Jack 1.2

“Oh, well apparently the multiverse has a lot of versions of me that are psychos, so if I don’t seem to recognize you, you should probably avoid me or something,” Jack advises, he has to imagine that given enough iterations and practice he could derive a magic capable of killing a verser completely and ending their multiversal travels, or at least trap a soul for eternity toss it into a void dimension outside of time.

But he doesn’t get into that. He just takes the time to practice with Magehammer, putting together his kit and refining it. Learning to use his tools.

He’d probably try to combine them at least once, or at least begin the design process to reduce most of his gear to something he can conjure or summon. Combining his halberd with his wand, his armor with his amulet, etc. He doesn’t want to be walking around like a walking armory, it feels awkward, and at present he doesn’t have a bag of holding or anything of that sort.

“Say, do you have any bags of holding? I’m gathering all of these things and I feel unwieldy,” he mentions at some point after he has collected his modern weapons kit.

When he can get time with Magehammer, he works to hone himself so that if he ever runs into the likes of an Emperor Jack again, he might not die too quickly.

“What’s your favorite world you’ve been to?” he asks, finally sitting down with a beer. Looking no older now, but now nearing his late forties, it's been a long time since he tried any other substances. He mostly just prefers to drink occasionally, though he hasn't experienced the long pressure of existential ennui.

When some time away from Magehammer adds in "I hope you don't feel the same away about 'indigs', I like to think all and any life is precious. Besides even if it's not pain and suffering feeds beings I'm sure you would rather be allowed to propagate."

"We are of one mind, Stella. If you ever think I am slipping toward the point of being callous toward life, please do remind me. I imagine at this point my outlook is that aside from the worst scum, I prefer to let most everyone live or be disarmed or captured," Jack answers Stella while he is busy working on his method of combining tools, a long-term project.

Magehammer laughs heartily, "I wouldn't worry about that too much. Everyone does. Literally everyone ever does - probably. But you've also got a proportionate number of non-psychos. If the chances of you going psycho are 1 in 10000, then all of your divergents have the same probability."

quote:
he has to imagine that given enough iterations and practice he could derive a magic capable of killing a verser completely and ending their multiversal travels, or at least trap a soul for eternity toss it into a void dimension outside of time.

Over the course of 30 years, that's bound to come out. This is how he'd respond if it did:

Spoiler text: (Highlight or hover over the text to view)
"I've heard it might be possible, but I don't know anything about how to permanently end a verser. Trapping however... I've probably got about 1000 or so trapped versers stored away in time-lock right now."

quote:
Combining his halberd with his wand

Magehammer advises against modifying an Order object without being an Order Mage or Order Priest personally designated by the god of Order. That's something that chooses you - you can't just decide to become one. "However, I could combine them for you if you like." Without waiting for an answer he forcibly takes them from Jack and disappears into his Forge, coming back after a few hours with the two combined as one - the wand was turned into Order wood and worked into the handle of Orderblade.

quote:
his armor with his amulet

Breastplate of Defense

quote:
“Say, do you have any bags of holding? I’m gathering all of these things and I feel unwieldy,”

"Sorry, but no. Most versers start with a chest or a backpack for the first few hundred verses. It doesn't matter if you leave it somewhere since it'll come with you when you verse out even if someone else stole it for a time. You'll just have to travel as far away from where you start as it was from you when you versed out. Die with your stuff on you? It's still there when you wake. Die with your stuff on the other side of the world, it's still there when you wake. Die with your stuff in a black hole or an alternate dimension, it could be spread around a bit, but it'll be retrievable at least."

quote:
he might not die too quickly.

Magehammer gives him a holo-cube with a non-sentient AI martial arts teacher to study on his own time later on ((for simplicity, after the 30 years is up though realistically it'd be happening some during that time too)). Magehammer explains, "It's hard to know how powerful someone is before going into a fight with them. Ever read Sunny Zoo's Art of War? Sometimes the best battle is the one not faught - use your head to get out of fights as much as you can, unless you know they're no match for you. If it's a verser, it's better for you to tolerate an evil verser than to make an eternal enemy, in my opinion."

quote:
“What’s your favorite world you’ve been to?”

