Kasumi reached in and felt around.

Kasumi finds a small box, that's wrapped in waxed paper.

Kasumi opened it.

The box held some powdery material.

"Ah ha!" Kasumi said.

Ebistu looked stunned "I have no idea how that got there, Legion-Samurai-san," he began "Perhaps one of my crew has kept some on board for personal use."

"Who did that then?" Kasumi asked. "It is a rather secretive place."

"I'm not sure Legion-Samurai-san. But I assure you I will found out and they will be punished" Ebitsu said "But perhaps we should discuss this in my Cabin? I have some very good Sake."

"As you wish," Kasumi said.

Ebitsu led Kasumi to his cabin, it was cramped but well decorated with several items that Kasumi guessed were from the Mantis isles. He produced two cups and a bottle of Sake and poured two measures passing one cup to Kasumi.

"So what is it you want Legion-Samurai-san?" Ebitsu asked his demeanor suddenly shifting and becoming serious.

"The name of the sailor who is responsible for the smuggling if it is truly not you," Kasumi said.

"I did not say they were smuggling, only that is there's for personal use," Ebitsu said "But that being the case I do have a loyalty to my crew. You are not here to just find a simple smuggler I don't think. I'm a merchant I live by give and take. So the question I have is what do you want and what are you willing to pay for it?"

"I am looking for who is behind the smuggling," Kasumi said.

Ebitsu wasn't able to conceal a wince "That information if I knew it would be dangerous to give out and very valuable. So What would you be willing to pay for it?"

"What would you want for it?" Kasumi asked.

"That I and my crew will not be prosecuted over anything that has happened prior, and future employment. A Legion-Samurai like yourself must know many people and can guarantee that I will not improvish myself or my crew." Ebitsu said.

"I would need to talk to my superiors about that. I am interested, but I can't guarantee that myself," Kasumi said.

"I see," Ebitsu said heavily "Then what do you suggest?"

"I can promise to keep your name and crew out of anything, I'll say I got the information from a hemin criminal," Kasumi said.

Ebitsu considers that for a moment and the shrugs "I know when I am beaten, very well Legion-Samurai-san," he said "I was working for Yogo Kageko, her family produces a lot of the medicinal opium, she arranged for some wastage and diverted for other uses," he said.

"Thank you for the information, you are free to go," Kasumi said with a slight bow.

"You helped me so this one is free," Ebitsu said as he rose "There is a warehouse, at the far end of the docks, you might find something of interest there."

"Thank you, you are free to go," Kasmui said.

Ebitsu nods and escorts Kasumi off his ship.

Kasumi heads back to base.
