Season 1 / Arc 2

Episode 3 / Scene 3
Wednesday, 10 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA
For a long minute, the ghost was silent, lost in her thoughts. Trying to convince ghost to let go of their anchors on this world was far from easy, but Connor’s divine nature seemed give him a pull on the dead, or maybe he was just that convincing.

-You are right, Itztli said slowly. The conquistadors are all dead and killing their descendants just for what they are would make me like them.

She closed her eyes.

-I accept your bargain, I will serve you in exchange of a favour.

After that Connor feel her spirit vanish back in the comb and Acatica stumbled back as her sister came to caught her.

-Good work, he heard Galya said.

Now that the comb was in his hands, he needed to deal with Neil Porter.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: For me we can end the episode here, I let you a last post to close it.
Next time I will make my NPC to resist better at social influence.

Season 1 / Arc 2

OOC: She was plenty difficult to convince, lol. The main thing Connor had going for him was his good work at shifting attitude before bore fruit, and to a lesser but important extent teamwork actions from Galya and a few cunning uses of knacks and birthrights. I couldn't have convinced her on 6 dice alone without like an insanely lucky roll otherwise.

But this combination of things is strangely coming together is very much on-spot with the themes of mythology though, I feel. It was an interesting scene.

Connor held the comb thoughtfully in his hands, as presumably Acatia came to her senses.

"Well there you have it. You were possessed by a murderously angry ghost-priestess, but we've come to an understanding and she's under new management. On the flip-side, I need to re-think my actions with the comb for a bit since I'm not too keen on giving it - and her ghost within it - back to Porter since I promised to answer one of her prayers." he said with a "hmmm" sort of expression.

"Oh...actually, I think I've got the perfect idea. And Acatia? You owe your your Sister and to a lesser extent her fiancé your life. If it weren't for her, I was considering slicing you apart top-down to get at the ghost within you. So you had better start kissing their asses as best you can. And don't you EVER betray your family again, got it? Or I'll be back." he said, as his eyes flickered with sinister entropic energy for a moment before returning to normal, as he took his sword and sheathed it.

"I'm outta here, ladies. I've got a call to make, and an antiques dealer to smite. For now, keep quiet about the whole comb thing and about Venegas in general. Because if I can pull off my plan it should restore his good name too. Instead, spend the time puckering up for your sister's ass." he said, as he pocketed the comb within his jacket.

He turned around, and began to walk away. Fluffy, who had been silently - if a bit stoically - watching the whole thing, quietly trotted after him. Galya took that as a queue to disengage from her spot and fall back as well.

OOC: Annnnnnd...Cut! That is my reaction post to end the episode. I've got some preparations to do with you first, before we set up Porter to trake the fall. :)

Episode 4 / Scene 1
Thursday, 11 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA

Even with the comb situation resolved, Connor had still something to do in Chicago, deal with Neil Porter and take back the bone flute.

So the morning after the confrontation with Itztli, the scion was in a hotel room with Galya and the ghost priestess. Maps of Porter’s gallery were on the table before them has them planned their move.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: I let you make your preparatif for dealing with Porter.

Season 1 / Arc 2

After having reconvened at the hotel, Connor and his strange Scooby gang came together to discuss things. Except in this case, Scooby was a hellhound and way more quiet and stoic than the Cartoon character, Daphne was a surprisingly-competent dryad, the Leader Freddie was not an airhead at all, but instead the Prince of Death, and Velma? Well...there was no Velma, because in this case the "Ghost villain of the episode" swapped sides and was now in Velma's place instead.

"Alright...listen. So the crux of my plan to run Porter's reputation through the mud is to use the comb, and plant it somewhere either in his office safe or his home or some such, and then record a grand reveal where I confront him in say his office and challenge him about the comb, accuse him of ruining Venegas' reputation, and then show it to the world. That is, after I conveniently take possession of the flute first." he said.

"However, things have changed a bit now that Itzki is on Team Connor, and I'm not just gonna leave her there with Porter. So I have a couple ideas. But first..." Connor said as he looked at the golden comb, which was now laying on the table nearby the maps and notes. He knew that despite it being a comb just laying there, that the ghost was fully aware of what was happening in the room and could be a participant in the discussion if she wished.

"Yo Itzli? I have a question for you. Are you able to switch fetters from the comb to something else? I realize that you may not normally be able to, but I wonder if my power over Death couldn't make it work somehow? But getting you into something stable that also isn't the comb would be one way to resolve this." he said.

