The master builder lies in a small cot, breathing shallowly and bleeding through the bandages, especially a nsaty wound in the back of his head. Michal realizes he needs to perform surgery to save the mans life and allow him to recover from his Mortal Wounds. The servants of the manor helps as needed and brings what little there are in ways of healing supplies.

Michal is working frantically to save the Master Builder's life.
He knows that the chances are slim ... nowhere near good.  But he has worked on similar trauma during his time on the battlefield ... and under much worse conditions than this.

Despite his best efforts and the best resources the rich household of Seigneuresse Trencavel can muster Michal sees the lifeblood of the master builder trickle from him and he passes away peacefully, having never recovered conciousness. A servant standing in the corner, silently and laden with bloody rags, gasps as he understands what has happened. "I'll tell the lady," she says and leaves the room.

As she left, he began the regrettable task of cleaning up ... and preparing the body.

After a short while monks from the local abbey arrives and takes over the task of preparing the body for transportation. The lady and her staff will surely want to know what happened to the man.

After ensuring that he'd 'cleaned up after himself' (and, cleaned up himself) while the monks did their own job, Michal headed downstairs ... asking the staff to notify the Lord and Lady of the house that he'd wait patiently in the atrium for and audience with them.
