The kiss was certainly going well; John seemed quite open to this...

...the porch light abruptly came on, as Garnet's father opened the door...

Garnet jumped and whirled around with an innocent smile on her face.

"Garnet, what was that... young man trying to do to you?"

Her father tried to look threatening.  As these things went, it wasn't bad, but it was unlikely that he could actually do much to a werewolf.

"It was a good night kiss, dad," Garnet said. "He's my boyfriend."

"And when did that happen?" her father said, suspiciously.  "How long have you been dating him, and without telling me?"

"We just started dating today," Garnet said.

He sighed.

"Honey," he said.  "You have to tell me these things, all right?  I've been worried about you."

"Sorry, it just kind of slipped my mind. I'll try and remember next time," Garnet said.

"Fine, fine," said her father.  "And when will we be meeting properly?  Me and him?"

"You want us to be moving that fast?" Garnet asked.

"I want to meet the young man who's moving this fast with you, yes," her father said.  "You're already moving very quickly with him, and I need to see what he's like before you go any faster."

"Okay, fine," Garnet said with a sigh.

"Don't worry," said her father, ruffling her hair.  "I'm not going to try and run him off or anything.  I just want to meet him, that's all."

"You better not, I like him," Garnet said.

Her father laughed.

"Well, I assumed so, since you were kissing him like that," he said.  "So, what do you know about him?"

"We share some classes. He's from a big family, draws and likes cars," Garnet said.

"I guess that's a start," he said.  "But you know that eventually, he's going to have to meet me."

"I know," Garnet said. "I'll bring him over sometime."

"Good, good," said her father.  "Well, let's get you going on your homework, champ!"

And he took her inside.

Garnet did her homework and headed to bed.

And soon fell asleep, dreaming of a plushy wolf boyfriend.

Garnet awoke in the morning on her hoard, got off and stumbled towards the bathroom to get ready for the day.

Soon she was ready for school...

Garnet made sure she had everything in her backpack and made her lunch before grabbing an apple and heading out. If she saw her dad she'd wish him a good day.

Her father wished her a good day, and she was off to school!
