Since I'm not clairvoyant nor an arbiter of women's fashion you're going to have to just have to go shopping like any normal human would. Natalie stripped except for her sports bra and panties, once in her room, and picked up the VR helmet and gloves from the console. "Time to do a little shopping," she sighed quietly. She wandered the virtual mall trying on outfits.



"Cute but I'd get all the wrong sorts of attention. Hi, I'm Nat. Kneel and lick my boots."  She wrinkled her nose at the next outfit as well.



"Really don't think I want to look like a future fascist, no matter how great it might show off my legs. Or does it say meter-maid more than New Hitler Youth?"



"Hm, this one might get me the wrong sorts of attention too. More gender-neutral, though, except for the boob-friendly plunge."



"Oh, I love the formal lines of the jacket and the fun floofiness of the skirt. Definitely makes my girly side happy."

Cassandra laughed "I suppose that does answer my question, but I wasn't asking for advice I know what I look good in."

She scanned the various shop's names "Besides I'm sure if you put your mind to it Zou Yan you could become a fashionista"

Having chosen a shop to browse, Cassandra began to look through the masses, "Hmmm I'm feeling a blue dress, let go a dark colour..." She spent a few minutes flip-flopping between a couple of dresses before deciding on:



"Yes I like this one the best, it's still me while also being fancy enough"

"Now on to shoes" Eventually Cassandra chose:



"Now I did bring a whole bunch of jewelry with me, so I know I'll have rings and I'm fairly certain I picked up some of my daintier earrings... so bracelets and necklaces" With a nod she swiftly continued her shopping.

In the end, she may have gone a bit overboard, but in her defense, she couldn't decide and all of it was really well made and she appreciates that. So a set of silver wrist cuffs and three necklaces.

It took a little while for Alana to get around to creating her avatar and interacting with the virtual mall.  When she did, she donned the helmet and gloves, indicated a desire to create her avatar and removed her clothing as requested.  She went through the process of feeling herself up with the gloves on and casually wondered what the AI thought about this.

Once completed, she donned her clothing once more and went into the mall in search of appropriate attire for the balls.  She had never really been to a ball before, the closest she had come were school dances and a friend's wedding.  The wedding had not been a posh affair, more of an alternative to sudden violence should the groom 'not do right' by the bride.

Eventually she decided on a dress for the Mizzurian Ball



and a gown for the Carnelian Ball



Both were more formal than she was used to and much longer, although this last fact would allow her to wear flats rather than heels.  Heels were definitely not her forte.  It seemed that several of her, well, cousins, were more into makeup, heels, and dressing up than Alana was.  She could dance, having some natural grace, and even manage passable formal dancing.  But in heels?  No, that would end in a broken ankle.

That just left something for the Expo.  Uggh.  At least there she would not be expected to dance, so she could pull off heels and mostly stay still.  Eventually, Alana found something appropriate, although not the sort of thing she would normally wear.



She was stocked with several days worth of clothes and could either have laundry done or wash things herself in her bathroom.  It was the way things were done when out wild camping.

I will enquire with my assistant Coral, what would be suitable attire for the upcoming event. In addition I will also enquire if a gift is appropriate and any particular ritual or social norms must be observed.

As you explain the reasons behind your questions Coral is both surprised and apologetic..

Coral will disappear at that point and come back 20 minutes later with Taurean. Both have headsets and gloves with them.
They'll get you to put your headset and gloves on and all of you can enter the 'Virtual Mall'. Coral then heads for one of the larger stores that somewhat resembles Harrods.
As you enter the store you hear her say "Menswear". She then heads for the stairs and goes up a floor, then says "Tuxedos", and appear to head 'randomly' across the floor. Arriving in the relavent section she walks past the first section, until Taurean says


at which point the selections on the racks will subtley change to be a perfect fit for you.
She will then select a couple that she thinks are 'most suitable, allowing you to pick the one you prefer.
Having picked a Modern style she'll then move further down the selection racks to an older style something more akin to the mid 1920s, and again pick out 2 or 3 allowing you to chose.


Taurean will then move off through the display racks, eventually selecting a midnight blue round neck silk shirt, and a paisly patteren in gold waist coast (the fronts are patterned the back is plain dark blue, neatly complimenting the shirt). He'll then select a pair of tailored slacks to complete the outfit.

Coral will then ask if there's anything else you want whilst you're here.
The selections will be delived in a week or so 'local' time.