His eyes go glassy for a moment, as he mouths, "Sambina"

After a moment of reverie, he admits, "It was never the worlds, it was always the people. I miss a woman I met on my first Verse - Samantha. The first time she met me, was in her first verse. She was scared and alone in the woods and I helped her. When I met her, she already had undying loyalty and love for me since we had already known eachother for years from her perspective. The last time I saw her, we had both spent over 8000 years together in total across hundreds or thousands of worlds. I'd do anything for her.

"But of the worlds I've been to, I was fond of Weedworld - every plant was a version of this one," he holds up the herb from his bong, "Even the fauna were smokable and filled with THC. But I also appreciated my second trip to Pearl Harbor. In my first trip to the city, I tried to warn the military base of an impending attack by their enemies that I knew about from history in my home universe. I crashed a jeep trying to escape from prison since no one was listening to me, then I had to listen from the hospital in a full-body cast to the city being decimated until a bomb landed in my bed. The second time, I didn't waste a moment. I flew around the base causing as much damage as I could, sinking most of the shipyard myself in just a few minutes. By the time I was finished, my home country declared war on the enemy within hours. Proudest day of my life, so far."

quote:
working on his method of combining tools

Helmet combines nicely with the compass and holo-cube trainer in detachable positions, then detect magic is always on when looking through the helmet's visor, and the martial arts training program can be fully immersive.

Jack listens to all that Magehammer has to say, and even tries to read between the lines and learn things that the man hasn’t thought to teach him. When he finds out that he can just leave things laying around and they are somehow bound to travel with him, he does ask: “So if I get anything, it just automatically travels with me? Does that mean if I use a carriage at one point, I’ll always have that carriage? What’re the constraints of permanence between verses?”

The advice about not fighting is treated with a nod of the head, he had tried not to fight the Emperor until he was certain it was going to end up badly, that and the constant stream of torture videos. Maybe he’d been manipulated, it’s hard to be certain. Though he can’t imagine they knew he was going to banish the Emperor. Such a strange situation.

“She sounds lovely, Mr. Magehammer,” the wizard replies with a smile, and doesn’t ask any questions about her. This seems like the sort of touchy subject that would result in one of Magehammer’s spirals.

Having combined so much of his stuff, and learned as much as he has, he gets back to thinking about the fight against the Emperor. The guy had seemed strong and terribly fast. Inhuman. Like a full-sized dragon in human skin, as fast as a bolt of lightning, and tough!

“When I fought the Emperor Jack, briefly, I mean he was really strong and fast, like, way stronger than a spell would make me, at least without a ton of fine tuning and a ritual. Any advice on how to match that?” he asks, the questions rolling in across the years as he trains and learns from the elder Verser.

The combination of helmet and compass also has the effect of making it so that Stella is probably now infused as well, which might result in some curious combinations, one might assume.

((I'm going to keep asking questions until something happens by the way.))

"I just thought of something... is he really a real dragon now, and is this going to last after he verses? Because if so ..... well never mind a dragon will find him and teach him all he would need to know wouldn't they? I kinda wish it was my creator, but her dragon self dont to much besides looking into the future, birthing herself new selves, and signing universes into being."

(You can change that if it dont aline with things...oh and if you WHANT to use dragon Aflea, go ahead and do so...you can RPer as with as advance her Verimagus would be at this point she probably makes about as much sense to normal people as her teacher did.  She probably talk like those beings in the longest story who are visiting a world where time flows but are from one with out it and persive all time happening at once so when they talk to you they can't tell the difference between the past present or future and there consequences and causality is all mixed up and the third time you meet them it's the first time you meet them to them and stuff like that)

((Explain, you may be right for all I know. I can roll for it if it's too overpowered, or if not, it might be obviously so.))

quote:

"No. As a matter of fact, if you owned an anvil, it would probably be too heavy to take with you. For some reason I don't understand, there seems to be a weight limit on what you can take with you, but whatever that limit is, you have to be the owner of it. You can't take a rifle you borrowed from some indig unless that person died and had no heirs and you consider it to be your own and no one disputes that. If two Versers both feel they own the same thing, there seems to be a contest of wills or rights, either way, the multiverse decides who keeps it if it's ownership is in dispute."

