"It is a transition which I have not made yet completely, I was not aware of or better the necessity of transition. I'm feeling a bit like a caterpillar who come to the awareness that he has to turn into a Butterfly. In a certain way walking the pattern was the first step on that journey."

"The point is, I came here with an invitation for an Expo. And I'm at the point that I have to realize that I can not simply return into my old life. Not even during pauses of the duties I'm intended for. And I have to figure out what to do with some persons close to me."

"That is more than I could attempt to answer in the little time we have left in this dance. Perhaps you should make an appointment when you have time and come see me. I don't believe I'm schedule to be away in the near future."

"I will, thank you."

When the dance ends, Cathal makes sure Siobhan safely meets up with her next dance partner before he  goes and pick a new dance partner.

After the next dance he tries to get a short pause and locates Gabriel to have a small talk with him.

It will probably take you 20 to 30 minutes to be able to get a chance where you can get 5 minutes with Gabriel..

One thing you do all notice about this time is that the number of guests in the Ballroom and State room appears to be decreasing, with the primary missing contingent being those of the younger generation (those between the ages of circa 18 and 28), mostly the 'modern' younger generation.

"Hi, we had not time for a talk, and it does no look like we will have much time now. It starts too look like we are becoming the last faithful defenders of the dance floor."

Cathal stops. "I guess they told you about me, about the memories my mother left me."

"Not sure what you mean, the Ball won't wind down till about 1am, the 'Other' party till after 2am, but part of that will depend on who's catching the last busses and who's walking."

"As to yourself no I wasn't aware of that. I know you're from Killarney in Ireland, Mizzurian Earth, that you were raised by your non-biological father, that both of you survived a demon attack in the war, and that you are studing at Cork University."

"Just referring that the younger ones seem to be going somewhere else then the ballroom, never mind."

"Well according to the memories my mother left me, she is from the noble House of the Hendrake and  my biological father was Logan. And that is why I want to talk to you, not just 5 minutes to say hi."

"Argh yes.. I forgot you're new to all this.. the other party is around the pool on the roof, not for the feint hearted or narrow minded, it gets abit rowdy once it gets going properly."

"Hmm yes we should probably talk properly at some point, but given you're a Hendrake I should probably just kill you"
He says the latter with a playful glint in his eyes, and in a jovial tone, then says
"Yes, talking may prove useful, you may be able to fill in a few blanks, but this isn't the time or place. Assuming I'm awake, probably after breakfast tomorrow."

"With the killing part I fear you have to line up behind my Hendrake relatives." Cathal giving back a playful tone.

"I will see if you are awake at breakfast, if not then, after lunch tomorrow. I looking forward to it."

If Cathal looks about at this point, he may, like Rhiannon and Cassandra, notice Natsuki, Kassidy, Jade, Coral, and Kenneth heading out of the Ballroom in the direction of the foyer/stairs.

Cathal decides to stay in the ballroom. He has the feeling that the party on the roof is Charlie's party and he is not in the mood yet for that or drunken enough, maybe after midnight.

After having danced through her list, Rhiannon took a look around the ballroom. The crowd was thinning and a lot of the younger crowd was heading towards the stairs. She heard that there was a pool part on the roof and felt that if other were going she could leave behind her dance card and go also. The formal dance was fun in it's way, but there are only so many merchants and low level nobles she could entertain without her brain blanking.

What she did not know was if there would be swimming. But since she had a room there at the mansion, she could always go back and change if she was overdressed. Following the crowd, she headed to the stairs as well. Though, when she spotted Cathal, she paused to call out

"Cathal, I'm going up to the roof. Are you going?"

If Cathal decided to join, she would wait, otherwise she'd wave and go ahead.

As Rhiannon exits onto the roof, circa 10:30pm there are may be 60 people here already (as noted mostly between the ages of 18 and 28), and a few more on their way up, including the remainder of your PAs, Natalie, Winter, Blake (Edward has been on the roof for a while), and the youngest of the 3 women Rhiannon saw dancing with Cassandra at the Mizzurian ball.

