Cassus continues to lead the way down the corridor which extends before the trio as they reach the foot of the stairs, with Dalmar treading silently behind and Jantus bringing up the rear. The corridor extends for another thirty meters or so, before opening up into a massive room, the roof of which extends some twenty meters above. The scene before them is one of carnage. Bodies of the more recently deceased aliens are scattered all about. Many of them wear uniforms similar to the one on the stairs, however a nearby corpse is dressed in a dark uniform of black and grey, and in the centre of the room one of the bodies appears to be wearing a uniform that was once white and red. All of the bodies appear to have been slashed and bludgeoned to varying degrees, and their dark blood stains their clothes and the floor about them. In the corner to their right, around forty or so of the more ancient skeletal remains have been aligned in a similar fashion to the ones upstairs.
