Cass too will remove herself from the room - the golden mold dust creating an obvious and increasingly dangerous hazard to inhabitants in the room.

Seeing the others head out, Brant leaves the locked door be and follows them out of the room.

Deciding it might be wisest to let the yellow dust settle before mucking about further in the Woman in Yellow's room, the guests assemble in the former workroom of the damned seamstress. The rathole within continues to gape invitingly, offering ticket-free admission to any who might fancy the ride.

”I don’t know that crawling into that space would be a terribly safe endeavor,” Rasxif offers, still watching the hole, expecting something horrific to come out of it at any moment.

Ornwin follows the others, still lugging the silver shield. Once they have gathered outside the Yellow Woman Room, he announces, "Since I picked up this silver, I'm happy with what I've already got from that room. I don't see any need to brave the yellow dust to get a chance of something more."

Assuming her coughing had ceased, Archonia was prepared to move on, keeping an eye out for grooming products they might bring to the flaky one.

Brant says to Rasxif: "If you're interested in having a look in that hole, I'll wait for you here. But I'm not sure much good will come of it."

Ornwin sets down the silver shield for the moment and grips his ax, saying, "If you really want to get into that hole, Rasxif, I will guard your back, though I would not go there of my own choice."

“No more rat holes, preferably!” Cass states.

The rat hole, which has never given offense to anyone, almost seems to embiggen its circumference in anticipation of receiving guests, permitting more of the air below to mingle with the air above.

Brant looks skyward for a moment then sighs and shrugs.
"Maybe it wouldn't hurt taking a quick look. After you, Rasxif."

Ornwin, showing more interest in the rathole than he had before, calls out to Raxsif, "Be alert for loot, comrade. I now scent the odor of precious metal in there!" He moves closer to the hole, ready to follow Raxsif and Brant into it.

Archonia was a bit surprised. "I am familiar with the taste, but not the scent." She was not particularly interested, but would go with the others, since her sleep spells might be needed if rats were within.

Rasxif sighs, regarding the rat hole with a look of undisguised hostility. Drawing his blade, he stoops down and enters the cramped tunnel, watchful for movement and listening closely for any noise within the narrow space.

Whoosh! The five divers take the plunge into the rathole and whiz past known ingresses and egresses until they are disgorged one by one onto a bed of matted fur, whiskers, and throw pillows. Like a litter of pups with the embryonic juices still to be licked from their eyes, the guests don't immediately perceive that they don't have the bed to themselves and that its inhabitants have entirely different designs on their eyes. They have the decency to go after the meatiest of the pups.

Overseeing all of the clawing and nibbling is just one more rat, this one about a metric ton heavier than the 16 other rats combined. He reclines on a sumptuously molded throne of silver and gold coins and squeaks in modest anticipation of the entertainment about to play out before him.

I think the mention of Brant in that section is a typo. Ornwin took 8 hits in that section. However, Brant did take 8 hits in the previous section of the post. Note the post is organized by a summary line giving the total hits for each character, followed by a detailed listing of how they got their hits.

(OOC) Brant, Ornwin & Cass each took 8hp damage. I assumed the Ornwin section was just a typo. Cass cast CLW on herself to stay alive for at least 1 more round. The player status report should be up to date.

Ornwin cuts desperately at the Monstrously Huge Giant Rat with his ax, and sinks it deeply into the beast's hairy body. "Revenge of the dwarves!" He snarls.

OOC: Ornwin rolls 14 on 1d20+1 with his axe, which hits the MHGR (thanks to Casandra for AC correction) for 1 8d+1 damage = 8.