"The other way, if it would take too much time and legendary energy otherwise, is that I know some people who know some people who are in the Chicago area that might be able to help me make a fake duplicate of the comb. Or I have other connections, and maybe I can get some dwarves or maybe some lesser cyclopses or some other crafter types who could do the same. And if you're worried about it not holding up under scrutiny, I plan to use my powers to make the comb age unnaturally so that under professional inspection, it will appear to be a legit comb that's several hundred years old! So no matter how I have the fake made, I'm confident we can get a comb that will appear near identically to the real one." he said, a bit proud of himself for this idea.

"I'd like to hear your and Galya's thoughts on this part of my plan before I continue." he added.

Season 1 / Arc 2

Episode 4 / Scene 1
Thursday, 11 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA

The two women listened to Connor’s plan, obviously thinking about it. Itztli was the first to answer him.

-Changing the anchor of a ghost would be possible for you, she said. But doing so will be straining yourself.

Galya nodded before asking her own question.

-Your plan will deal with Porter, but how we take the flute back? That was our original objective.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: To move the anchor of Itztli would be a Death Esoterica marvel that would cost to spend 1 legend.

Season 1 / Arc 2

Connor nodded.

"Well I want to do some stealth and reconnaissance and sneaking around first. Not only after we study these maps and I get some blueprints and other things, but I want to stalk him for a day or two. I want to disguise myself with my magic and go into the museum during the day as a "normal" citizen customer who is looking around, and check things out that way. But I also want to stalk him a bit too, from the shadows literally if necessary, to get to know his routine and habits." Connor replied.

"Part of this is also me trying to find a good place to place the comb into secretly, before I videotape myself conveniently being a vigilante who breaks in and "discovers it's been hidden all this time" if you will. Ideally...I would like to find either a safe of some sort in his office, or even a locked desk drawer or some other secure but otherwise accessible place, and put the comb into it that way. Or even better yet...sneak into his house or penthouse or wherever else it is he puts his head down at night, and secretly record him finding the comb in a place of his residence. Like in or near his bathroom mirror when he goes to get his toothpaste to brush his teeth, Except I'll have rigged up a hidden camera that secreylt records him doing so." Connor continued.

"Or perhaps if you'd like the more actiony-smiting style of approach, I will simply stash the comb in his safe or desk drawer, and while in disguise I will confront him that I know he secretly framed Venegas in a racist bid to get money from the security agency and a bunch of free security labor in damages at the expense of ruining his career, and tell him I know he has the comb in the safe and force him to go retrieve it while I secretly have a body cam recording the whole thing. I can edit it as needed before releasing it to the media." Connor said, a grin of anticipation crossing his face as his family's natural Egotism began to flicker a bit in his blood.

"But during the reconnaissance parts earlier on, I intend to sneak into the museum area at night time to find and steal the flute. I intend to have the flute long before I initiate the second part of my plan, which is to ruin his reputation and in doing so, punish his family from stealing Theoi relics. Even if in this case, it's a pleasantly peculiar cross-cultural relic...but I have no issue with that. I actually kind of think it's cool how the Flute has that mixed history. So I'll be getting it back for both Greek and Native cultures."

Season 1 / Arc 2

Episode 4 / Scene 1
Thursday, 11 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA

-That seem a good plan, said Iztli. I would prefer you confront that man.

-But that can attract some attention, noted Galya. If we do this discretely, we can send it anonymously to the police and evade all the press around it.

-This would to attract attention on my decedents, acknowledged the ghost. But this would be far more humiliating to trap him before a thousand eyes.

The two women talked for several minutes of the two approach. In the end the direct confrontation would be sure to attract far more attention and let everyone know that Connor was the main instigator. The discrete approach would probably draw less attention and let Connor free of any consequence.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: Stealth and reconaissance would be deal with a complex action of three milestones.
-Find the plans.
-Follow Porter.
-Recon his place.
I let you decide how you approach each milestones, the I give you the roll needed.

Season 1 / Arc 2

Connor considered.

"Actually...attracting attention on your descendants isn't necessarily a bad thing. In this case, it will help the many eyes you mentioned see that some of these relics were culturally misappropriated and sometimes stolen like your comb and our Flute, which would actually help society take a more soft and understanding stance to some Mexican interest groups I feel." he said.

"And gosh do I like the idea of seeing him squirm and his family name be ruined." Connor added, as once again his egotism virtue sizzled a bit in his blodo for a moment.

