Is anyone on our 'team' super INT?
Could be we're facing a super high INT opponent and thus such a complicated override on the mech -- but maybe not all the mech controls on board?  (Ie it's a drone?)

I'm curious why fill a mech with unskilled crew that are operating self-destruct prevention terminals?

Is the mech a giant bomb meant to explode and take out heroes?

Perhaps you should define "unskilled".
Thus far, no one has been able to take over for any of the operators.
There appear to be almost a dozen stations coordinating their efforts and making the mech move as fluidly as if it were a single operator.
Would you consider this unskilled?

I guess I should state that none seemed to be able to independently pilot the mech, so we couldnt take it over.

GM is trying to decide the fate of a few other operators in the huge mech. He's decided that wouldn't be apparent to those in Times Square, so we'll drop out of combat there.

Heroes looked & pulled out everyone we saw.  Unless someone has a Heightened Sense' that could find people on various compartments in the mech, I figure we don't find them?

But Empress charmed a few crewpeople, so they might feel compelled to tell her how many people were onboard the mech?

I tossed out everyone I encounter on the way up from the bottom. Now I was just planning on grabbing the girl at the self destruct console and trying to leap clear of the mech before being consumed in a huge fireball of an explosion!

IRL - we are almost thru move from Richmond (East Bay), California to Washington State.  Internet coming into new place today, shipping container coming today -- find out what stuff got busted in transit over next few weeks.

I'm married with wife & 2 kids, this move has been a challenge!  But also kind of an adventure!
