Hey folks!

So I plan to close out the Court thread in one week from today. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up so they have time to wrap up any conversations in there before it is closed. There are a number of follow up threads active at this point that take place after the Court scene, so I think folks are not only engaged in other threads as is, but I do want to minimize the chance of timeline weirdness, so the longer I keep that thread open, the higher the risks!

The Haunt tries to make 'friends' and this is rapidly becoming a hostage situation.

OK... it's there.  Happy(-er) camper now...  (We're working this Saturday with more expected soon.  It's just a question of how many six-day work-weeks until after New Years...)

I took an unofficial census of kindred in DC (among the PCs and NPCs). If anyone's curious, here are the breakdowns of clans and covenants:

Clearly the Obfuscate Clans are actually double. Or we should unionize.

Yeah invictus seems to be lacking a Gangrel..... James might need to fix that.....wasn't there a hottie with unaligned in the Gangrel section.......

There are already more than enough Invictus, hush you.

That is a story I would want to hear....sure James might as well.
I actually had been in between Carthians and Invictus when creating the char. The Carthians seemed so much like the Anarchs.... how would one get banned from that?

Tapper needs structure.

In all seriousness the Carthians are entirely customized to their local politics and can look like any government structure they decide. They are unlike Anarchs where they don't always adhere to concepts like Libertas.

Green's been in the D.C. area for the past 10 years as a Kindred. While the exact date is unknown, it is known that he was Embraced around that time.

 yeah James was embraced about 20 years ago and left 7 years ago and just now returned. So I know a few people that were around when James was but not everyone. And I don't wanna run into a situation like "Oh hey new guy what's up?"

Ryoto is known to have ‘arrived’ in DC about 25 years ago.

If you arrived in 1870 you would have lived here longer then the District has been around.

Nathan was born and raised in the District - he left and was Embraced elsewhere and returned in the early 80s. The 1980s.

Hi guys!

I unfortunately have a bit of bad news to share this morning. Angel's player decided to leave the game after some IC animosity started to bleed over into the OOC realm. This serves as a reminder for everyone that we as players ARE NOT necessarily a reflection of the characters that we choose to play, and that IC actions should be looked at through that lens. Unfortunately, this player struggled with this separation and began to antagonize and bully others OOCly, which is something I could not and will not stand for.

I know many of you had made some sort of background connections with the character, so I wanted to make sure I let everyone know about the situation and be as transparent as possible without getting into all the details of what happened--because I don't feel like rehashing all of that with everyone is productive at this point.

I have assumed control of Angel, who will remain as an NPC until the scenes she is in are wrapped up. I have yet to decide what I will do afterwards with Angel, but it is unlikely that she will join a long-term cast of NPCs since I already have plenty to keep me busy on that end.

This also means that with her departure, and that of Alexander Monroe, the Daeva have lost a couple of PCs, and so have the Invictus (much to the joy of the Carthians I'm sure :P) -- but joking aside, I will be looking for 2 new Daeva PCs to join the game. If you know of anyone that might be interested, feel free to let them know that the game is open to new submissions right now, with a high preference for Daeva of course!

Also, thanks to the rest of you for being able to interact with each other in an adult and respectful manner OOC. I am totally fine with IC animosity and insults, but let's keep the petty stuff for our roleplay and between our characters, not each other as players :)

I hear you! I enjoyed reading the portrayal of the character, but could not tolerate the OOC behavior of the player, which escalated in its toxicity overnight, so I had to deal with a lot behind the scenes upon waking up this morning :(
