Hello!  Let's see, as for character concepts here, I'm thinking a sort of occultist / private investigator from Orrorsh.  I've only played the original Torg previously, but past characters there have included an Investigative Reporter, an Adventuring Archaeologist, and an Elf Mage.  :)

I did use a young Rachel Weisz for the face of my Adventuring Archaeologist, so there's that.  Or maybe a younger Emily Blunt?  I'm not much good with face claims, I admit.

Question: The Axiom increase perk for those from Core Earth - does that apply to all realms for Disonace or just Core Earth Axiom levels?

I have been reading up on the ruleset, character generation and campaign setting.  I was unaware of some of the invading realities and it was quite the interesting read.

My current thoughts are to play a Core man who used to live on the im to  bestreet and in shelters before the invasion.   He'd be skIlled in streetwise and survival.

I envision him to be rugged and rough, like maybe Clint Eastwood in 'A fistfull of dollars.'

I'm thinking an escaped thrall from Tharkold, Awakened and/or Acolyte.

In my mind looks like Skinny Pete from Breaking Bad or Skank from The Crow.

For Axiom Increase, it bumps one of your Character Levels up. I also think I like the house rule I came across.

Axiom Increase :
Improve one of your personal axioms. Leveled perk.

(House Rule: Instead of a flat +1 increase, this perk bumps the axiom up to the "next highest" level, considering all eight main cosms, or +1 once you're at the maximum. In other words, for Core Earth the Magic axiom increases as 9/12/14/16/24/+1, Spirit as 10/16/18/24/+1, and Social and Tech remain +1/perk.)

Thoughts?

Concept-wise, the idea really fits... he's used to the hard life, and with the invasion, he can really fit in about anywhere... I'll see if I can find an Archetype or two that might fit, although always welcome to build your own as it were. :)

Very neat. :) I like as well. :)

For chargen, there's the spend the points and cash your way, and there's also the Archetypes. Right now, I have all the Archetypes for all the realms, so I can find something similar to concepts. I'm going to add a Thread for Character Creation with some of the details to make it easier....

I can't get the character builder you linked to to work, though on the other hand my character will be pretty close to the Victorian Occultist with some investigative skills thrown in, so that template would get me a pretty good start on the character.  :)
