Rules

RULES

We may not always like them, but they are always important to the functioning of the game. Especially on a relatively freeform system like this. Although we are a freeform game, I will enforce these rules to keep it fun for everyone.

1.) Follow the RPOL TOS

This is a forum game on RPOL, so we will need to deal with the rules put forth by the mod team and the administration. Which means no adult content, no hatred, no spam, basic things like that. But keep that in mind at all times as we play.

2.) No God Modding

his means no being invincible, no deciding that things automatically hit and be okay with the limits or weaknesses that your character class, (game genre) puts on your character. I know that not all game genres have all those aspects, but for the sake of the game all the ones who got picked did.

3.) No Real Life Franchises Please

I want part of the fun in this game to be creating the fictional video games and pop-culture landscape in general. You can be inspired by real life games but not make your character from a real life game or real life franchise.

4.) Please do not fight OOC in the OOC threads

It is okay to have disagreements with other players. But do not let it degrade into cursing, fighting, passive-aggressive swipes or demanding certain things of each other. Especially do not let it ruin your enjoyment of the game. We are all here to have fun, and if you feel another player is ruining your fun and you cannot deal with them, please PM me and I will decide whatever action I feel is best to keep this game fun for everyone.

5.) Please PM me if you'd like to make your own "video game class"

Before you decide on your own homebrew idea for a class, please PM me with your idea for a game genre with strengths and weaknesses. Do not just make a character sheet with for example, your own idea for a racing sim class or a life-simulator class. I'm interested in your input but I want to have a sense of balance here.

6.) Try to post at least once every 3 days, and at least one paragraph per post. Tell us if you need to be gone long in OOC.

This will likely be a slow-moving game at some point, but I would still like to keep it active. So please let us know if you need to be gone for a long time or just need to not post in this game for a week or so, so we can either write your character out for the moment or take control briefly is your character is absolutely necessary in the scene. Also please post at least a paragraph per-post on average just so we can all have something to react too.

Hope those rules help and hope you have fun in the game!
