Since the tiger is literally on top of him, yes, a dagge thrust would be a good idea.

Unable to find a good angle to shoot, Wynne drops his bow, instead draws his sword and attacks.

Gremo sinks his dagger to the hilt in the cat’s white underbelly for 5 points of damage.

It seemed like the beast was way more resiliant than they normally are. Silas stood aside at first because they had so many more fit fighters but ir looked like they are not getting situation under control and Gremo was hit. He concentrated and cast a sleep spell on the tiger, in hopes that one well executed hit will then be enough.

Yngvar realizes he needs a staff or a sling for combat, he wasn't going near the tiger with a dagger! The spell wasn't enough!

The Examplar’s mighty blade is slow but certain, severing the spine of the tiger at its neck. The beast goes limp and the knight pushes her off the half-Orc with his boot, then add a final stab to put the beast out of its misery.

Hunting should work for skinning, we just can't tan or cure it right away, that will have to wait for a professional I guess? David?