"But...Galya brings up a valid point too, that too much attention on me may be bad. But Itzli is also right that some attention is good too. So I think I'm going to settle in the middle of both of your stances: I'm going to do some sneaking around first of course, but in the end I'll confront him and force him to open his office safe and find the comb while I record it all on body cam. But I won't have my usual appearance. Instead, I'll make myself look like as generic a Greek man as possible with my powers. That way, people can speculate and I'm sure some people may consider if I have any connection to it, but more will not which I think is a good way to keep the heat off of me while getting eyes on him still."

He then held out the comb.

"That then brings us to our next issue: Getting Itzli out of the comb. As the Prince of Death, I can use my power to shift you into another anchor. That's probably the most practical way to do it. But I want the anchor to be something durable and that you'll also enjoy. But it should be something that both you and I have a shared tie to as well. That will make the change as smooth as possible. And I've got just the thing." he said as he pointed to a bracelet that he was wearing on his left wrist.

"I actually was given this as a small appreciation gift by Venegas before I headed over to the part. Apparently, it was a gift that Huetaca got for him for their 1 year anniversary as a couple. He said that he wanted to give it to me in appreciation for both saving his relationship, but also for me helping him figure out what happened, and that I was going to clear his name. This makes it both something from one of your descendants, and something with a tie to me too. what do you think?"

OOC: So I am thinking the top version where the central Aztec symbol is in silver is what the bracelet normally looks like, but once she inhabits the thing to anyone sensitive to Death and underworld stuff it will look green instead, reflecting that it's inhabited by her.

"We should do a small little prayer of thanks to my mother Persephone, though, as we go this shift-over. That will REALLY make things so smoothly, and help me not deplete my power too much."

OOC: So he will do a Death esoterica marvel like you said, spend a point of legend, and since it's only the first time in an act or whatever the time window was doing this, he can recover the legend with a quick and easy prayer to Persephone or the gods. If I expend legend more rapidly, though, then it takes a dedicated scene or something to so a ceremony or other activity to regain it but the first time per act or whatever it is can be done easily. This is why you may have noticed I've been hesitant to expend legend rather than commit it, but I will if I have to.

Thursday, 11 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA

-Not a bad idea, judged Galya. That destroy him but dodge any unpleasant consequences that can come.

-That fine for me, nodded the ghost. It will humiliate him so I am happy.

With everyone in accord with the plan, they decided to deal with Itztli’s anchor. Connor took the ring and the comb and began a ritual, letting his instinct guide him. He worked until sunset before being rewarded with the black glow around the comb migrating to the ring.

As he let the magic vanish, the glow vanished and he fell in the sofa, feeling completely exhausted.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: And that done, unless you have something to add, we can pass to the preparation of the 'heist' (see my post precedent). The sacrifice can be made in downtime during it.

Season 1 / Arc 2

OOC: Sorry work really wore me out yesterday.

Connor nodded.

"Then that settles it. We'll break this down into two separate operations. The first will be a stealth break-and-enter sort of thing, to do reconnaissance, steal the flute, and then plant the comb. I need to find a way to disable the cameras or ideally, simply trick them so that I don't register but I have some magical options for that if I can't hack them. And hacking isn't my strong suit." he said.

"Then the second operation will be actually confronting Porter in his office while I'm under disguise magic, and forcing him to open his safe and find the comb while I secretly record it all with body cam." he said.

"I will need to do some more preparations first..." he continued.

OOC: Okay bud. I'm going to break down a summary of my preparations here by operation. Feel free to have Galya and/or Itzli chime in too if they think Connor should consider a step I don't mention.

Operation 1: Sneak and Grab, Hack and Implicate

1.) I'd like to try and see if we can get better blueprints than the "standard" ones you awarded him at the start of the scene. Things that really show detail, security points, etc and potentially can help him in rolls to break and enter, etc.

2.) Look up information about his collection to see if anything about the flute is mentioned. It might even reveal where exactly in the gallery/museum that it would be located, which will make it easier to find when he sneaks in.

3.) Physically steal the flute from wherever it's being kept, and replace it with some normal wooden flute thing that looks as close as possible ot the real thing he can buy at a street vendor or craft store or something. He isn't expecting it to fool people for the long-term, but it will be enough to fool casual onlookers enough to at least deal with Porter and get out first.

4.) See if we somehow can hack his camera and security system.

