I'm not because of mobile phones and the massive disconnect between 2020 and the real 2020. Sure if that's what we do it's OK, but I don't want it.

Folks, could we please move discussion on the times to the thread Temporal Settings please.

In the meantime, please don't include dates in your 'manifestoes' because I haven't decided yet which date I'm going to use.

I mean nobody voted it as number one... but everybody voted 5th or better.

Well I am not unhappy with the results. Some of the things I put last are there, but it will be OK with them in play.

Due to the Happenings/Powerful people voted as canon, the possible temporal settings for the game has been reduced to three:  namely 1999, 2016 and 2030.  (1948 is out because George VI was still on the throne, 1977 is out because the IRA were seen as an active threat at that time and 1968 is out because there were no salmon caught in the Thames between 1960 and 1974).

I'm happy with either 1999 or 2016. <tease>The second year is perhaps too crazy to RP through as mind boggling incredulous crazy things took place </tease>. I'm not even slightly comfortable with 2030. I don't think I'd be playing the game if we select that.

I'm fine if we're taking this to 2016 or 1999 as well.

Out of curiosity what sort of characters do people want to play in this?

Mine certainly aren't :) Fae here I come. I have a backstory I want to play out. I've started it a couple of times in games on RPOL but the games have died in the first fight.

Pure human can mean 'Private Investigator' or it could 'Specially trained and equipped super spy' or 'special forces'. Or 'house wife'.

Just FYI the game system we are using does have mechanics to allow house wives and school kids to function along side vampires and the slayer.

... Dang, now I want to play as a housewife just to see what happens.

Did you ever play Feng Shui? There is a character archetype there called the 'Everyman hero' (I think) That's for house husbands

In d20 Horror it's possible to play a child, which makes it all the scarier.  It is of course possible to play a child in this game.

Anyway.  I have received votes from all but one person and already seven candidates have reached 50 points or more.  I've decided that these seven and whichever reach 50 or more once the last person has voted will be included.

Of course, there will be others which I haven't invented yet.

The voting phase is complete.  I'll leave this open for discussions while I write all that I hope will be needed for the game.  Before November comes, I hope to have written this up and opened up the game.  I hope you will all be playing.

I was working on the assumption of three groups of five and I currently have 9 and two more that I'll add when they give me names. As of 8:02 British Summer Time I have room for four more
