Re: OOC 2
To begin with, yes there will be a way to distinguish between different plot threads. Specifically between SASPAR and character threads. More generic threads are going to be... well generic. But what I'm thinking of is titling them kind of like books or chapters. So something like "SASPARs reach" would clearly be a saspar thread, but something like "Morphs Father" would be a plot line about Morph.
I will most likely be hiding what the plots of each thread entails in terms of too much detail, so people can have fun with discovery and what not, but I will give the bare bones information so you can decide if you want to participate, or if you just wanna read. Cause I know that some people joined this game with the distinct hope for a more school based game, and not everyone wants to go around fighting SASPAR or dealing with other peoples problems.
Oh in the IC threads, it's less "Being attacked by ninja's" and more "Oh there's something weird in this area we're in. That's something to talk about" Like if the Iris group who's currently exploring find a radio tower or something. That's the sort of event I'm refering to. Something that's completely optional, and only has an impact if they so chose it to.
I will consider moving school mysteries and what not into the plot thread, the only problem with that is that the school thread, while as you said may get jumbled, allows for that sort of free interaction, where having a plot thread that's like "The Radio Tower" sort of... removes that mystery and discoverability. Though alternatively, because you all have freedom within the threads, I might just sprinkle them wherever they are needed, provided I catch an area. So just cause you explored an area before, doesn't mean that you saw everything that area has to offer.
In regards to players initiating things.
It's difficult to say. Cause there are some instances where it works out, EG Tweight was a great initiation from my perspective cause it led the group down a whole thing, and has lead to intereactions between students, and also given other characters chances to interact. But generally when it comes to instigation, I would prefer it if the idea was at least run by me, so it doens't run counter, or directly contradict something that is coming later.
