Hi folks!

I understand there's a veteran doctor from the Great War... I'd applied with Dr. Mulherin a retired US Army Cavalry surgeon from the Indian Wars, now a GP. Want to have share a practice in our rural town? (Maybe we're the vets, too, what with horses being so common in both those wars...)

It's free download from Chaosium so no foul against the RPOL rules.

Basically, you have 8 Primary Characteristics:

STR
CON
POW
DEX
APP
SIZ
INT
EDU

Allocate the following values where you like among them:
40
50
50
50
60
60
70
80

A handful of secondary characteristics are extracted from the values you allocate. As character creation systems go it's fairly simple. I joined a RuneQuest game here a couple of months back (for nostalgia's sake) and man that has become a hugely top-heavy system!

I'm playing a political campaign manager for our next great governor, Thomas William Hardwick! [OOC: He won the primary handily and ran unopposed in November 1922, back when the south was a guaranteed Democratic stronghold.]

2d6+6 for Education, Intelligence, and Size
3d6 for  Luck, Power, Appearance, Dexterity, Constitution, and Strength

multiply by 5, everything is percentile now, basically

The GM seems to be running something different from what you posted, has us rolling dice for all stats.

The dice roller can be annoying. Have some decent ones but also a couple of not so decent ones.

I, too, am learning the system.
