"Fine! You can take the beating," the thug says as she turns to square off with Yommah. Charging the gith, the dragonborn raises her axe with the blunt side facing Yommah. Yommah's vision goes white for a second as the weapon strikes the side of her head. Blood wets her face as a gash above her temple is opened up by the impact.

Casually strolling in just in time to see this are Baelen & Zaphkiel. Behind the bar the satyr bartender points to the newcomers, "I got enough trouble as is and don't need more. Get your asses out! Come back later!" Tables and chares are overturned and scatterd about. A couple other patrons work their way around the wall and out the door, a couple yet stay to watch.

Zaphkiel pushes open the door, idly talking to Baelen. He barely has a foot over the threshold when he is accosted by the bartender. Momentarily stunned, he prepares to turn to leave, then notices a badly-bruised Yommah threatening the dragonborn.

Oh! It looks like we have come to the right place. Uh... could you use some abetment, Yommah?

I'm not sure where we are coming in, initiative-wise, or if we can act yet.

Zaphkiel makes a quick assessment of the situation and realizes that with Yommah staggering as she is, she couldn't take much more abuse before passing out. Healing takes courage, he quotes from his book. And we all have courage, even if we have to dig a little to find it.

Magical energy reverberates from his voice and surrounds Yommah, bolstering some of her injuries.

As for you, Zaphkiel snarls as he turns his gaze towards the dragonborn, I'd insult your parents, but I doubt you know them.

Bonus Action: Cast Healing Word on Yommah to heal her for 7 points
Action: Cast Vicious Mockery on thug. DC 13 Wisdom or take 4 damage and next attack has disadvantage.
Move: a few feet to one side or the other so that he's not blocking the doorway

"What in the Nine Hells did we walk into?" The eladrin exclaims, seeing his companion get smacked in the face. He doesn't appreciate seeing friends being attacks, so Baelen quickly whispers a few words to mentally strike the aggressor.

Yommah was at a daze, the hit she took was a heavy one. Enough to knock out anyone, yet she still stood her ground. She got bolstered to keep on going as her comrades arrive,"Hmm, I prefer to fight at an advantage, but it seems you wish to deter me from that. So be it." she says, as she toss her dagger up in the air, however that was a distraction for her to rush to the dragon creature and strike with her rapier, unfortunately the beast was a professional and blocked her blow, yet she used that momentum to twist her body in mid-air to catch her dagger and make a small cut on the dragon. She then turns to the elf,"Long story short, this one wants to find someone or something. She disturbed my peace and so I insulted her. Clearly she did not take that well."

The thug didn't seem to notice Baelen and Zaphkiel enough to allow the magical insult sink in. But she was quickly made aware as Baelen pushes a bit of psychic magic painfully into her head. She winces and turns toward him as she parries Yommah's rapier. She however did not notice the dagger come back to Yommah's hand until it slashed into the dragonborn's hip. The dragonborn turns back with a snarl at Yommah and brings the back of the handaxe back down in the same place on Yommah's head, causing it to whip to the side and driving her to the floor. Leaving the unconscious gith where she lay, the dragonborn thug rushes over to Baelen at the doorway and ignoring Zaphkiel who moved further in and away. She raises the axe again but telegraphs the attack, giving the Baelen just enough time to avoid the blood-soaked weapon.

I'm guessing not, but is it possible to get the thug in a 20ft radius that includes only himself and maybe Yommah? I want to attempt a Sleep spell, but I'm guessing the thug has one of the highest HP here.

I can't be sure, my Eladrin friend, Zaphkiel replies. I like your way with words, though!

He looks around the room, making some mental calculations. He thinks about lulling the thug to sleep with a particularly boring passage from his tome, but he doesn't think he'll be able to do so without taking out several innocent bystanders as well. Instead, he swiftly pulls out a crossbow and levels it at the dragonborn. He takes aim and fires, hitting his foe squarely in the arm.

Whoops, probably should have saved the heal until you were down. I didn't think he'd take you out in one shot!

Bonus: Grant bardic inspiration (1d6) to Baelen (the last one would have worn off by now)

The bolt sinks into the dragonborn's arm, spinning her off balance. Baelen's trio of arcane energy twist through the air, avoiding décor and companions alike. All three simultaneously impact the thug in different parts of her body and driving her to the ground with heavy force. The tavern goes quiet and still as she lay motionless.

Breaking the silence is a loud curse by the satyr bartender. "Shit! Well, that's not good. Now guard's gonna be all about my place, not to mention the Gray Village." He bangs on the door behind the bar, calling Krord to come out. When the bugbear comes out, the satyr nods at the body, "You might want to beat a hasty retreat. Won't be good if they find you here. You all might want to do the same. Don't worry, I still got my principles. I ain't gonna rat you out. And take your friend, he's at least still breathing."

Zaphkiel throws a few gold pieces on the counter. For your troubles, he says to the bartender. He bends down to look at the fallen dragonborn, but it's quickly clear he doesn't know what he's doing. I know a little about a lot of things, but medicine was never one of my strong points... I'll have to study my tome a bit more, but now is not the time. Let's get out of here.

He walks over to help Baelen with Yommah.

My thought is we walk him out and if any guards question us we play it off as if he is drunk. I can heal again, but I might need to hang onto it until we are sure we won't need to use a spell to make a getaway.

07:50, Today: Zaphkiel rolled 7 using 1d20+1.  Medicine.

Unfamiliar with the dragonborn physiology nor general anatomy, Baelen is unable to discern the status of the thug's health. Leaving her for her fate, he and Zaphkiel hoist Yommah's unconscious body up and out of the tavern. You find a quiet place off the road and away from the scene to give Yommah time to come to.

After about 10 to 15 minutes. Yommah begins to stir. A throbbing headache stabs into his mind as his eyes crack open into the light. Thanks to the psionic sensitivity and more accustomed to darkness than light, it's not long before that headache plunges into the depths of a migraine for the gith.

Also, what of that powder I gave you, know of it. I believe the crate in the warehouse to hold something of import, are we planning to make a raid of sorts. I have a crowbar." she says, pulling the item she stole out of her backpack.

Yommah simply says, keeping the strangeness of it to herself for she was too drunk and very much beaten to continue forward. Maybe another time.

Zaphkiel's gaze cautiously follows the path of the guards. I don't think it would be wise to head back to the warehouse at this juncture, seeing as how all three of us are known elements. Besides, he yawns and stretches wide, it's been a long day and I can use some rest. I'd say we head back to Agama and present the evidence we've gathered thus far. We can see what she thinks from there, and go back to the warehouse later if need be.
