Hey everyone! I am beyond excited to get this started. COC 7th edition games are soo rare on this site, that it is a true treasure to get into one.

I'm excited myself! Let me know if you need anything re: finishing characters. Right now, Lauren is done and ready.

Hey everyone! Just a quick update to let you know I'm still alive. I was hoping to get started fairly soon. Anyone need anything before then? Mostly I just need Yua's character sheet.

Hey GM I just finished my character sheet, I wanted to ask only one thing. Since Credit rating is not on the list of investigator skills like it is on an investigator sheet, I didn't put one of my points in it (I used quickfire method). If I misunderstood it I can swap out one of the skills for it, just let me know. Also if I have made any mistakes let me know as well.

In reply to Yua (msg # 10):

You don't need to bother putting points into Credit Rating; it really isn't likely to come up in this particular scenario unless you do something *very* creative, yeah.

If you're finished, send it to me or just post it in your character sheet spot directly. (I made them user editable)

Thanks, everyone! I'll have the first post up today!

We're off! Just a note: feel free to post as often as you want for things like dialogue, questions, etc; even small, mostly performative actions don't need to wait on a response from me. Also, questions about situations or brief actions, eg "I size up the monster" can easily merit a quick response from me that doesn't necessitate the other investigators having their respective "turns," so don't worry about it. You can't overpost me. :)

Are Lauren and Yua in stocks or cages?

Originally stocks, but Lauren can be in a cage; it's probably unimportant as they'll presumably be leaving them soon. I'll just edit the original message to match. :)

Hey the Keeper, does Yua still have the u shaped hair pin that she got abducted with, and if she does, could she try to pick the lock with the Sleight of Hand roll?

By a stroke of luck, she does have it! Go ahead and roll for it.

You can, though it risks breaking components in the lock.

Keeper, if I try picking Lauren's lock with the same tool, does the same roll apply or I roll again since its a different object that I am working on.

It's a slightly different type of lock, so make another roll for it.

Just a quick note: sometimes I'll give your investigators implied actions, like in Lauren's case just now. Since she didn't hear anything at the door, I went ahead and had her look outside it. I won't do that if there's ever any particular downside--It's just meant to save you having to specify the next step. If you had a different plan and weren't going to look outside yet, you can ignore it and go ahead with what you were going to do, armed with this extra knowledge. It's not intended as a railroading device, just a time-saver.

If the other girls agree with the window solution, Lauren is willing to go first, and she will help the girl that will follow.

Just to clarify, you're climbing out along the ledge? Are you heading for other windows or just waiting outside the window? And how are you helping each other?

I would like to go to the other window and take a peek and listen a bit before trying to open it and go in (if everything is clear). Before that, Lauren is going to try and find some kind of grip on the wall with one hand, while she gives the other one to Abigail to help her get on the ledge.
