OOC 2: Gorum's revenge

@Audrey: Glad to have you back!  Absolutely feel free to take over playing Audrey again.  I've only controlled her for one turn so far.

@Delfrydydd: On you post, you mentioned chasing after the dragon, but your action has you barely moving.  At G6, you're out of your musket's range for ignoring armor.  Did you mean to move somewhere else?

@Erisen: The trees are 40' tall, and count as difficult terrain even for flying creatures, preventing them from charging through tree squares.

Whoops.  Wasn't paying attention, accidentally responded AS audrey instead of TO audrey.

In reply to Gorum (msg # 19):

Sorry for the confusion, the notation is hard to read. I'm moving to G,-6 +40 from G,5 +25. That should put me well with in my first range increment.

No, I just missed the negative sign.  I wasn't planning for the fight to go this far off map, but since poor Vercetorix can't make a saving throw, the only other option was having her sit there for 5 rounds and die.

I think we got that part from the sudden change of 'elaborateness'. :D

BTW I'm trying to navigate a large creature through the trees. Are the squares with less than half covered in a tree circle difficult terrain? It's a bit of a tight fit. I'm trying to see if I can move a big boi from Q-R/3-4 to N-O/-(7-6) in 60ft of movement.

@Erisen: Spaces with less than 50% coverage don't count as part of the tree. I think your creature can make that move.

@Patagogi: Yes.  The dragon took it's turn to run away, so it's the party's turn again.  Shapash and Delfrydydd have gone, so we're waiting on you, Audrey, Erisen, and Rik.

Going through the dragon's hoard is an interesting idea, since I did mention that some of her treasure comes from would-be dragonslayers.  What sort of things are you hoping to find?

Acid Resistance Potions and healing potions would make a lot of sense from adventurer's Prepping to fight a Green Dragon.

Personally though I rather figure just messing about with a Dragons Hoard will be the fastest way for them to abandon cowardice and embrace rage.

I can still see the maps, both on my computer and on my phone.  Try clearing your cache
or just refreshing the page (with the refresh button, not just loading it again.)

Chrome casually phasing out all other browsers, one glitchy website at a time…

Also Audrey, wouldn’t you be better suited to wield the Lance?

Nah; Audrey is heavily invested in Improv weapon chain. I was curious so I ran some numbers and...

+1 Dragonbane Lance vs Traveler's Any-Tool (Shovel)
1d20+13/1d8+7 vs 1d20+15/4d6+8

.... honestly the best thing Audrey could use the Lance for would be to treat it like a Disposable Javelin.

Is this including the dragon bane effect?

I take your point though, DnD used to work like that, you’d use the best weapon you could find, but since 3.0 and PF, finding an excellent weapon does nothing for you if you’re in a different build…
Which makes sense I guess!

Yup. It’s 1d20+11/1d8+5 without the bane effect. It would be different if I wasn’t a hyper specialized fighter but yea; it’s a downgrade for me. My nails will deal more damage.

Thanks for looking out though.

Bane also deals 2d6 more damage. Still not better than the shovel.

It's really just that she is specialized in not using weapons. Specific Bane would be better than basically every feat you could have on a fighter for specializing in a weapon. Especially at this level.

I realize I didn't make this clear earlier, so: It's been about three minutes since the fight started, meaning all your round/level spells are ended (most notably haste and spirit share,) but most of your buffs are still active.
