No e,n,r,s,v,z,5,7,8,9,0, but the z and the 5 sometimes work, so I didn't count them as non-functional.
And the shift key for those numbers didn't work either, so no %,&,*,(,).
There are a few others as well, like the tilde, that also don't function.

So any post where I've used these (and e,n,r,s comes up a lot!), I've either used autocorrect, or had to copy and paste the letter in manually. ^_^;

If you think a ghoul attack (or worse) is imminent (as V. rightly did), there are some other spells you might consider preparing. You might also not want your best cleric in the front line.

Summon Swarm was def the right choice.

True! Although while it was anticipated, it was not necessarily anticipated immediately. It is the first ghoul attack we have had, so having the best AC and HP in the front was a fair enough plan for most movement. That said, V did make next level, so while her AC and HP are middle of the pack, she is not likely to die from one hit anymore. So assuming we survive this, perhaps it is time to move her to the front with Fodor and have l'Atreq guard the rear until we leave this tomb tier.




It is one M size creature per level, so it should be enough to also cover the one Orum is planning to backstab.


And just on another note- since there is only one actively fighting right now, it might be more prudent at this moment for the clerics to just attack the ghoul, whether that be melee or magic missile, rather than attempt to turn. A 16 is required for a first level turning, but it takes a cleric only a 12 to hit physically due to the faerie fire. V likely wounded it pretty well, so it probably will not take much to take it down. Tarrahn's insects should continue another round after this yet, so we can then surround and finish that one off as well.

There is a section in OSRIC on undead that all should be current on, especially clerics. There is nothing in it about them not being subject to backstabbery.

Orum is going to start using the Helm when the group is in the presence of the Sisterhood to scrape their surface thoughts, just to ensure that they are not being geared up for sacrifice or sent to the slaughter against overwhelming foes.

I mean, he would never use the Suggestion power to influence the ladies to choose him when the proper season comes.

I believe that was us doing that.

Might I campaign for the ghoul encounter xp as Orum is cusping on a double level up?

If Orum and Víxl chase the rest of us back to the Sisterhood Lair, it might allow us to recover from our fear AND allow Orum to train and study. It’s time for the smallie to get more, more, hmmm, … robust.

Need about 1k xp for a level up but 3k for double (2/2)

Going back is fine with me.
Víxl is about 300xp away from making next level as a mage, so maybe it would benefit her as well as Orum?

I switched Víxl and l’Atreq straight up in the marching order in the Infidels thread. We can change it, but I didn’t see any other option that made more sense ATM - with everyone’s current HP, level, AC, vision, etc.

l'Atreq needs about 2k to go up to fourth level.

The change is fine- it was the same as what my thought was.
l'Atreq would better serve in the second rank, but that would be something for later.
(Loran would be a very good rear guard, but that should wait until she has more hp in case of ambush.)
