Comments:

We have *some* extra GP (3k, but we need 750 per person for future level ups), if we want to buy anything that DM listed for sale. Potions? No idea what the other items are.  What do the statues do?

The Derfingel bottle of 4 Heroism potion doses is described as fragile - suggest we transfer the 4 doses to separate potion vials and divide among party members who can use it - unless Chester says that will destroy the efficacy of the potions.

The wedding ring story told by Chester matches names from the book title held by the Scales of Justice statue - I think it is worth taking the ring back to the scales and see if it does anything or can convert the temp enchantment of Brant's sword to permanent if the ring and sword are placed on the scales.

Let's take a shovel or two back to the dung to see if anything else is hidden.

Any other thoughts/actions before we return to the statue courtyard?

@DM: are the 11 beetle eggs sellable to an NPA apothecary/alchemist in town as magical components (or do we just throw them away)?

Tegel Village does not have an NPC who would buy the eggs.

The book was not intended to have any connection Chester's tale. It's another allusion to The Trial.

Ok. So the ornamental wedding ring and beetle eggs have no magical or GP value - we can leave with Chester to discard or put in the hotel safe, as appropriate.

If searching the beetle dung with shovels for treasure or trap doors is just a waste of time, we can hand wave that fruitless exercise and just move along to other rooms.

The ring has a connection to the manor.

The wedding ring was for the bride or groom?

It probably should be worn by someone - for good or ill.

It would have been intended for the bride since it has the groom's name inscribed on it.

The Game Map has been updated, courtesy of Cass. It's complete save for a couple of others areas that you have been to (rat tunnels and the SW wing).

Correct.  I wasn’t sure where the 2 SW rooms and rat tunnels fit relative to the main floor map, so did not include them. I can create/recreate them if we need them- although the rat tunnels were a bit “sketchy.”

@Melian: the Rump wedding ring will fit one of us girls.  It could have beneficial effect (protection, etc) or it could make the wearer a higher profile target inside the Manor.  I’ll be happy to wear it until we know its effect, but will defer to your choice if you want to wear it.

@Ornwin: I assumed you have a 17 Constitution since you started with 13 HP at level 1...although I cannot see your character sheet...
