Rainy, I looked at your char and I would change one spell.

True Strike is the worst cantrip in the game, I would recommend Vicious Mockery, a bard's bread and butter, instead

I 100000% agree with that.

All right we are starting to have a team here!

So we have

Tiefling druid
Custom nature cleric
Half elf bard
Tiefling life cleric
Human barbarian
Dwarf artificer
Dragonborn rogue

Mike will not start for now but may join later, he needs to change his race anyway

And coifrish char is not completed

What I see here is a lot of healing and not a lot of front line power. Unless the clerics go in front? They can be pretty tanky too.

Do you guys want to discuss party composition more or do I start this?

My character will be front line. It looks like the barb is going for a grappling build, not so much tanky. So I might swap back to my original build of a tanky Thunder cleric.

I'm okay with either, but if we really want more frontline, I can change my class. I really don't mind.

We do need a rogue so you can keep your char, mash. Psy and Rai are your coaches that can cover gaps, I want everyone to have fun

While my build has some minor rogish skills in a pinch, a rogue or bard is better suited to such things, so stick with your rogue is my advice. My artificer, though ranged, can go melee as well if need be

Now that I've got an idea of what everyone is playing, I've decided to bring in some arcane support in the form of a Wizard. I might blow some things up later, but starting out I'll be focused more on control and utility spells. So you can consider me a damage dealer, though at the start I won't be doing much damage directly, instead I'll be helping the rest of you deal more damage or do so more effectively.

Lets see what needs to be done to complete the chars we have.

NameClassNotes
AlistairrogueCan't see the char sheet
Brankxartificer
Coifrish??No race, no class, no char!
GenobarbarianNote 1
Lerissaclericequip your equipment, select your cleric spells
MikebarbarianNote 2
RainybardNote 3
Vyn'alwizard
ZucchinidruidNote 4

Note 1 : Consider a review of your feat. Grappler won't be really useful before you get your second attack, and you can grapple without the feat

Note 2 : Aarakocra is not an allowed race, change the race. Did you use the stat point buy? Dex is very important for barbarians, as it determines a lot of their armor class (AC), 5 dex and a -3 modifier won't help you.

Note 3 : Equip your equipment, maybe rearrange your stats to boost Cha? Half elf have a +2 cha bonus, it won't be difficult to raise it to 16, for a +1 bonus to your skill and spell DC. Bring your str to 10 and int to 12 should give you the points you need to raise your CHA to 14+stat bonus, without affecting your other bonus.  Nothing wrong with wanting balanced stats, but your main stat should be your highest.

Note 4 : This character is not done at all, you need to select skills, stats, spell, background and equipment.

For those who are wondering who the level 3 warlock is, that's simply a place holder for me to find the game easily.

Lets get those adjustments made and if you have questions, ask them here so we can answer them!

Now I can see Alistair's sheet, and I'm confused... a rogue with 11 Dex but 16 Cha? I'm curious to hear the reasoning behind that. Are you sure you used all the points in the point buy? Your stats seem low, even a standard array would give better than that.

You also need to equip your equipment.

Lerissa, your stats are also weird, a cleric main stat is Wisdom, not Charisma. It will affect a lot how much you heal.

if going a rogue, best option is Dex.

If you want some real advice on builds, look up dungeon dudes on youtube and select the rogue video. that will give you good start with them and some ideas of plans

In reply to JMash (msg # 16):

I would reduce your strength by 3 points, and your constitution by 1, and increase your Charisma to 15.

If you haven't already, in the edit screen, go to the Home tab and turn on the slider for "Customize Your Origin". Then on the Race tab, above the list of racial abilities, click on "Origin Manager", then check the box next to "Origin Ability Score Increase".

From there, go to the Abilities tab and you'll be able to change the "Origin Ability Score Increase" to set your +2 bonus to your Dexterity instead of your strength. Keep the +1 set to your Charisma. With those changes, you should end up with Dex 17 and Cha 16. Don't worry about your strength, you won't use it as a rogue.

almost there guys.

Just a few things

the druid needs to finish her sheet....haven't even allocated stats yet, spells or anything.

Rainy looks like an all rounder, but maybe change some of her spells. A bard with identify isn't really needed and some of the other bard spells would benefit more

Lerissa - well, her stats need altering to wisdom. A cleric relies on wisdom above all else, with con a close second (Especially if your the healer)

Geno is pretty much done, but the grappler feat - why? Something like great weapon master or polearm would benefit you a lot more

Alistar has altered his stats and looks pretty good now

And Mike.....well, you need to decide if your going to be a dex based fighter (Then maybe look at fighter or ranger instead), or up his strength. Barbarians are about brute force and strength

I would suggest that one of the barbarian switches to fighter or ranger, but I'm ok with 2 barbs if that's what you want to play. I already have to adjust the book planned encounters to a group double the size of the recommended party so adding more to give a challenge to 2 barbs shouldn't be an issue

I see Coifrish did some work on his char sheet, it's a start!

Some comments

- Wisdom is the primary stat for a druid, you should boost that.
- Remove those magic items, you start with the class equipment
- You are still missing your background, that will give you 2 more skills, plus languages and/or tool skills
- Your spell list is not done. Druids can select their leveled spells after a long rest, so don't fret it too much. Cantrips need a little more care in their selection.

As always, ask your questions here, we'll answer!