Whilst the majority of those here are in 'modern' attire  10 are in Georgian dress, 7 men and 3 women. The women all appear to be partners of the men.

There are at this point about 10 people in the pool, split 50/50 men and women. 4 of the men are in shorts, whilst one appears to be naked. 3 of the women are in underwear, whilst two are topless.

The bar is fairly busy and there is a 'nightclub' vibe here, right down to the music playing from no apparent sound system above the pool.

Edward, plus a couple of other guys, Caitlin, and 3 other girls are in the hot-tub.

Charlie and her cadre are between the pool and the hot-tub, although Charlie appears to currently be talking to a few of the other guests including one of the gentlemen in Georgian dress and his female companion.

Cathal shakes his head. "I think that will be Charlie's party and I'm not drunken enough  for that."

When Rhiannon stepped out onto the roof veranda, she knew right away that this was much more her kind of party. There was modern music, a busy bar, a pool and a hot tub, and people were having fun socializing. The various states of dress or undress showed that it was relaxed and not uptight.

As always when coming unescorted to these kinds of events, the question was where to start. After scanning the area to place those she knew from the strangers, it became clear that the best place was the bar.

After hours of formality, Rhiannon was ready to let her hair down. One of the fastest ways to bliss while still clothed was a strong drink. A Long Island Ice Tea was what she had in mind, but if they didn't know that song, she would teach it to them.

Drink in hand, Rhiannon needed an ice breaker. Unlike at university, the men here seemed to be a bit too bashful. At least the modern guys were. Those rocking the Georgian chic were much more confident. Not that she was looking to score, but it was nice to flirt.Her failsafe plan was to go wing with one of her cousins who was already engaged. Not Cassandra. She was lovely but the girl on girl thing wasn't for her. Edward in the hot tub was a good choice. He had a good mix with him, so she took off her heels and padded over

"Hello Edward." She leaned on the edge of the hot tub with her elbows as she sipped her drink. She did take the moment to scan his tub mates. Hopefully one or more was the cute fun type. "This looks relaxing. Who are your new friends?"

You're pretty sure Edward is naked, as is Caitlin who is on his right, and the girl on his left, another oriental. Continuing the circle on the Oriental girl's left is another girl, Caucasian, and to her left is another Caucasian guy. Completing the line up on Caucasian guy's left is a girl of Hispanic descent, and lastly another Oriental guy.
The oriental guy is probably also naked, whilst the Caucasian guy is in shorts. The other two girls are in their underwear.



Note: The furniture on the roof has been reorganized for the party. The 3 deck tables that were at the far end of the pool have been removed, primarily to make room for the bar. There are no stools for sitting at the bar. The deck tables have been replace by round tables, 3ft in diameter, each with 4 wooden chairs. There are 15 round tables in total arranged 6 on each side of the pool, and 3 in the area where the deck tables were, between the bar and hot-tub. The loungers have been augmented by the addition of two dozen more loungers, 8 in two groups of 4 in between 2 sets of tables along each side of the pool, and 8 to the area around the hot-tub.

Cathal stays at the Ballroom and State room. He actually enjoy classic dance and continues to dance with the ladies having small talk with them. Despite what he said he does not get drunk.

What is the situation at the Ball room somewhere around midnight.

Overall, about 60% of those present at the start have either departed or amongst the younger contingent have moved upstairs. This is particulalry noticable amongst those in Georgian dress, where probably less than 20% remain (they have mostly departed).
All of the elder and other family members are still present bar Gabriel, Wyatt, and Angel as they will have departed for the roof party.
Amongst your cousins, only Alana and Cormac are present.
There are still a few Twitch Streamers/You-tubers present, very much the older more mature members.
Amongst the 'modern' guest contingent the same is mostly true, although there are a number of younger individuals still present (possibly the 16s or under or the less party inclined individuals).
Neither Gabriella nor May are present (they are both at the roof party...).

