Re: OOC

@erisen: yep, everyone in the party is at least half human.  The good news is that the enemies only have NPC gear, and they had to pay double for consumables, too.

@Patagogi: good catch.  I missed the displacement right from the start.

Re: OOC

@Erisen: Just realized I forgot to answer your main question.  Since Pan has been shooting freely, I guess I'll have to say that there's a clear path to him, though the tree branches give him cover against anything below him.

Re: OOC

I had a question about the burning entanglement.  Since the tree is in its range does it catch fire as well?

In reply to Patagogi (msg # 1001):

Good question!

Its affected the roots and some lower branches.  But the spell doesn't reach the crown, and it isn't really affecting the trunk.  The tree's not about to collapse or "candle" over the course of the battle.

Re: OOC

@Gorum: Could the tree support a Giant Howler? or a regular one?

Re: OOC

It could, but it would have to follow climbing rules unless it has a climb speed: Flat-footed, has to hold on with 3 out of 4 limbs, DC 15 climb check every time it takes damage.

I thought Audrey started the turn not entangled. Didn't you pass your last roll vs entangle?

I did, but I'm listed as Entangled on the GM Sheet so figured I might have missed something from the NPC's turn.

Re: OOC

Sorry to keep everyone waiting so long.  This time I genuinely have no excuse for it.

Anyways, that's another win for the party!  You're going to stay at level 6, but everyone gets another 3000gp, bringing your total wealth up to 19000 gp total.  In character, I guess the money comes from increased business, since you chased off your main rivals.

I'll get to work on the set-up for the next fight today or tomorrow, but the short version is: you're going on a dragon hunt.

Good job  guys!

It has been most informative to see you all at work.
Do we know which colour this dragon will be?

Re: OOC

I believe green is Acid; so a protection from Energy choice at least for front liners might be good prep.

Edit: I suppose I should ask if we have any casters that have ways to resist or protect energy before I consider buying a wand or an item

Re: OOC

I'll probably prep one communal resist energy with anointing oil for acid resistance 20 for everyone, but the unusual prep situation makes me second-guess buffs.

Re: OOC

GM confirmed I can buy a wand of resist energy made by a ranger; ie a 1st level spell not a second. But honestly if you can hit the party with Resist 20 that would be significantly better then a wand with resist 10.

Re: OOC

If we can prep as much as we like before entering the lair, we can assume the dragon will be able to do the same. They may have Shield, Mirror Image, … so be prepared for that.

Re: OOC

Gorum, would an Aegis of Recovery count as a consumable and therefore 150% list cost? Just asking for a friend...

Also, since I was made a pincushion with Human Bane arrows can I grab some Dragon Bane cartridges. About 267 gp each, with the consumable tax, yes.

Re: OOC

Both are allowed, and both are considered consumables.  But consumables are 200% cost, not 150%.

Also, I'm tweaking the house rule for quick summons a bit.  Now it's basically two connected rules:

-If a summoning spell is altered to take less than a full-round action, the summoned creatures are all staggered for one round, limiting them to one move or standard action.
-Creatures cannot use the pounce ability when staggered or otherwise unable to take a full attack action.
