They soon arrived at a restaurant.  Well, it wasn't much of one to look at, though-- a little place in a strip mall with what appeared to be cafeteria seating and a counter one, presumably, ordered food at.  But the smells!  They were amazing...

"It does smell good in here," Garnet said.

"Yeah, you can get the good, real stuff here," said John, moving towards the counter.  "What would you like?"

"I'll have a burrito and two pork tacos. I'll have a diet cola to drink," Garnet said.

"What do you want in your burrito?" the worker asked.

"The usual, ground beef, cheese, chilis," Garnet said.

They assembled the food for her.  It indeed smelled excellent, if fiery; it also appeared to be quite large portions.  John, she noted, was also getting a lot of food.  Perhaps werewolves needed it.

She wasn't going to judge, she ate more food than her small frame would indicate.

"Do you like spicy stuff?" John asked.  "They probably didn't go all-in on heat for you."

"It's okay," Garnet said. "I've had much worse when it comes to heat."

"If you like it, let them know and they can crank it up," said John.  "Want to try a little of mine to see what I mean?  It's pretty hot, though.  Don't do that if you don't like it."

Garnet leaned over to try some.