EDIT: "Oh yeah, that weight limit increases over time. Again, I'm not sure by just how much."

quote:
Any advice on how to match that?”

"Train, practice, and end up in a verse that makes that easier." He shows a video from his phone from within the forge of a man the size of Juggernaut fighting a woman equally big and strong. "This is Ma and Pa. They've got some sort of something with eachother - they always fight and they seem to always end up in the same verse together. They ignore everyone else, but one battle between the two of them has the collateral damage of a nuclear explosion." He explains what that is. "They got that strong by training and practicing and being in the right works to gain physical abilities like self-healing and super-strength and so on."

quote:
((I'm going to keep asking questions until something happens by the way.))

((That's okay. He'll get tired of answering questions at some point and brood. But there are 30 years to all the questions, so once in satisfied that Jack's author - you - know enough about the Verse to get by, we'll move on.))

quote:
is he really a real dragon now

No, only cartoon Jack in toonland is a dragon because there are no humans in this world. Also, he's not a Pskaenian Dragon like from the Nexus multiverse cluster. He's a cartoon Order Dragon. It's completely different. But wondering about this, Stella would see that on a microscopic level, he is basically ink and magic.

((I figured she might be able to control the combat training AI and add to the training, interacting with the other modules on the helmet.))

Jack listens, as he always does, and absorbs. He’d just need to find ways to improve his strength and such, and see how that carries through to the other universes.  He makes a mental note to try and figure out the exact weight, volume and nature of how the multiversal powers work to draw items between universes.

The questions he asks at various points across thirty years are as follows:
  • “Is there a spell or way to aim where you end up?”
  • “In the same sense, is there a way to trigger the move without dying? The Emperor wanted to die to do it, but I have to imagine there are spells for it too.”
  • “Do you always end up the same? As in, are you ever reborn? Younger or older? I imagine it’d be harder if I looked like an old man and wanted to go to a world’s equivalent of a magic academy, to learn their version of magic, you know?” Though he does look to be in his late teens, so he can probably pull off looking a bit younger without too much effort.
  • “Any other people I see I should run from? Like this Ma and Pa seem like I should banish them if I can, or at least get my ass away from where they’re fighting.”

He has other questions, but most of them seem like the sort of thing he’d have to train for and learn to do. He also ends up getting a crash course in terminology for things like ‘nanites,’ ‘technology’ and cars. He stops thinking of them as magical conveyances and begins to understand that they are the combination of simple mechanical devices combined to make much more complex ones.

One is studying Unimagus for a few decades... and the other is blowing yourself up with Void Balur for a few days till you figure out how to make stable portals. As far as control that takes practice and a focus, Aflea use to play the harpitar and sing... but she was part elf and they are tied with music and song. She build a void Balur dimensional tuning fork of sorts into her harpitar and used to to go wherever she wanted. Though she eventually replaced it with one that used magistone and worked with her unimagus."

quote:
see how that carries through to the other universes

In his normal human body within the forge, Magehammer is quite buff and fairly tall. There are a few faded reproductions of pictures of him from Earth circa 2012. In them he is a little shorter and has a dad-bod with skinny arms. When he notices your curious attention, he explains, "Any strength you gain through training stays with you. Any injuries you sustain - no matter how severe - are healed if you verse out before healing. If you lose a hand and live a year before versing out, you go into the next verse one-handed. But now that you can use Order Healing, that won't be a problem. You can heal any wound that you are strong enough to heal as long as that magic can be used there."

quote:
Jack listens, as he always does, and absorbs. He’d just need to find ways to improve his strength and such, and see how that carries through to the other universes.  He makes a mental note to try and figure out the exact weight, volume

((Theoretically he could, but I don't have the exact figures and I don't have a problem with giving him an infinite storage device after this world if he needs it. I think it's supposed to increase each time you verse (after spending a reasonable amount of time in a world), by about 10-100 kg. So he does the research, and it doesn't cost any extra time from other things.))
quote:
and nature of how the multiversal powers work to draw items between universes

"That's the scriff in you, which is also infecting your stuff." *Roll* You get the feeling there's more to it than that.

quote:
“Is there a spell or way to aim where you end up?”

