They were able to get through the line quickly; it wasn't a weekend, so it wasn't too crowded.

"So... popcorn?" John asked.

"Sure, sounds good," Garnet said.

John bought them both popcorn and drinks, and they went into the theater.  It was energetic and full of adrenaline... and John nervously attempted to put his harm around Garnet's shoulders.

Garnet leaned into him and relaxed.

John didn't try much more, besides pulling her closer.  But it was the first date, after all.

That was okay, Garnet just watched the movie.

Eventually it ended.

"What'd you think?" Garnet asked.

"It was fun," said John.  "...especially when I gave up on trying to follow the plot."

"Heh. Any sign of your family in here?" Garnet asked.

John sniffed the air.

"...Two cousins in the front row," he said.  "Why?"

"I was just curious after you mentioned it," Garnet said.

"Honestly, any given night this movie plays, you're probably going to find a few of us here," said John.  "I don't know what it is, but werewolves just can't resist cars.  In my family, anyway."

"I had a lot of fun," Garnet said.

"I did, too," said John.  "We need to do this again, and soon."

"I'd be up for that," Garnet said.

"So, should I walk you home?" John asked.

"Sure!" Garnet said.
