Poor guy, the church of the Sovereign Host doesn't officially have a hereafter, so Dakarian has to believe that his gods will give him a long and fruitful life.

You realize that whatever forecast you get becomes inaccurate as soon as you start traveling? Altitude alone is the difference between snow and rain, and distance can turn it all into sunshine.

That's possible, maybe even likely, but sometimes the weather patterns are the same (or very similar) for a large area, like say the mountains in Northern CA between Truckee, CA and Reno, NV, for example.

Besides, people on foot don't quite have the mile (or km) eating pace that vehicles do.

Also, why not attempt to get a daily weather report, if one has the resources to do so?

Oh, and finally, doing so is a part of Dakarian's daily rituals. Morning prayers and the like. :)

Actually, I was saying you should check more often. Daily is useless when traveling. Hourly isn't. And it's a cantrip, so...why not?

And in Southern Oregon, one side of town can make the difference between rain and snow. But that's the Cascades, not the Sierra Nevadas. And altitude here makes a hell of a difference. Even a couple hundred feet.

Oh, I misunderstood completely! Fair enough. Good idea. I'm not sure about hourly, but every two or three hours isn't a bad idea.

Dungeon Master, what do you think? Understanding that Dakarian is doing weather checks on a regular basis throughout the day, say three times a day, would you rather give the results of each casting or give the characters a general idea of changes in upcoming weather conditions when it becomes relevant?

Also, would you want to be informed of any daily routines the characters have, or would you rather have the PCs post their routine actions every day?

I personally prefer a reminder on morning psts.  I don't do well with trying to remember things that aren't super consistent (Thank you ADHD).  If you are going to use Druidcraft every few hours, what would be the main purpose?  It does give you an Average for the next 24 hours worth of weather and studying weather I know it can and does change rapidly depending on the topographical region.

That being said, I can def give you a warning way earlier than someone who doesn't have access to the spell, if the weather gets treacherous for your PCs.