Probably worth mentioning, there are a pair of oriental females in a similar style of outfit to what your PAs were wearing when you first arrived, only slightly more 'military' looking, to one side of the exit doors onto the roof. They appear to be ignoring people (for the most past).

"Craic! After whirling for hours, hot water would be grand I think." Some of her native slang crept out from the drink.

After having seen the rather lax dress code, Rhiannon had already expected to lose her dress. Her earlier thought was to run back for a swimming suit, but no one else had and she wasn't going to be the standout dryshite. She had the body, and she was quite proud of it, and her usual swim wear was chosen carefully to get and keep interest. This occasion was different, however. At least half the people in the tub were already naked and the rest almost

Setting her drink aside, Rhiannon reach behind and pulled the zipper on her dress, then shimmied out of it. After folding it quickly, she looked about for a dry place. There were some clothes on a nearby table that weren't completely dry, but it would do. Next came the bra, and then the knickers. It looked liked some of the other women kept theirs, but she didn't quite like the idea of walking about in wet underwear after.

"If ya please.." She climbed in and took whatever space they made for her. She didn't particular care who she was near, but she didn't want to insert herself between any couples. She'd just met these people and it wouldn't do to get right into a cat fight.

"There. Hello everyone. I'm Rhiannon. Pleasure to meet you all." She would grab shake and hands offered. "Sorry if I interrupted. Go on and I'll catch up."

Clothes weren't on the tables.. strewn across a couple of the loungers so for the most part dry.

Like the main pool the hot-tub is sunken, so only has a minimal 'lip' about 4" high and 8" wide surrounding it, mainly as a place to hold drinks and keep the controls mostly out of the way, so you have to step down into it. Its also 15' in diameter (as described in the Mansion thread - Roof sub-section).

You have a few choices as to where you want to slot in, to Caitlin's right, between Jen and Patricia or Patricia and Bill, between Luna and Bai, or to Bai's left. You get the impression that maybe Luna and Bill are in the process of 'pairing off'.

Rhiannon went ahead and sat to Bai's left, putting her ostensibly between Bai and Edward. The tub was big enough so that she had some arm room between them. Maybe a little more as Lina and Bill were a little closer to each other than the others.

"The Seychelles? That sounds exotic. I've never been there myself but I've seen pictures and they're beautiful. I'm sorry Edward, do go on."

As she listened, she held her drink in both hands, sipping from the straw.

Edward will finish reminiscing about a couple of trips to the Seychelles, talking about swimming with turtles, rays, and Angel fish, the beaches, and hot nights on his fathers boat.
After 15 to 20 minutes he'll get out of the tub and head to the bar, to refresh his, Caitlin's, and Jen's drinks.
As time ticks by various others will join the party, including any of the PA's not already present, and the remainder of your compadres except Cathal, Alana, and Cormac. Around 11:30 Gabriel, Angel, Wyatt, and Choi with a partner will also join the party.
By this point there are more people in the pool, and there is a fair traffic between the pool and the surrounds, which generally means that the general level of attire is decreasing. This includes Charlie and her friends, who've all been for a dip in the pool by this point, and are now as a result all naked (Charlie and 2 of her friends were not wearing anything under their high fashion dresses).
The general level of amorousness amongst couples is also increasing in line with the general level of intoxication.

After Edward concluded his tales of Indian Ocean paradise, Rhiannon engaged the others with party small talk. She hadn't been to any exotic places or had vacation adventures, though she tried to make a fun story of her few trips to Cape Cod on the Massachusetts archipelago. Cape Cod didn't have clear waters and tropical fish, but it had it's own kind of beauty with its North Atlantic coast aesthetic and natural seashores. Hopefully some of the others would chime in also and tell their own stories.