"Maybe, anything's possible. Max Headroom, a verse I've met more times than I can count, claims he can jump from verse to verse, but I think he uses trans-verse portals to go where he wants. That only works in worlds where those technologies can work. I've never heard of someone choosing where they go when they die, but in my experience, the gods can choose for you."
quote:
“In the same sense, is there a way to trigger the move without dying? The Emperor wanted to die to do it, but I have to imagine there are spells for it too.”

"Not that I know of. But you could die painlessly. Max, for instance, has a chip in his head that kills him instantly if he verses into a world without enough tech to let the chip work right, or if he starts experiencing too much pain."
quote:
“Do you always end up the same? As in, are you ever reborn? Younger or older? I imagine it’d be harder if I looked like an old man and wanted to go to a world’s equivalent of a magic academy, to learn their version of magic, you know?” Though he does look to be in his late teens, so he can probably pull off looking a bit younger without too much effort.

At that, Magehammer swings the hammer over his head, and a whirlwind of black and white surrounds him. When it subsides a moment later, he's a tiny toddler. In a baby's voice with an adult accent he says, "Anything's possible. I've never had my age changed by the verse, and I've never heard of anyone being reborn, except spiritually, but anything's possible." With a whirl of his hammer, he returns to normal.
quote:
“Any other people I see I should run from? Like this Ma and Pa seem like I should banish them if I can, or at least get my ass away from where they’re fighting.”

"You see Ma or Pa, just stay the fuck out of their way and if you care about the indigs, evacuate them any way you can. They are highly resistant to all magic and tech, and I've never heard of anyone who surpassed their physical state, except other species. And they can change their DNA and physically shapeshift, so even aliens wouldn't stop them. But every entity ever born is probably a verser somewhere, and probably has an infinite number of divergents. You could meet a divergent me in the future, and he could be the kind of ass-hole to kill you first rather than say hello. Some versers are like that. They'll kill any verser who verses into the same world as them as quick as they can. Most people aren't like that, but it's impossible to predict. Anything's possible."
quote:
I know of two ways you can travel with out dying. One is studying Unimagus for a few decades

True
quote:
and the other is blowing yourself up with Void Balur for a few days till you figure out how to make stable portals.

Stella adds, "OH! I almost forgot! Balur is now controlled by Een's awareness, so it probably wouldn't blow you up to try making Portals that way - you'd just have to find a way to get the Balur dust on you to grow into crystals first."
The holographic trainer, who is now interconnected with Stella's awareness and has access to her knowledge while attached to her through the helmet, suddenly appears in the form of Ben Stein and in monotone says, "Magus is the native magic of the Pskaenian multiverse, driven by nanites with magical abilities that avoid direct observation at all costs; and Balur is a crystaline lifeform with the power to convert its mass to energy in order to alter the physical world - its capacity to act (and think) is directly proportional to the size of its largest single crystal in the universe it currently occupies." ((He can explain how to grow Balur crystals if need be))

One of the very important aspects of Order Magic is that it uses your energy reserves to add Order to anything, and taking Order from anything adds energy back into your reserves. Ideally you'd take turns adding and removing Order to prevent excessive buildup of Order (which can cause flash freezing or sudden darkness or other things) or excessive loss of Order (which could cause your body to fall into a pile of mush or do other things).

At the end of his training, Magehammer says, "Wait here! I've got a special surprise for you that I've been working on for exactly 64 years now. The god of Order told me to make it 64 years ago, and today told me to give it to you. I'll be right back." He goes into the forge, and after a few moments, the forge and every unsold item in the shoppe disappears. Magehammer's scriff-sense vector (the tugging that-way sensation) is gone. Jack is the only verser in toonland.

