A thread for people to post in when they're going to be away on holiday or absent for some reason.
Lets the other players know so that if I choose to hold the game for a period people know why.

Might as well make use of this.

Just letting you all know my posting will either stop completely for the next 3 days or be significantly delayed.

Recovering from a bout of COVID, so if my posting was and is a li'l spotty, you all know why.

Managed to catch the latest variant of COVID and am hospitalized for the moment. I expect my posting to be irregular for the next week or so.

I'm still here, I promise.
Apologies for being so silent, work and RL is kicking my butt.

I will attempt to catch up later today, heading out to a meeting with my Boss and a vendor currently.

I am away from the 18th until either the 20th or 21st.. that won't be determined until we see how things go when we're away.. depends on many factors..

My laptop's battery is dying and I may be without a computer until I can replace either battery, charger, or laptop. Shan't know which until I get it to the Apple Store for a check-up.

Okay.. another reason not to buy Apple.. My Acer Laptop which is now 7? years old runs perfectly happily off the mains even with a battery that won't now hold a charge.. the fact that windows update is so crap as to not tell me which driver it hates so I can do something about it and therefore upgrade the version of windows is another matter entirely.

The real lesson to take from this is to get a desktop!

Owned a late 2015 iMac until earlier this year, when a waterpipe in the flat above mine burst. I still shudder when I remember the sound of it shorting out. It woke me from an afternoon nap and I ended up trapped in my bedroom until someone shut both the water and the power off.

Another instance of charging problems. May be a few days before it's fixed.

Computer problem is fixed, won't have time to post today. Will get something up tomorrow afternoon.
