Re: OOC Discussion 1

So did we lose the rest of the cubes?

I'm unsure if having a pending task at the end of the encounter means we automatically succeed at what's left, or automatically fail, or something in between.

Yep we got to round 10. 3 cubes malfunctions and whatever was inside died.

Everyone, I'll update your sheets later.

For level 2:
  • Pick a new special ability
  • Upgrade or become proficient with one skill of your choice

Still need Andre and Ed's choice of new special ability and new skills (or upgrade of existing ability or skill instead if you prefer).

Re: OOC Discussion 1

Double check your sheets for me please.

You should each have:
(5 + level) abilities (-1 per ability that is upgraded to tier 2)
HP max 15 + ((5+Con)*level)
FP max 15 + ((5+Wis)*level)  (-1 per ability you have that is a trait rather than a power)

Re: OOC Discussion 1

I fixed max HP/FP and included notation to skill rolls and such for some skills that I hadn't before because I wasn't sure how it worked, I think I got it now though.

Looks good.

To clarify, when you say the "path is blocked", which path do you mean?  Between Osram and the others?

Re: OOC Discussion 1

Is the acid damaging the floor or are cargo bays coated with linings that expect hazardous spills?

If damage then, probably, an alert or alarm. Though it may take actual venting depending on how things are designed... and possibly more notes for Andre's Dreamship.

Re: OOC Discussion 1

In reply to Andre Klanktonne (msg # 264):

1d6 damage/round doesn't mean much to steel floors with 10+ hardness but to everything and everyone with <6 hardness and/or acid resistance, it's a problem. And it's a puddle to jump over or move around, not like the entire room is filling up with it.

Prolonged exposure to fumes would be a bigger concern but that's an issue for AFTER subduing an immediate threat.

You can legit suffocate if your snoring is so bad that you can't breathe properly. Or someone chokes you in your sleep to silence the snoring. :D

BTW since your character is insisting on taking a nap, he'll be out of roleplay until he wakes up. Just FYI.

Re: OOC Discussion 1

Since the system doesn't use AC, how is passive save DC calculated?  Is it 10+bonus?

I looked in the threads but probably overlooked where that's spelled out.

Re: OOC Discussion 1

In reply to Osram (msg # 272):

Yep 10 + bonus. Most physical attacks are vs. Dex DC but if you do a combat maneuver it's vs. Str DC or Dex DC (whichever is better) and if you use poison its Dex or Con (whichever is better) and if you use mental attacks it's going to be Int, Wis, and/or Cha, whichever is most appropriate.

INT resists confusion
WIS resists illusions/deception
CHA resists enchantment/charm

Unavoidable effects deal 1/2 damage on a miss. "Unavoidable" is a +1 upgrade that can be applied to nearly any attack.

Armor Rating is damage reduction, so heavily armored characters often don't fear half damage since they soak most if not all of it.

Sighing heavily he strolled into the cargo bay. hands in his pockets he got as close to the dog thing as he could and shouted, "Heal! Sit!" To emphasize this he first held up his hand in a "stop" way. Then He pointed down when he said sit.

If you don't mind Ed, Gill is trained in Taming/Animal handling so I used your action as an aid to get advantage.
11:49, Today: Gill Rurry rolled 21 using 1d20+6.  W/ advantage from Ed.

No God-moding Gill. You have to wait on the quarantine procedures like everyone else. You're locked out until the door on the other side is closed by someone and then you have to open the door yourself.

There was a whole big announcement about quarantine procedures in that thread.

She took them into the airlock. Which Skip had to wait to open one side and then the door behind him was closed before you arrived.

The cargo hold has two airlocks that lead into the rest of the ship.

Re: OOC Discussion 1

In reply to Gill Rurry (msg # 277):

You all have short range comms you can use. You can repost since you deleted your previous one and retconned it.

Although trying to calm a creature while you're through a comm system when there's quite bit of distractions between you and it would be DISadvantage, not advantage. Skip made his own separate attempt and Ed wasn't declaring helping someone else.

If anything, it would've been better for you to assist him but oh well. He still did pretty good with a 19.