Though she stuck to the hot tub for a while, Rhiannon made a few trips back to the bar until she managed a solid buzz. As people came and went, she did eventually jump in the pool and try to engage people there as well. As the party progressed she felt more and more at ease with the general state of nudity and much more intimate vibe. Still she was hoping to meet people willing to stay engaged with her on a more personal level than a group conversation.

At 00:55 there is an interruption to the music both in the Ballroom and on the roof


The Ball will wind down at this point - it's generally scheduled to end at this point, and anybody who was likely to join the party on the roof would have done so by this point.
At 01:55 there is a second interruption to the music on the roof


At about 01:30 those of you not too drunk to notice, will notice an incident between Charlie, the brunette Rhiannon saw Cassandra dancing with, Cassandra, and peripherally Kenneth, mainly on the ground that Kenneth and the girl are moving to leave the party together. Charlie stops what she's doing at that point and makes a deliberate beeline for the pair. Cassandra, who's talking, and has been for a while to a girl of Caucasian descent, will react and rapidly follow. It's a little difficult to 'read' the situation, but it would appear that perhaps Charlie was trying to stop the girl leaving with Kenneth, but Cassandra's intervention, and she appear to question Kenneth, causes Charlie to back-down, and the girl and Kenneth leave together. Charlie and Cassandra then return to their respective partners/activities.

For the most part the 'Roof Top' party will wind down about 02:15. Charlie and all her friends with their partners will retire to their rooms at this point. Blake would have left around 1am, Winter, and Natalie, shortly after, and Natsuki around 01:25. Cassandra leaves shortly after 2am, whilst Edward doesn't leave until the party winds down.

Anybody, wishing to find a casual partner for the night can do so, setting aside your PA's for whom its one of their functions (there has already been a previous discussion ref the fact they're all professional escorts). For the ladies you generally have the choice of one of the younger male You-Tubers (as most of them are unattached), one of the younger gentlemen in Georgian dress (generally one of the few at the roof party), or one of those from the 'modern' town (again generally one of those at the roof party). For the gentlemen you're generally restricted to the younger women from the modern town, unless you picked up one of the younger ladies in Georgian dress in the Ballroom.
The distribution of ethnicity of those from the modern town at the ball is roughly 33% Caucasian (generically white American), 33% Asian (typically Chinese for all intents and purposes), and 33% Hispanic (Mexican/Brazilian/Cuban). Pretty much all of these have grown up here. If they don't themselves work for Mizzurian, then for about 40% of them at least one of their parents does. For the rest some will own and run their own business, some work in the family business, some work for other businesses organizations in town, and a number are waiting to go to University either in the Nisenan Valley Republic, Roanoke, or somewhere else on 'Yellowstone' (it's not too difficult to work out that by 'Yellowstone' they mean Yellowstone Earth or what Cordelia calls True Earth).
Most of them will have visited 'Yellowstone' a few times, and possibly also 'Mizzurian' (Mizzurian Earth). Those who are older and possibly have visited both will remark on how different they are, especially how different 'Sacramento' and the whole surrounding areas are. Other than those going to a University on 'Yellowstone' none will have been outside the Northern Part of California (nominally the Nisenan Valley Republic on Yellowstone Earth), and most of those will have generally been winter skiing in either Heavenly, Kirkwood, or Sierra-at-Tahoe.

Rhiannon did here best to maintain a buzz, but stopped short of getting stupid drunk. It was a bit odd having casual conversations with nide men, while totally nude herself, but the drinks helped considerably. It looked like some of her cousins had found partners to hook up with, but no one made that kind of advance on her and she wasn't so hard up that she was going to be so forward. Getting laid was never the plan, though she was disappointed that none of the guys there even tried. She couldn't wait to get back to Harvard where the guys acted like guys.

With the party breaking up, she went back to the hot tub to collect her clothes, She slipped back on the dress but carried the rest in her arms and went down to her room. It was time for bed
