This is where the giant mech was sent.

Deep beneath the sea…

A shape glides through the currents, circling a crack in the ocean floor. It seems human in silhouette except for four undulating limbs propelling in swiftly through the water.

It lands at the edge of the crack, stirring a small cloud of dust as fish scatter around him. It…he, rather….makes some rapid clicking sounds.

A topography unfolds in his mind. At the bottom of the crevice he senses the tips of Basalt spires. His senses can go no further.

“The City! I found it!” He thinks. “I wonder if its still inhab—-“

Another echo returns, from the opposite direction. A giant metallic figure? Or pieces of one? Plummeting into the water and sinking straight down.

He looks up, then back down at the primordial spires.

“No!!!” His jaws open to monstrous width and expose rows of teeth as he shrieks. Like a torpedo he propels himself upwards in a swirling tunnel of current until he reaches the mecha. He pushes with all his might to move the largest piece off its current course and away from hidden city.

After the mech hits the water and sinks low enough to suggest it will threaten what's below, its own buoyancy and Kraken's efforts send it back to the surface. Above the floating mech, there's a hole in the sky. A thirty-five foot tall woman holding a man in a diving suit that looks like Captain Nemo designed it plummets towards the water from the hole. The mech in question bobs quietly, appearing to lack any sort of locomotion. As the giant falls she releases the diver and begins to shrink to a more normal size. Both the odd diver and the formerly giant woman smack into the mech with loud clangs. Another woman, of stunning appearance pops through the hole in the sky and floats down to settle on the back of the mech.

Empress hover just above the mech.  "HellooOooooOoo?  Rockstar?  Anyone?  I'm risking my life standing over this robo-BOMB, so if you are here and need a rescue, now is the time!"

Empress gestures and a glowing tele-portal appears.  She keeps the portal ready for a quick get away in case the whole shebang blows.

She looks for survivors (but only from the surface, she doesn't go underwater).  She uses her TK powers to open hatches and move debris.

Detect Hidden & Detect Danger looking for any survivors or any threats...?

As Empress runs her scans, she sees Kraken crawl out of an open hatch like a scene from a Lovecraft novel.

"Excuse me! Do you make a habit out of dropping giant robots over people's heads? It's very rude!"

Seeing Kraken clearly interests Empress, her face beaming a wry smile.

"Rude?  Me?  Oh no my dear, this Robot was attacking-- and could possibly have exploded -- so we sent it far away from the city.

But if you know of creatures in this vicinity who are in danger, we should clear them as fast as possible because this 'bot could blow at any moment!"

She flies up closer to Kraken, clearly unafraid.
"I'm Empress, and who might you be?

Before Kraken can answer she flirtatiously bats her eyelashes and says, "Forgive me dear, I'd almost forgotten why I'm here for.  HELLO ROCKSTAR???  ARE YOU HERE?"

She says in a regular voice,
"What were you saying again, darling?

Wordlessly, Anchor pulls himself upright and approaches the head of the mech. With a gesture he opens a person-sized hole in the thing and starts helping people out.

After climbing out, Rock Star addresses Empress. "It ain't gonna blow. All the guts inside the thing were fried in a fell swoop, knowhutahmean. Me an the pilots are a tad toasted, but ok."

Four more pilots climb out of the mech. They are burned, bruised and bedraggled. All of them flinch at hearing Rock Star's voice.

"Oh my.  Well then, if it's safe, I can teleport all of you and the robot back to the city -- if that would be best?"

She flicks her hair.
The injured pilots stop what they are doing and look at Empress, mesmerized.  Likely it's challenging for everyone else to not be enthralled as well.

Acting unaware of the rapt attention, Empress says, "Well?  Decisions decisions, right?  Come on, my dears, say what you'd prefer and Empress can do that for you.

Some people have fainted at lesser offers from Empress.

A complete knock out and also a world famous celebrity (Cha 36), Empress can entrance people without saying a word...

"Take the pilots back and get them charged and processed. Rock and I will stay here and examine this thing for clues. "

"I'll stay too. Just in case you guys need some muscle."

Kraken has no idea who Empress is and doesn't really care.

"Had this robot reached the bottom, an explosion would have been the least of your troubles. You would have awakened something best left to sleep away the centuries."

He tilts his head as his pseudopods slide back into his torso.

"What are you Empress of?"

"Oh, I haven't been a real Empress for many decades. Now it's just my nickname, my superhero moniker, my brand. You know?"

Kraken seemingly doesn't get that, but she continues unconcerned.

"Ok, fine, I can do taxi service.

If you want to be back on land, please step through the tele-portal.  It's actually quite pleasant, don't worry.

Ok, there you go, right through there.  Good job.  Yes, through there to safety. Keep going. Thats it."  She telekinetically pushes any hesitant robot operators thru the portal, and keeps it open to give Agent 9 (and possibly his new friends) a chance to join the group.

She shouts through the shimmering tele-portal.  "Hey Agent 9, got a few more robot operators coming thru!!  There's some stuff going on over here, if you want to join?  Found RockStar, too."

"Leave the robot. Rock Star, Zenith, and I will tow it back towards the coast. If any more of that Apocalypse guy's minions try to retrieve it we'll get them. That'll give us more information."

Empress offers everyone a 'portal back before she also heads back.

"Ok, back to plan A. Or was this plan B?  Not sure.  BORING!

Anyone wants a tele-portal back, go through now and I'll go through last. New heroes, you're invited to come along."

She makes sure everyone who wants to passes through the portal
[ie, TAKE YOUR ACTIONS]
before she levitates through and closes the tele-portal.

He shrugs. He hasn't been to the big city in a long time. He passes through the portal.
