quote:
you can change your shape? How durable are you?” Jack asks the hologram
"Yes, I can accommodate any any simple shape like an item of clothing, or if you have one, I can convert the interior of any object you own into the inside of the bag. The Tardis is more durable than it should be, but using it as a shield risks damaging the mechanisms and causing your stuff to fly out across the universe if the bag explodes from damage."

Proceeding into his hat, he waits for Pete and learns the business of summoning anvils
Pete comes into the hat and becomes a dog/bear-like furry creature and bellows, "HA! You want to learn cartoon magic inside this space?! Come-on, I'll wait outside to teach you cartoon magic in a cartoon world." ((Specialized magic is easier to learn in places especially suited for it - and I already rolled and don't want to have to re-roll with fewer dice for you))

Pete says, "So here's what you gotta do for summoning an anvil from hammerspace - look at something that needs a good smashing, draw a big "X" on the ground below it, then stand back and wait confidently, believing with all your might that an anvil will fall out of the sky and smash it. That's not the only way, but it's my favorite. The more steps you put in, the more likely it will be to happen. It's the same principle for summoning any item from hammerspace. It's just; don't expect anything you wouldn't expect to see in a wacky cartoon. All you gotta do is confidently reach somewhere out of sight or prepare to receive the object you want from someplace out of sight, and it'll oblige. You'll get a cartoon version of that item. It works better when you try to get it from a place that's already a cartoon."

Pete suggests smashing a tall and thin grey cartoon bunny passing by, but the bunny says, "Oh, go pick on a big-eared mouse, doc," and wanders off.
Whatever Jack decides to drop an anvil on, when the anvil falls, it isn't a cartoon, it is solid real iron.
Pete looks amazed for a split second, before scoffing and saying, "Beginner's luck. That's very rare, so don't count no it happening often. Any toon items summoned will disappear once they're no longer needed or if they wear out. But in the rare cases you get something real, it's real."
((Beginner's luck is a very real phenomenon in games like this with Versers. According to JohnA1NUT, it's a big thing that no one can explain, and it often annoys the GM for how good of an outcome it is often associated with))
Pete says, "Remember, I'll be back for my nail first, and the rent later."
Jack remembers his instructions and figures that his hat is at least partly cartoon, so...
*roll & advance Summon Object from Hammerspace*
Jack pulls a hammer from his hat. From the feel of the hammer, it'll be good enough to make 2 or 3 nails before it'll need replacing. There's no forge here, but the spare forge in Magehammer's shoppe might still be there. Of course, there're other ways to heat up metal, and there are a few pounds of scrap iron laying around Jack's stall area.

“You’re too pretty now, Elliott
Elliott does her best to put Jack at ease as gestures at her party outfit, a full punk-leather outfit with spiky black hair and metal studs - all somehow managing to be classy, gorgeous and casual at the same time, "I didn't spend 4 hours on my outfit and 2 hours changing my body just to change my mind. Don't worry, we're old friends. I'll be your wingman if you want, all I want is to catch up with my old friend Jack. Whatever else is just bonus."
quote:
Hey Elliott, see that one, I made that one
...
he says with a smirk at the pun.
Elliott laughs at the groan-worthy pun and watches with interest the universe in question.
Once that universe seems to be done being destroyed, she says, "Hey Jack! There's one of my world-enders!"
Jack sees a world in a giant toon pond, and a drain-plug at the bottom. A one-eyed fish with a scar over the left eye socket is being chased by a big group of sharks. The fish swims to the plug and pulls it out. The entire world empties into nothingness.
Elliott says, "That one really sucked."
