Realm: The Unified Efforts of the City Divine
Arriving at the future site of the City of the Gods, one steps out upon a great flat plain of marble. It extends in every direction like a gray sheet of glass. It is not a natural realm born of chaos and emotion, but a realm that had been called into existence with Essence by the will of the god Castago. It had been built with the express purpose of serving as the future divine city. For now it is a very far cry from this ultimate goal. Devoid of any features, it is a literal blank slate waiting to be written upon.
Traits of the City Divine
-None (Yet)
Given the lack of anything, it made the encampment of mortals the only thing to catch ones eye. Large cloth tents offered the only form of shelter against the glow of the yellow sun overhead. Busying themselves amidst these dozens of temporary shelters were two distinct types of mortals. There were stoic figures made up of stone, their steps rasped upon the marble underfoot. Each of them gray, some wore painted blue or red shoulder coverings which seemed to denote them. On their arms were carved numbers. The other group of mortals were quite different. Wearing sweeping robes and walking almost as if they were dancing, these flowing mortals had soft flesh, flowing hair and ready smiles they offered to everyone they came across. These were clearly the mortals of Castago and Nytal.
The two gods were already here and walking amongst the chaos. They were directing the flurry of activity. Castago, clearly the brains behind this grand plan, explained in his terse manner. "We're going to carve out the city. We'll start with the tips of the towers and work down." What he proposed with a monolithic undertaking. An entire city carved out from a single great block of marble. It was a thousand times more work than simply building atop something. Every room, every hall, every antechamber, would have to be carved out, the marble hauled away. It was a task that a thousand generation of mortals could commit themselves to for a thousand years and still have more work to be done.
If this mad vision could be fulfilled this would truly be a city worthy of gods.
