Re: OOC One

As it doesn't seem as though anyone is contributing any further to ...
quote:
Kestrel:
Hmm...maybe we can start with a throw-away villain to defeat as a good point for all of us to meet?
Example:
The Mole Man and his troops invade the surface and we all end up working together to send him packing! ;)
Archer:
Lets first ask, if Moleman suddenly invaded the surface world with his troops, tunnelling a way up (ala Underminer in Incredibles), how would we each respond.

I'll start: Archer would grown large, and attempt to pick up the tunnelling device, and shove it back down the hole, to block the way and inhibit the troops following it.
Duellist:
Duelist would have leaped in to confront the troops, keeping them occupied and distracted with jabs from her sword and dodging their blows.
Kestrel:
Kestrel would be hard to see as she turns to Air, being seen mostly as a shadow flying around the battlefield and using blasts of air against any moleman who had cover from the sky. She would manipulate the weather so that a Lightning storm was happening over the location of the moleman tunnel, sending lightning down from the sky to strike any moleman who got past the mole machine.

Rock Star:
He probably was happy to help Archer with shoving the tunneling machine back into its hole. All the while with a brilliant flashy light show and some loud music, something like his own version of Cum on Feel the Noise. blasting the molemen

Archer:
Looking to Rock Star and Duellist to deal with this infestation, Archer would offer her hand, as she began shrinking back down, to the flying Kestrel, “Can you get me there fast?”

As Kestrel (assumably) took Archer’s hand, Archer continued to shrink to a tiny ‘handful’ size … for easy transport.

As Kestrel came in close to the new threat, Archer called out, “Fast Ball me”. Thrown at the machine, Archer again increased in size to ‘giant’ proportions … slamming shoulder first into the emerging metal beast.
Kestrel:
Kestrel was about to explain to Archer that she couldn't carry anyone while flying when the woman shrunk down to a tiny doll that fit in her hand. Tilting her head sideways, she focused her wind power out through her hand to lift the woman into the air and float her as she turned back into air. "okay, never done this before so lets see if this work!" By some miracle she keeps Archer floating above her hand as she flew the woman toward the other mole machine, although it took lots of focus (power stunt, might not be able to do that ingame ;) ).

"Fast Ball special coming up," Kestrel acknowledged, her voice sounding very windy as she directed her wind power to send the tiny doll toward the mole machine, knowing the woman can grow to be a giant. Hoping that Archer times things right as she then sends blasts of lightning out of the sky and into groups of mole men charging out from behind the machine as Archer slammed into in her giant form.

... after the battle, Doctor Archer would quickly ensure each of those who'd helped out received a business card from her.
It seems that she wasn't to shy about hiding her identity ... and it was easy for each to find out who she was in the days (hours?) that followed.

Thus is my attempt to make Archer available as an initial contact point ... and perhaps an avenue towards team-ship.

Re: OOC One

Sounds like the group formed up during the mole-man invasion (I think the Underminer escaped). They would have come together, again, to assist with the latest natural disaster. That suggests they're somewhat experienced, everyone receives 2001 experience points.

Re: OOC One

Also questions:

For those of us who wish to have a Security Clearance (I'm guessing Agent 9): what level does he start at, and does that increase with the level up?

For those of us who wish to have wealth/income: how do we determine how much?

For those of us that wish to have an Education/career: can we select one for free at character gen? or should we allocate our first Level up improvement to 'Education' (purchasing that field we want to be 'educated' in)?

Re: OOC One

Calculate security clearance as follows, however, the highest clearance will be twenty and the lowest possible is four.
Security Clearance CalculationBase Score = 40
Subtract the characters'Modifications
Experience LevelSubtract half of the character's experience
level if he has a criminal record.
Intelligence Score*Subtract half of the character's Intelligence
score if he has the weakness Prejudice.
Charisma Score*
Foreign, alien, nonhuman, etc. characters subtract
half of their Charisma score; if known to be from
an enemy country or if personally subject to some
sort of major public distrust, then do not subtract
the character's Charisma score at all.

*The maximum subtraction allowed for either of these is 25 a piece.

Wealth/Income
Yearly income equals the character's Age x Intelligence x Charisma, times an additional ten if the job is full-time as opposed to part-time.
Wealth can be up to three times this annual income, as desired.

Choose the education, both field and level, that you desire your character to have.
Agent 9 and Saber 7:
Do we get the experience, too?

Yes, and don't forget to add that history to the character.

Re: OOC One

Awesome, thank you.

Then I choose 'Scientist- Physics' as Archer's initial profession.
Then, with the level up, I am choosing 'Education: Medical' as her upgrade ... making her an expert Scientist-Doctor. please?
This is a Full Time job for her.

Re: OOC One

So the lowest security level is the best?

I think I am at 18.

Seems like it is possible to have a clearance higher than 20, does that mean no security clearance at all?

In reply to Archer (msg # 101):

The Zenith in an inter-galactic professional wrestler, the Heavy Weight Champion of her own home Galaxy. The best is her title. It also enhances her powers, as I opted to have a weakness. It is also large and garish enough that she doesn't wear it all the time, for example when she goes out for dinner or some such. Given the current situation, I deemed it reasonable that she would want to be be fully prepared.

Re: OOC One

I am having trouble figuring out what to do with my gained level. Can I learn an Earth-style martial art, like Judo, and is there aw way for that to be reflected in the game? Or should I just take a +1 to damage and move on?

Re: OOC One

As training in Judo, your character can do a "throw". Attacks as hand to hand, damages as hand to hand damage based on the victim's weight plus the attacker's damage modifier and leaves the victim in the prone position. If the victim successfully 'rolls with the punch' the victim may make an agility save to avoid being left in the prone position.
Be sure to RP references to your Earth sensei, in as colorful a way as you desire.

Re: OOC One

There should be a 'training' spot on the sheet that looks like this: Training:

Use that header to enter your training, be sure to indicate what you will train for next level.

Re: OOC One

Both. Something like this:
Training: Agility
    previous training
  1. Judo training - throw, Attacks as hand to hand, damages as hand to hand damage based on the victim's weight plus the attacker's damage modifier and leaves the victim in the prone position. If the victim successfully 'rolls with the punch' the victim may make an agility save to avoid being left in the prone position.
  2. Lost weight (13 lbs), gained one strength
  3. gained one endurance