5.) Find his office, and look for a safe. a desk drawer, or something that he can get open and plant the comb in. Also look at his desk and see if there's a security button there, if he can plant something that can temporarily jam it so he cannot call for help easily tomorrow.

Operation 2: The Safe ain't Safe, but the comb sure is!

1.) Go to the Museum with Galya (who will be in a human disguise with her dryad magic), while he and Fluffy are disguises as an every-man Greek guy and a Golden retriever support animal with his disguise magic. Galya will go in separate from him, and is there mostly to be a look out and extra pair of eyes and like she was at the park.

2.) Connor will go to Porter's office, and lock the door, and force the man to look for the comb by calling out the safe/desk drawer/nook on his shelf/whatever that Connor hid it, and record it via body cam. Hopefully, he was able to jam any security call button on the desk the night before as well.

Thursday, 11 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: Okay for Operation 1 we will have an Complexe action.

-Step: Manipulation + Subterfuge difficulty 3 (if you try to procure them from the city hall) or Intelligence + Technology Difficulty 2 (if you hack to find them). You can roll Step 2 even if you fail.

-Step 2: Cunning + Culture difficulty 2 to learn where the flute though newspapers and social media. You can roll step 3 even if you fail.

-Step 3: Cunning + Subterfuge difficulty 5to infiltrate the building and steal the Flute. You have +1e if you have the blueprint, and another +1e if you have the position of the flute. If you fail you stop here and we begin scene 2 as you are found by the guard.

-Step 4: Intelligence + Technology Difficulty 3 to hack the security system. If you fail you still success to escape with the flute but Porter will know something is off.

-Step 5: Cunning + Subterfuge Difficulty 2 to recon Porter office with a 2c to plant the comb. If you fail the roll you are detected, if you succeed but don't buy the complication you fail to plant the comb but manage to escape without being dtected.

Good luck.

Season 1 / Arc 2

OOC: OOPS I checked on this yesterday and thought I posted, lol! My bad. Also, he is casing for whenever it it is relevant.

-Step 1: He will try the city hall route. He fails the roll, so cannot use any of his enhancements sadly. However, he will accept a consolation as normal. :)

00:45, Today: Connor Johnson failed (no successes) using 6d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Manipulation+Subterfuge.

-Step 2: He - with Galya's help - thoroughly scrubs newspaper articles, web articles, social media, etc. 2 Base + 1 casing + 2 Galya = 5 successes! I will spend the overage successes on getting more  detailed information and on getting additional pieces of information, and you can allocate those as you see fit based on what makes sense to you.

00:48, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 2 successes using 5d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Galya Teamwork.
00:48, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 2 successes using 6d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Cunning+Culture.

-Step 3: Connor infiltrates the building, relying on Fluffy immensely to help him keep track of guards and such so he can sneak around them. He had bad roll on 7 dice, but his enhancements from Fluffy's teamwork helped a LOT. Base 1 + 4 enhancement from teamwork +1 more for succeeding in step 2 = 6. I realize I'm pushing the normal 3 enhancement limit, so I'd like to spend the extra success on placating Fate as best I can since Connor will fail his roll without going 1 over the "soft cap" of 3. Ultimately, I propose he will be able to succeed but because he's pushing causality a bit by over-relying on enhancement, it creates a 1 success complication for him later in the final step.

00:52, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 1 success using 7d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s ((6,5,5,3,10(+3),5,7)).

-Step 4: This will be a hard roll. 2 successes base. He is coming along well, but encounters an advanced firewall at the end that is beyond him, so he decides to try and use Entropic Eye (haven't used that in a while lol) to see if his titanic blood can sense weaknesses in the system. He actually rolled great on his knack skill check and banks 3 successes that will last the rest of the scene. He will use one of them immediately, though, to look for the subtle weaknesses in the security system and will act on that information, which will allow him to just barely fully hack the system! Base 1 + 1 entropic eye = 3. Saving the other 2 entropic eye successes for later.

01:03, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 2 successes using 4d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Intelligence+Technology

01:06, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 3 successes using 4d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Destroyer Knack Skill Roll

-Step 5: Connor Recons the office successfully, and makes sure to secure his escape route. However, he is struggling to find a good place to place the comb without triggering the alarm. He finds a locked desk drawer that he cannot quite get open without blowing his cover. So he once again scans the area using his entropic eye, and finds a hidden semi-loose wire under the desk that would have been hard to catch without his supernatural sight. His vision reveals that if he moves and holds the wire against the side of the desk, it will cause the alarm to not activate. He does this, picks the desk lock open, plants the comb, un-picks it so it's locked again, and then moves the security wire back into place, restoring the alarm functionality! Base 1 + 1 entropic eye success = 3.

