"Ken!"  A stern look hardened upon the gnome's face.  One that seemed to drive the drawing of his bow, and through sheer will alone, to conjure the magic arrow that sang across the long makeshift goblin barracks.

"Hang on, Ken.  I think we can fix that."

OoC:
 Target: Goblin that shot Ken.
 Standard action: Attack w/Bow
Move Action: To place for shot if necessary.
 Bonus action: None.

Ken placed between Erky and the room.

If there are no awake gobbos by BEAR's turn, they'll hold an attack for one of the gobbos waking up & attacking.

Re: IC : Chap 1.2 : The Citadel

Erky was protective of his creation and moved to see in the room, where he saw two goblins in the process of drawing another arrow in their bows. Unsure which one had shot Ken, he quickly mentally sang a singsong separating them, something like "Heniminimo" and shot his own arrow on the goblin on the right, killing it (goblin 7 is dead).

As instructed, Ken placed itself between the room and Erky.

Keely had a little pet peeve about being shot in the back and ran in the south central room, where her whirling staff did little more than move the dust around the goblin that was sure to have seen its last second.

Sounds of a creaking door could be heard from the north-eastern room.

Ignored by the warrior woman, goblin 3 still snored contently. (asleep round 2)

Seeing the vulnerability of the sleeping goblin, Meepo felt the racial instinctive urge to use every advantages coming his way and creeping his way in the room, sliced the goblin's throat with his short sword, the greenish blood flowing on the dirty floor. (goblin 3 is dead)

Vyn'al also moved in the room, invoking fire in the north-west room, but the lack of scream told the elven mage that he had missed (goblin saved)

The goblin facing Keely in the room dropped its bow to get its short sword but got tangled up when the bow weirdly rebounded on the ground to impede the creature's unsheathing motion. Keely notices that a living giant rat was strapped, spread-eagle, on a low table in the room, suffering from horrible tumors that look woody and fruit-like. (Goblin 9 rolled a nat 1, is still unarmed until the start of its next turn)

Having easily sidestepped the fire that suddenly sprouted in the room, the goblin left in the north-west room shot another arrow that deflected on the doorframe and went nowhere. (goblin 8 missed)

B.E.A.R had no such precision problems and as it came out of hiding, its arrow split the goblin's head. (goblin 8 is dead)

At the south-west door, Brankx and its goblin adversary continued fanning the other with a magnificent display of how NOT to fight (both miss)

Standing in the doorway, Keely barked a short laugh as the goblin fumbled his weapon.  She waited half a second to see what he was going to do -- retrieve the weapon, retreat, or attack.  Then her bladestaff flashed twice, both ends of the weapon finding their mark.  She noted the rat on the table, but ignored it for now.  She had a plan for it later.

"Where are all these goblins coming from?!?"  The gnome seemed more exasperated than anything else.  "And here I thought it might just be a few rats."

"Follow close."  The gnome forged further into the room, skirting carefully around the melee pitting Dwarf with Goblin.  Faithful Ken followed as commanded.  "What have we gotten ourselves into?" Erky mused as he aimed a casual shot over his shoulder to help out the Dwarf, Brankx.

Vyn ducked his head into the nearby room in search of goblins.

If there's a goblin in that room, then if it's in melee range of me cast Create Bonfire in its space, making it a Dex save. If it's not in melee range, or there isn't a goblin in there, then cast Ray of Frost on one of the other goblins that I can see.

If there are no goblins alive/in-sight by that time, instead move to the next room to the east and do it there. If there are no goblins in either, then the action would instead be to Dash and move to the south-east room and look for goblins there.

Move5 ft east, to see the nearby room

BEAR shakes their head at the outpouring of gobbos. They  wondered very briefly if the little green men couldn't be reasoned with. BEAR decides that in this moment that thought didn't actually matter, and they proceed to chase after any remaining gobbo.

Movement - within range/sight for short bow attacking of a gobbo
Bonus Action - dash or hide (11) if I don't have to dash - never mind, doesn't matter
Action - bow attack on the the closest goblin within range - (13 to hit, 9p)

Re: IC : Chap 1.2 : The Citadel

Erky decided to give a hand, or more an arrow, to Brankx, but the agile goblin dodged the bolt.

The goblin facing Keely did not have time to retrieve any kind of weapon before having just enough time still living to see its arm flying, before being disemboweled by the warrior. (Goblin 9 is dead)

Meepo stood guard, looking for a target.

Vyn'al, after a unfeeling look towards Keely's victim, casted a cold bolt towards the goblin Brankx was facing and it shattered from the cold.

"Keep watch, everyone?" Keely said.  "I have an idea that may help us..."

Kneeling before the table with the giant rat on it, Keely began to chant.

"By earth and tree, by wind and sea,
Grant me voice, O spirits free.
In tongues of beasts, in ancient speech,
Let our souls intertwine and reach."

"Through shadowed glen and verdant glade,
In whispers soft, our bond be made.
With silent paw and soaring wing,
Let a shared awareness winthin us sing."

"By light of moon and stars above,
In darkest hour and by wing of dove.
Grant me kinship, pure and true,
With creatures old and creatures new."

"Well ... That's something you don't see everyday."  Erky's aside was to the dwarf.  "Kind of catchy, though.  Doncha think?"  The gnome's head began to bob to the rhythm.  He made a explosive popping sound by sucking in his cheeks, and opening his mouth after building enough vacuum.  And he repeated this in rhythm while beating upon his own chest at different places to create different timbres.  All in counterpoint to the human woman's chant.

Ken, for his part, held up one injured hand, shaking the loose parts, interjecting an occasional metallic clank.  "Yes, I see that," the gnome replied.  "We'll have to fix that, won't we."

OoC: Now that we're out of combat.
19:01, Sun 11 Feb: Erky Timbers rolled 7 using 2d6 with rolls of 4,3.  Mending on Ken

Re: IC : Chap 1.2 : The Citadel

As the unlikely duo of the elf and the dwarf explored the area, in the central room table they found mashed leaves, fungus, bark, and powdered roots among various mortar and pestles and other alchemical apparatus.  Vyn'al soon started to recognize many common varieties of tree, shrub, and fungus, although all have a pronounced pallor, as if sun-starved. With all the components, the duo found that they had what they needed to create a healer's kit, and the material for both an herbalist kit and alchemist's supplies.  (You can claim those as loot)

The northwest chamber contains sixteen small pallets of matted, flee infested fur on the floor.

In the southwest chamber, they find a crude mashing, straining, and casking facility. In the mashing-tun, partially squashed roots and fungi await completion, and a look at the bodies of the 2 goblins that came from that room show they were bare-footed, probably doing just that. A dirty straining bin stands nearby, as well as ten 2-gallon casks of the end product. But what is it?

The north central chamber seems to be a crude tailor shop, with three half-mended dirty goblin armors. Cord, iron needles, leather patches, and other implements of tailoring can be found here. Stewed around and in bad condition are what is needed for a leatherworker's tool set.

The northeast chamber seems to be an small armory with five battered scimitars, six shortbows, and forty arrows. One door on the eastern wall is opened.

The southeast room stands empty, and the caved-in back wall leads to a natural rift in the earth.

The south central room is where Keely is talking with the diseased rat.
