OOC: So im being pretty lax on when to reset and how to keep VP's. Im doing that to push the story forward. Currently VP's are reset during a scene change. We are in a new scene however the blessing would have been in this new scene. Also when initiative is rolled we will also have to reset VP's, I.E. you can only keep the ones in your personal bank. Which should be maxed at 5 currently.

I'll be glad to recon and check out the smoke.

"Let me land over here in this clearing and then we can check it out." Donavan states

The Captain brings the Zaxxons Revenge down about a mile and a half away from Taryton in a field large enough for the ship. Upon landing he gathers the crew and the party outside the ship.

"Anyone up to assist Kato with recon?" Donavan asks.

John steps forward. "I can assist."

"It's a bunch of kids, no one older than 20. Guessing they live here. Didn't engage them yet. Thought I'd share the info to see what everyone's thought is on best course of action to approach with.

"I don't want innocent children getting caught in the cross fire."

"I can agree with that father. So we have a couple of options. We can pay them to leave. We can force them to leave. We can include them, they probably know this area better than most. Or we can regroup and review other options." John states.

"Perhaps we can serve multiple purposes at once. We could ask them what they know of the area, make sure they know Penelope is here, then pay them to leave and let them get the word on street."

Alina nods at Salos' suggestion. "Agreed. Checking their knowledge of the lay of the land would be useful. Make sure they see Penelope, give them some 'birds and let them spread the word."

"Then who do we want to sent to parlay with them, aside from Penelope." John asks.

"Seeing an Amalthean may be put them at ease and I would like to stay close to Penelope. It would probably be good to have one other."

I'll be glad to parlay with them. Just didn't want to speak for the group until there was a concensus.

"So the three of us, then?"

"Three is probably enough," replies Alina. "Don't want to overwhelm them."

Salos, Kato and Penelope make their way through the undergrowth of the forest. Traveling for about half an hour, making sure to not be too stealthy however not too loud. They hear a voice coming from the forest.

"Stop right there." The voice states, "I dont want to hurt you but I will. Best you turn back now before you run into real trouble."

Salos stops. He says, "I am an Amalthean. If you are from the camp up ahead, we mean you no harm.  My friend would like to parlay for our mutual benefit. I could also offer some medical assistance if any of your people are seriously sick or wounded."

Salos will entreat him to agree to the parlay, if he is from the camp

Kalas follows the group at a distance. Not close enough to risk being spotted, but close enough to rush in should it be needed.

A boy steps out from the undergrowth with a bow pulled and arrow notched. "Amalthean," he states looking over Salos and slowly releases his tension on the bow. "We havent had one here in a long time. I should take you to Adam, he can decide what to do with you. But I warn you, we have hundreds of snipers in the bushes waiting for you to make a false move."

He leads the party towards the village.

Salos replies, "Thank you, we'd like to speak to Adam", deciding not to call him on the obvious lie.

The boy leads the group towards the village. There are several netted areas that make the village look more overgrown than it actually is. This allows for a few areas where it looks like the are making their own cloth and leathers.

The party can see a half build forge and several of the girls that are working on making flour from wheat. Everyone looks at the party with distrust and some awe. Not a single member appears to be over 25 or so.

Eventually you are taking to one of the building where several of the poeple are gathered around a table.

"Adam, I'm sorry to interrupt but I found an Amalthean and they wanted to see you." the boy states.

Adam stands up and clearly everyone gives him the respect of leader even though he himself doesn't appear to be in his late 20's.

"Well then lets have it. Who is this Amalthean and why is he in our town." Adam states.

Kato is casually looking over everyone, counting the number of people, apparent age, possible threat analysis, etc. Keeping his hands away from his weapons, doing his best to appear peaceful.

Salos adopts a respectful stance towards Adam and speaks up, "I am the Amalthean, my name is Salos. My friends and I have need to conduct some business in this town, but we were unaware there were any inhabitants when we chose this location. We come in respect and wish to find arrangements which suit us both. As a gesture of good will and friendship, I offer my services as a healer."

Salos would like to befriend Adam