01:12, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 3 successes using 7d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Cunning+Subterfuge

NOTE: I have a final entropic eye success. I will use it to mitigate whatever complication arose from pushing the enhancement in step 3, and thus "balance the scales with you" by the end of step 5. That also zeros out and expends his entropic eye successes for the rest of the scene, which was damn close since we made it through all 5 steps but there were a few really close calls with good and bad die rolls. Narratively, Connor would have failed if he relied purely on his mortal talents, but his scion blood - interestingly more his titanic side this time around - let him push human limits enough to pull this crazy stunt off! However, there were also some "power of friendship" moments as well that had an impact.

Season 1 / Arc 2

Episode 4 / Scene 1
Thursday, 11 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA

In the end Connor plan was executed without problem.

While they didn’t find the plans of Porter’s collection, the group found the that the Flute was currently exposed on the second floor of the building.

At night Connor and Fluffy entered the building and quietly navigated it, the hellhound giving warning for any approaching guards. By their number, Porter was obviously paying a fortune in security, and if the duo had needed to search for the flute, they would have been caught. But in end Connor snatched the relic without detection even if it was a close call.

With the flute, the scion quietly entered Porter’s office and three minutes later, he was escaping the place without anyone noticing, leaving the comb in a drawer.

Now the group was ready to pass on the next phase, confronting Porter.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]

Season 1 / Arc 2

OOC: I hope you had a good trip. I'm posting since you'll probably be back soon.

For the next phase, in his office, the preparation is as follows:

*Connor will have a hidden body cam on him recording things, which he can edit later as needed.

*Galya will be disguised as a mortal woman like usual of course, but will be somewhere in the museum acting as a normal citizen patron/customer. He's more for lookout and helping Connor get incidental information, but if he needs her to stall people outside the office or do other things spur of the moment, she'll be on site just in case. Similar to like when we were in the park scene.

*Fluffy will be with Connor, and the pair will be disguised as the same duo as they were from the park: the old man with the poodle. But this time, under the disguise magic, the poodle will have a "working dog" vest on and it will look like the old man has a cane and is partially-blind or unstable on his feet, and the dog is helping him move properly.

*Connor is going to maintain his link to the security cams, and will have a button thing on his person he can use to shut them down again if needed. I don't foresee this coming into play, but if things go a weird way and Connor needs to start knocking heads he can cut the security footage at least as a plan C.

His main plan is more straightforward: he is going to just walk into Porter's office, and confront him about the comb and how he got an inside anonymous tip and knows the man hid it in his desk, and that as a concerned citizen believes Port has to be held accountable for his crime of defaming Venegas and swindling the security firm.

Episode 4 / Scene 2
Friday, 12 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA

The following morning, Connor arrived at the gallery. This time he arrived by the front gate like a regular visitor, disguised as an old man.

After paying the entry fee, he entered the gallery proper and noticed the small crowd that was also visiting. Not many people compared to more popular pastime but he could see how the gallery could kept going.

While he attracted one or two glances, no one really gave him any attention. But Connor soon meet his first obstacle, how to access the private area where Porter’s office was located. A single guard was at the door and he suspected that several of them were patrolling the area beyond.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: Two rolls:
-To pass the guarded door you need Dexterity + Subterfuge Difficulty 2, Galya can help.
-To access Porter's office without detection, you need Cunning + Subterfuge Difficulty 2, with a rank 2 complication to evade the cameras (+1e since you have access to camera).

Season 1 / Arc 2

Connor had Galya go up to the guard and start asking him various questions about the gallery. Everything from "oooo what kind of paining is that?" to "oh by the way, where is a bathroom a girl can freshen up?" And with not-obvious amoung of sluttiness, but more subtly alluring like letting the sxteap on one of her shoulder's fall to the side, or leaning in a way that let her cleavage show a bit more, etc. All to really make it more distracting.

00:57, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 2 successes using 5d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Galya Teamwork

00:58, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 2 successes using 9d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Fluffy Primary pool

00:57, Today: Connor Johnson failed (no successes) using 7d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Dex+Subterfuge.

