Voting is done... and yet...
Here's what ended up in the top 4 spots:
The Sandstone Desert
The Amerylith Coast
The Village of Nature's Chessboard
3-way tie, with each getting 8 points... which is fine.
Endless Mines came in fourth, with 7 points... which is Fine.
But there's a three-way tie for those that had 6 points, and one of them is mine.
I was not involved in any sort of tie in Round One, so/and the issue of tie-breaking didn't need to come up.
The rules say:
quote:
IN THE EVENT OF A TIE, the GM will break the tie UNLESS the tie involves himself, in which case what the hell, there'll be a tie, and the tied players will be said to have both achieved victory. This is also true of the final score
So I dunno, I want to tread carefully here.
The way the rules as already written say this gets resolved = what th' hell, we have 7 Places, fine, whatever.
HOWEVER. As I previously stated,
The Amerylith Coast, The Cursed Island, and The Ring of Light all seem to me like they could be folded into one another conceptually (
very easily). (If you don't see how that's possible, let me know and I'll explain.) The Amerylith Coast is already in the top three, and The Cursed Island and The Ring of Light are involved in the tie for 6 points.
SO.
1. I want to make sure no one revolts at letting all three of the places involved in the 6-point-tie in just because one of them is one of mine.
2. If the answer to #1 is "nah it's cool," then discussion needs to happen between the creators of The Amerylith Coast, The Cursed Island, and The Ring of Light now about how cool they are or aren't with the idea of concept combination (NONE of those are mine). (Since I don't want a run-off, I think it's okay for you to reveal your identities as the creators of those Places now).
2a. If all three of those are combined, though, we'll have FIVE Places. Should we, IF that happens, allow in the Place that got 5 points...? Discuss, please. (We're not voting, just discussing.)
1-2c. I just don't want a run-off, is one of the things I'm saying.
(3. Note: I do
NOT want to start discussing "let's talk about where the places are in relation to each other on a conceptual map" yet. I already have certain ideas about that...
BUT let's get all of the above straightened out first.)