Jack as always, listens to everything attentively every time that Magehammer has something interesting to say. The note about learning ‘Unimagus’ magic has him interested, and he makes a note to do that when he’s not doing other things. That sounds interesting, and could lead to all sorts of interesting discoveries.

The words about Ma and Pa being unsurpassable instills in him a deep, and unexpected, need to surpass them. He has so little interest in being a meathead who solves problems with his fists, but now, hearing that, after twenty years of learning about being a Verser and how things work, he sort of wants to do it. Like climbing a mountain. He has heard about the biggest mountain, and now he wants to climb them both, plant his flag and then eventually tell Mr. Magehammer he did it.

Add that to the to-do list, brain.

“Could I grow a Balur crystal in a pocket dimension or something similar, and take one along with me when I travel?” he asks. It’d help when he eventually learns Unimagus.

The comment about something being made for him earns a raised eyebrow and he tries to figure out what it could be, and just as he is beginning to guess, he finds that Mr. Magehammer has disappeared.

“Either he did that on purpose, as a joke, or picking it up killed him?” he speculates to the Stellamet.  Standing there stunned for as long as it takes him to get over it and decide that he isn’t going to just pop up again.

“Well, I don’t suppose he’s coming back. Let’s go find something fun in this world,” he decides. Putting on all of his gear, he makes sure he hasn’t left anything behind, and then takes off flying. Headed off randomly now.

"Well if you don't have a particular level of balur saturation you can't control balur, so dust manipulation would be difficult." If she has anyway of telling if Jack has the right amount of balur in him she will check, and try and guide him to collecting the dust on him into once place maybe even have enough to make a very small crystal. "If you did have an dimentinal pocket though it would be a good place for void balur to grow... as balur grows by absorbing the type of energy associated with it."

"I know some basics about Unimagus and can start you down the path of learning it, but it would take some time experimenting on your own before you would be able to make portals. That and my knowlage is all second hand so it might not help you at all and you could be waisting years trying.... so I think you should try and find a teacher if you wish to know that."

((Exactly.
I've got to tell you, studying or using magics from the Pskaena multiverse would be only one limited option. Magus - the magical nannite magic system - is hard to train in and only works in universes that would allow both moderate magic and super high technology. Only the simplest of Magus spells could even be used in toonland, and mostly just on himself. Balur isn't bad to learn because it's "magic" is actually based on normal physics and doesn't rely on tech or magic, so it would work in a high tech universe was well as a low tech, high magic or low magic, but not toonland with its extremely  low physical. A Verser can figure out what kind of laws govern their available items, spells and tech by trying a series of little tests when they verse in to a new universe - that way they don't run across a cop, yell out a magic word and look like they're having a breakdown. But there are literally an infinite number of magics and spells you could learn, so feel free to imagine away and not rely on a system I made for a different game. I enjoy those magics since I created Magus and altered Balur from a simple crystal magic system, those systems will be available to you even if Jack ends up trapped inside another Verser's pocket dimension prison for a few hundred years. That wasn't foreshadowing, but it's not off the table - it could be fun!))

He isn't saturated yet, but it's working its way into his body and items and he will be saturated by the end of the next world, able to create a small crystal and work on growing it. The Magus nannites will always automatically try their best to enhance any spell Jack uses.

Toonland isn't 3d or 2d or 4d. Toonland is any which way but loose, except when it is loose. The Cardinal directions in toonland are not North/South, Easy/West, but are instead:

Plausible/absurd (what happens)
Serious/wacky (why things happen)
Symbolic/surreal/realistic (how it's drawn)
Strict/loose (what characters can be there - in-show only or crossovers allowed)

For example,
Simpsons would be plausible to mildly absurd, wacky, mild realism, strict while
Simpsons Halloween specials would be absurd, wacky, mild realism, loose
Silly Symphonies would be absurd, wacky, surreal, strict

Magehammer spent alot of spare time in Loose Anime districts.

Today: Writer, on behalf of Jack, rolled 26 using 4d20 ((16,1,2,7)).