Okay, so doing this weird but it works out in the end. I had her and connor initially do teamwork, and rolled separately for fluffy for whatever the hell reason (most likely cus its 1 am here and I badly need sleep!)...but then realized that makes no sense. So instead, I'd like to have Galya's roll be her own attempt to distract the guard, while Connor with Teamwork from Fluffy made their own attempt to sneak past. The fact that she and Fluffy both got a 2 on their roll makes this easier to justify too.

Basically, Connor fails to be sneaky so Fluffy's service dog routine isn't going to give him enhancement. But Galya was trying to be distracting all on her own and got lucky and got 2 successes. The moral of the story is when in doubt, show a little cleavage. :P

Connor was too distracted worrying about Galya to do a good job worrying about himself, but thankfully he was able to remain more or less int he background because the dryad had done such a good job at attracting attention.

But now...he had to worry about the camera.

He hit a button in his pocket to interfere with the camera for a short moment while he and fluffy suddenly made their way forward to the door, trying to time it so they avoided camera detection all together...

01:06, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 6 successes using 7d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Cunning+Subterfuge.

Wow that was a lucky roll! 6 natural successes on 7 dice. So with the 1 enhancement that's 8. I use 4 to buy off the difficulty and the complication, and I'd like to use the other 4 for a carry-over stunt to help with a future roll he makes while in the office against Porter. But I'm open to other suggestions on ways to use the 2 overage successes.

Season 1 / Arc 2

Episode 4 / Scene 2
Friday, 12 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA

The guard, too busy fawn over the attractive Dryad, missed an old man and his dog slipping past the door.

Having visited the private part of the gallery, Connor knew were to go and a bit of stealth let him evade the guards patrolling here. And in addition, his little hack of the night made him invisible for the security cameras.

The scion arrived without trouble at the door of Porter’s office. It was time for the final act.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: For you two success, maybe to distract the guards that could be coming to Porer's aid or to stop Porter from fleeing. I let you a post on how you approach Porter (break the door, knock...).

Connor doesn't want to draw attention, so he's just going to slip into the office room with Fluffy and close the door behind him.

OOC: That would be a Dexterity+Subterfuge roll difficulty 6 (Porter rolled a 6s on the contest).

OOC: Wait a sec...why the new roll? Was that not what Galya was distracting the guard for (so he could slip inside), or am I missing something?

OOC: Ah, okay. That makes sense now. Thank you, lol!

Old Man Connor opened the door to the office all-so-slowly and silently, and slipped inside. Fluffy tiop-toed after him, like he was Scooby Doo following shaggy. Well not really, but the "poodle" slipped into the door as silent as wind and shadow, before the office door closed after him.

14:52, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 3 successes using 9d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Fluffy Primary pool.

14:52, Today: Connor Johnson rolled 3 successes using 7d10 with the World of Darkness nWoD system with a target of 8, rerolling 10s.  Dex+Subterfuge.

Taking Teamwork enhancement from Fluffy, who works well with Connor as naturally as breathing. They incidentally both got 3's so I barely succeed and buy off the difficulty.

Connor and his faithful shadow entered without a sound in Porter office.

Their target was working at his desk completely focused on a pile of paper. Despite facing the door, he never saw the duo that was now in the same room.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: If you want to make any thing without breaking your stealth, you will need a mixed action.

Season 1 / Arc 2

OOC: I thought about it, and being stealthy has no point right now in the plan. Connor disabled his desk security button, if there was one. The comb has been planted in the safe. The set-up is done, taps, cams, it's all been done. Now, it's time to actually do the plan and confront him!

The old man and the service-poodle shambled forward into the office.

"Mister Porter! I am sorry to disturb you like this, but we need to talk. !" the old man said firmly as he made his way forward into the room.

"I...I know what you did. As a concerned citizen of the greatest generation, I going to have you held accountable to the people. But you cannot conceal it any longer." the old man said.

Season 1 / Arc 2

Episode 4 / Scene 2
Friday, 12 July 2022 / Chicago, Illinois, USA

Porter jumped up in surprise when Connor voice interrupted the silence in his office. His hand shoot toward one of the drawer of his desk, only to freeze when he saw who was talking.

A look of disbelief crossed over his face before he settled in a suspicious frown as he scanned the intruder.

-Who are you? he asked. This is a private area.

[Momentum: 1/4 - Tension: 2/4]
OOC: He try to see beyond your disguise and rolled a 3. You need a Cunning + Subterfuge roll, Difficulty 3 for him to see you as an old man. To make him confess you would need a Encourage Belief that you are harmless (Porter would have +3e to resist if he see throught your disguise o +1e if he don't).
