"Has a date for the wedding been set yet?" Kasumi asked.

"Not quite yet, but I believe that after consulting the temple it should be soon," he said "Likely a few months."

"Ah, I see," Kasumi said.

"We wish to have enough warning, so that you parents may attend," Yuuma said.

"Ah, yes...of course...," Kasumi said.

Yuuma looked at Kasumi for a moment "Would you prefer the date to be sooner?" he asked.

"Yes, but it's not just that...more that, I must admit to being much happier away from them," Kasumi said.

Yuuma looked surprised for a moment then quickly hid it "I see, well... I suppose then we should discuss this at length in the next few days," he said with a small smile "Perhaps I can convince mother to speed up the planning."

"Thank you," Kasumi said.

Yuuma nods "I think tomorrow will be a busy day, so I will let you head off, I still have some paperwork to finish" he explained.

"Have a good night," Kasumi said, bowing slightly to Yuuma before heading to bed.

Kasumi falls asleep and is soon awoken by the dawn of a new day.

Kasumi got ready for the day.

It didn't take Kasumi to long to get ready, around her she could already hear the sounds of the household beginning to wake.

Kasumi headed to the kitchen to find a quick bite to eat.

Kasumi finds the servants working in the kitchen, "Can we help you Kakita-sama?" one asks.

"I was looking for a quick breakfast," Kasumi said.

"Of course, if you take a seat. I'll bring you some rice, grilled fish and some miso soup," the servant says.

"Thank you," Kasumi said as she did so.

The food was soon brought out, along with some tea.

While she was eating Hitomi arrived for breakfast as well "Ah, you are still here I see." she said as she took a seat.

"I was just finishing," Kasumi said. "May you have a good day."

Hitomi sniffs dismissively "Try to not bring any shame upon this family today," she said.

"I won't," Kasumi said.

Hitomi looks somewhat mollified by the response.

Having finished, Kasumi bowed to the old woman and left.