Jack went towards an area that is very absurd, extremely serious, very symbolic, and strict.

((This was very not planned and could have huge consequences))

He lands on a giant chess board as a black pawn nearing the end of the board. The Black King piece readies a Black Bishop, Rook and Knight, not revealing which one he'll choose.

A giant hand moves a grey rook away from the black Jack pawn.

((Neat! I’m a bit like Ash with magic, I wanna catch ‘em all. Be the best there ever was.))

Jack glances around at where he has wound up, not quite pinning down the nature of Toon Land just yet. It’s a continuum of some sort of drawn universes, but that in itself has him wondering if those universe also exist on their own and this conjoined format is simply yet another place where they exist? Does he change as he travels now? Or is he a dragon through and through?

Looking around at squares around him, he realizes that he has indeed become a pawn.

“A pawn? Really? Stella, we’re adding it to the to-do list, I’m going to get strong enough that no universe dares to make me a ‘pawn,’ that’s so insulting,” he says, feeling a bit peeved. Though he’s also curious what is happening here, so he stays to let it play out.

Talking to the Stellamet is his way of talking to himself when he feels like talking outloud to himself. It makes him feel less insane. Though he is clearly surrounded by insanity.

quote:
Does he change as he travels now? Or is he a dragon through and through

Along the strict/loose continuum, loose means that characters from multiple different cartoon universes can be present. Strict means that only characters from that cartoon concept universe can be present. However characters from other universes or shows or comics can appear as characters that would be consistent in that particular location. For instance, in a Batman cartoon area which is strict, anyone can show up as an extra. A cartoon cow from Mickey mouse universe, might show up as a cow in a zoo, or as a person in a cow costume. here, Jack is a pawn.

The black king says, "greetings Jack." Jack's pawn moves to the end of the board. "Now is your chance to become something other than a pawn. Should you choose you may become a knight, a priest, or a mage. The position of Queen is not yet open. As a night, you will be able to continue to use order magics through your Halberd or as Dragon. As a priest, you will have access to all of my power as the god of order, and I will intervene in your life to save you or place you where I desire you to be. As a mage, you will be able to make items of order, such as order iron, order wood and other order items, provided you have the skill. Also as a mage, I may call upon you from time to time. What is your choice?"

Jack 1.2

Jack looks up at the Black King and then he recalls the chess piece which had changed his halberd to begin with.

“Can a mage still use order magics for other purposes or are they only able to craft?” he asks. “Because if I can still use Order Magic, like Mr. Magehammer taught me, I’d like to be a mage. The idea of being able to craft like he did would be really interesting.”

A pause.

“And can I still uh, promote to become a Queen, if I stop being a pawn?” he asks, not familiar with the rules. Perhaps Stella was right and he should remain a pawn until he can promote directly.

Knowing his mind, the black king laughs and says, "This is why I chose you. You have ambition. Magehammer is himself an order mage. Most of what magic you saw him do, was done through order magic. You would, as a mage, be able to use all order magic. You would have to practice in it in order to become better at it, just as in every other skill that can be mastered. You could even pray if you chose to, to the god of Order, myself. That is to say, you could speak with me through your mind. However, as a mage, there is no guarantee that I would care or listen."

He looks at the tiny 5 chess pieces sticking to Jack's pawn, and says, "Greetings, Stella, Connie, Constance, Scord and Een. How is it with you?"

One of the tiny chess pieces responds, "Salutations to the Avatar of Order. Een and I are well, just focused on growing until we can become useful again."

Another piece responds, "Tiny... mind... "

The black king sends a bolt of black lightning toward the most recently speaking chess piece, the chess piece seems to grow in some way yet does not increase in size.

"Ah! Thank you for that, that is much better. Are we still mages of Order?"

"No. In your current forms, you are the avatars of your own form of magic. The time will come when you will be like me - once you transcend the limits of the multiverse. Your magic is limited to the kind of magic that you are, yet it is unlimited in that it is as powerful as it is possible to be. With great power, great responsibility. The all will be in touch with you soon."

