Vyn'al was careful of his footing but go distracted by an interestingly shaped stone bit and moved his foot a little too much to the right to get a better look, starting a mini-avalanche, the piece of stone sliding down the hole, the wizard just avoiding to follow it. The gasp of surprise from the elf had the Goliath stumble as he was looking back when it happened and he also misstep, his feet falling through what looked liked stable sand, barely managing to stay on the ground surface. Pulling his feet out of the ground, they both saw that the rest of the group had managed the crossing, forcing them to scramble the rest of the way.

The rocky field continued on but with less debris, between two mounds that looked like collapsed walls, the tower and structures a few dozen feet away.
