Trimming the Hedges
Lauranthalasa took the vial from Elias and gave him a nod in thanks. Taking two arrows from her quiver, she tied the larger part of her handkerchief around one soaking it with oil then sticking it in the ground so she could reach for it quickly. The other part of the cloth she utilized to fix the vial to the second arrow. Knocking the arrow she drew the string and aimed for a couple of times to get a feel for the added weight and estimated how she needed to adjust the trajectory.
"Can you set this one alight, please?" she asked the half-elf, handing him the first arrow. "I will shoot mine at the ground close to the mother plant. You follow up with the fire arrow right after the vial broke and before the oil has any chance to soak into the soil." she instructed Elias, looking at him to see if he understood what she planned to do.
Once he confirmed the elf plucked the yew and let the arrow fly...
ooc: Sorry for the delay, got caught up with another project.
I understand there will be a penalty for the added weight of the vial, then again I hope the target 'ground' will be easy enough so the plant takes some splashed oil and the fire arrow sets the plant on fire - regardless how little. While it is no actual wildfire I hope the plant doesn't understand that and reacts instinctively.