The black king says, "And what about you two Constance and Connie?"

The two arguing chess pieces which were the vampire sword say, "We're busy, thank you very much."

Jack can’t exactly explain what is happening around him with all of these pieces talking while attached to him somehow, but he thinks he can process. They’re attached to him because they represent kinds of magic, or something of that sort. He doesn’t want to get into that however, as he’s certain it’s just a manifestation of being a chess piece of Order in this case.

The explanation of what it means to be a Mage of Order gathers a mental nod of the head from the verser, but he doesn’t say anything further.

Leaving the others to their conversations while he waits for the King to do the next thing. Make him a mage? Or is that already done? Will he become a different piece?

He would like to be able to access his things and use them, but it feels inappropriate to move around, seeing as he’s a piece on a board at the moment and it might disrupt their game. It’s not like he minds waiting a few minutes. He spent thirty years learning from Mr. Magehammer, he can handle a few minutes waiting for his turn.

Jack 1.2

The Black and White Kings and Queens all laugh, and black and white lightning falls from every direction and hits everything.

Jack is himself. He is human, wearing his robes and equipment.

But Cagedeath is a gilded cage with a wise man in an attractive dress and a strong woman in dashing leather arguing inside. They both appear comfortable, and are arguing about a woman the man had known some 100,000 years ago. They're wearing matching wedding wristbands.

The Helmet is Stella, the giant rabbit.

A small Magusstone in Cagedeath is Scord and Een, who look like this: https://www.pikpng.com/pngl/m/...er-action-figure.png

The Black King says to Stella, "Nice work with the Leporidaeans. We love them, here."

The Black King and Queen are 16 feet tall, dressed in smooth black light-absorbing material sprinkled with glittering stars. The White King and Queen are 13 and 19 feet tall, dressed in white and rainbow flames.

The gods of Order say to Jack, "The choice is yours to make - if you would like to become an Order Mage, signify by saying, 'I am an Order Mage.', in doing so, you will have access to all of the power of Order to the extent that your will, skill, enchanted objects and rituals can obtain by your effort. You will also be required from time to time - not more than 1/64th of your time alive, and not less than 1/512th of your time alive - to create an object for any person the King and Queen of Order request. In the event this agreement is not upheld by either part, the life of the one who does not comply will be ended once, not to exceed a single incarnation or 'verse'.  - if you would like to become an Order Mage, signify by saying, 'I am an Order Mage.'"

"While I admit it was so much more work than Alfea ever thought it would be, it was diffidently worth it. Even if saving them started a war, it was a war that should be fought. While everything has a right to exist, feed, propagate and the like.... a world dedicated to the factory farming of suffering tortured souls is not acceptable."

Decides to make herself look like a Leporidaean plant golem for old times sake, mixing in the materials and look of the compass she is bound to to make up metallic looking and steampunk clothing. Holding a staff of a stylized compass neddle with the crystal she is bound to in it..... because why not.  (stella's stats should have been good enough to pull this off then lol should be more so now, altering a spiritual/mental projection of her form should be easish if the god creating the mini realm isn't trying to hold her to a form.... not they could easy force her back if she fought if she did it while they wheren't paying atention it would be easy! =p)

"I do see though it is avoiding the question of promotion you asked."

Scord explains, "The Queen of Order is the goddess of Order. To become the Queen, you'd have to become as powerful as possible in Order magics, and be willing to commit to the role as Queen, sacrificing your ego in the process. You could become the Queen later, but being a mage won't prevent that and can only help... I asked the same question when it was my turn, umptynine thousand years ago."

Jack doesn’t really want to commit himself to any one type of magic, he wants all of them. That’s the thing that the years with Magehammer taught him. It’s the opportunity to know every magic.  The fact that he might be asked to help the God of Order with business related to maintaining Order, and that others have done so, makes him accept without hesitation: “I am an Order Mage.”

The conversation between the small pieces attached to him earns a glance, but he doesn’t bother them. Just listens and appreciates the feedback from one of them about how it won’t influence his ability to grow.
