@David - Advance:

On this Advance, you can:
-Improve an Attribute (only available twice for your character, so use these prudently)
-Take a new move in your Clan Disciplines (you have had access to the Chantry so I will consider advancing in your path as well)
-Raise Humanity
-The information you gained about land developments during the masquerade ball is very useful. You may use it to gain Pull with a new faction or take the Background Resources.

When the ST asks if you want something else, you learn to listen: can I do whatever is most advantageous in this situation / least likely to lead to me dying before we even make it out of Conclave? :P Dumb bunny hours require a bunnytrainer please!

Wait, why did I put the winky face, now it seems like I'm being coy. I'm not. I'm hardly ever coy.

Here are three solid 1-point Presence options:

Awe: Spend 1 blood to carry +1 forward ongoing for the rest of the scene to manipulate someone.

Impact: Spend 1 blood to give off a powerful, distinct impression to all those you encounter. Give yourself a Condition for the rest of the scene of your own choosing, such as imposing, dangerous, or trustworthy.

Attraction: Roll with social. On a 10+, you become the center of attention—nobody can help but hang on your every word, track your every movement. On a 7-9, you draw the undivided attention of those you directly approach or interact with, but will not seize the attention of an entire ballroom simply for walking through the door. On a miss, you can’t use this move again for the rest of the night.

I'm gonna choose Impact and make that Impact "Authoritative" - like a great leader, Seren chooses to exude the qualities that would make others likely to follow her. She's copying off of Cnaeus' playbook, so it may be a slightly more coldly logical presence than on expects from a female leader, but something says she's the one to get the job done.

Spend 1 blood to give off a powerful, distinct impression to all those you encounter. Give yourself a Condition for the rest of the scene of your own choosing, such as imposing, dangerous, or trustworthy.

Coy STs are always the scariest because that means I'm about to make a mistake... I'm in danger!

Ooh, tempting options all.  One question about the Retainer possibility -- assuming Guillaume returns, fingers crossed, would Fergus then revert to his service and Eva would get another retainer, or something along those lines?  Otherwise it feels a little too much like Eva taking advantage of her Sire's absence to 'steal' a retainer, and that's out of character.

@Eva - if you pay the XP, Fergus is yours without complications.

In character we could decide that it has been this way for quite some time and nothing really changes or that Fergus has decided quite suddenly that with Guillaume’s disappearance he truly serves you.

I'll take the Retainer option, then, as long as we can work it out in character.  Say Fergus was originally Eva's retainer, but with her tending to defer to Guillaume when he's around it started to seem more like he was Guillaume's retainer, and now things have just reverted.  And Eva is trying to be a little more assertive as well.
