In reply to Yngvar the Mad (msg # 11):

Stealthy as he believes himself to be, Gremo takes point. Unfortunately, he jingles a bit as he moves with bow drawn and  great sword sheathed.

Barghujin smiles to herself. So much paranoia. Perhaps these people should travel more widely.

She settles herself into a rhythm, about 10ft behind Gremo and 10ft to the right of Silas, Yngvar, and Jonquil. Elihad tags along in his usual place about 10ft behind her.

Scene 25 - Back on the Trail

Silas was happy to hear of values of the scrolls and carefully packed them so he could sell them later, since he couldn't cast such spells either. Then he joined the others in the inn and later on the road north.

"So, Yngvar, could you tell me more about how magic works? I am very new to it all and i didn't have a chance to find a teacher or skilled wizard before..." he starts to chat while they are walking. He was entourned by armed fighters so he wasn't really worried about dangers the road seemingly had.

Scene 25 - Back on the Trail

Yngvar starts to explain magical theory to Silas, general instructions if he could help. It would be nice if they could keep the spells for the future, but they were worth a lot! Besides, how often do you need a polymorph spell, at least he hoped they didn't need them, though they still would make nice additions to their books!

Scene 25 - Back on the Trail

The party reaches a signpost, reading Coppice and pointing further up the road. A bloodstained rag has been wrapped around the post; a symbol of distress.

Eirlys stops and gazes at the ominous symbol a moment before drawing her lower lip between her teeth on an intaken breath.  "This doesn't bode well at all," she says softly, taking her bow out, notching an arrow and looking towards this Coppice.

"Have any of you travelled this way before; or heard rumours for any idea on what would cause the distress?" she adds still soft spoken.

Scene 25 - Back on the Trail

Silas felt uneasy after seeing the signs of struggle along their road. He became quiet and very carefully observing their sorroundings, expecting attack any moment. Not like he could fight but he could at least yell and alarm the fighters in the group of incoming danger. He moved closer to Yngvar and Jonquil. "How guarded was that temple? How many enemies should we expect along the way? And how will we manage to not get lost in labirinth?" He asked worridly still carefully observing the sides of the road.

Scene 25 - Back on the Trail

At the mention of the coppice and its issues, Barghujin draws her bow from her quiver and strings it, transfering it to her left hand. In hr right hand she carries the spear. If she needs to use either she can drop the one she doesn't immediately require.
She partially listens to Jonquil's tale, but primarily she is listening for the absence of natural sound which signifies a presence which is disquietening to the normal order of things, although given the size of the travelling group and the disturbance it exerts, that may be difficult to detect in advance.