After exiting the Mall and removing your head sets she'll then address your other questions

It's a half question as she looks like she already knows what the answer is going to be, and you're blank looks will confirm her thoughts

Kenneth will enquire with Coral if there is a gun range within the facility and get directions to it. He intends to fire off a few rounds each day to keep his eye in. Better still if they have clay pigeon shooting.

Also what is new on the news channel? What are politics like with in the alliance of communities?

There is no news channel nor are there any radio stations...
As to politics or any neighbouring communities you have no idea..

Having returned to her room Cassandra began to look through her clothes.

"Zou Yan, do you know where the others are currently? And what would be the best way into town?"

"Currently your compatriots are disposed as follows:-

• Mr Camerilli is in the library
• Miss Winter, Miss Horn, and Mr Elgrim are still in the dining room
• Mr Pinmillion, Mr O'Donoghue, and Mr Hemsworth are in their rooms
• Miss Macfarlane and Miss Kerrigan left the estate via the front gates about 13 minutes ago
• and Miss Hashimoto and her dog are currently about three quarters of the way down the front driveway towards the front gates.

As to the best way into town, that depends on which one you wish to visit."

She finished fishing out her clothes and began to change.

"Oh, there is more than one? Ah, that's right I remember now. Hmmm, I think today I'll visit the modern town since I would like to spend an entire day in the other."

"I should also ask, how would I go about spending money in stores Zou Yan?"

Having dressed she began to methodically place her jewelry.

"The easiest way would be to take one of the pool cars and park in the Mizzurian office car park. You can get the keys from Hou-Jin.
Almost all of the businesses in town are linked to Zong Hui so you can just ask for your spend to be debited against the Mizzurian account."

"Alright and if I can't drive?" She asks as she laces her boots almost ready to leave.

<I was tempted to do the "or I could call you a taxi" joke which Zou Yan is fully capable of but chose not to :) >

She moved to the bathroom and applied her eyeliner.

"Your Taxi will be here in about 30 minutes."

"Alright"

Cassandra once ready grabs her bag and heads out. While she waits she contemplates what the rest of the week entails. ' Tomorrow I should practice the Pattern since I'm relaxing today.'

Once the taxi arrived Cassandra hops in and is taken to the Bus/Taxi station. Once out of the vehicle she marks what the area looks like in her mind before heading off to explore or get lost.

Returning to her room after chatting with Cassandra, Alana decides to try out the whole headset thing again and see if she can procure some food, or maybe her personal assistant can do that?  She isn't really sure, never having been much for people waiting on her.

"Zou Yan?  How do I get some food delivered to my room?" she inquires.

"The usual method is to ask. What's your poison, burgers, fries, toast, or would you prefer something else, Noodles, Mandu, Salad or similar."

Apparently, Alana has not figured this out, only ever having used the mall once to get some clothing and never having spoken to Zou Yan other than when setting the thing up.

"Oh, huh, maybe just a sandwich of some kind with meat and cheese, and I guess lettuce and tomato, and a salad would be good with some sort of vinaigrette, and to drink, tea?  That would be great, thank you, Zou Yan," she says.  Removing the helmet once she gets any acknowledgment or after answering any further queries.

She had room service once in the hotel in Paris, that was pretty fancy.  It was a bit pricey though and more than even the nicer restaurant she went to near the catacombs with that fabulous roast beef and, what was it called?  Some kind of chocolate mousse with layers of chocolate that was to die for.

About 25 minutes later there will be a knock on your door, and a maid bearing a tray will enter when acknowledged.
There are 2 6" long sections of baguette, one filled with ham and cheese, the other with lettuce and tomato. There is also a bowl with a side salad of mixed leaves, and a pot of English Breakfast Tea (as you didn't specify what type of tea you wanted).

 After his return to Carnelian, Cathal will spend some time to find out what he can do with this Network.

He asks Zou Yan to set up a discussion group and invites all of his cousins into this group. He also sets up a whiteboard for this group where they can post information.

Cathal also tries to get information about Mizzurian activities on both earth. Some information about the earlier games and why the third game seemed to have failed.

At the top end you have your full 3D virtual meeting room in once of a number of styles from a modern clinical office to your comfy old world hotel style grotto. Full virtual white board, transcription, translation, and recording services are of course available as standard."
After a little discussion with Cathal he says
"Okay I'll set you up a virtual room, with white boards. You can alter the style and decoration as you need, once you've a better idea. I'll notify your compatriots that the facility is available to use."

He asks Zou Yan to verify and if he can give information about the following persons in regard of children or grandchildren of Oberon.
