I know, my bad. I've run games myself, both on here and elsewhere in recent years.

I took a step back when the GM was ill and things slowed down, obviously I never noticed the cliff back there...

Think I've only two pages of in-game post to read through now.

Has anyone heard from Star and how he's doing?

Looks like he logged in on the 15th but other than that no clue.

Nah! He just finally got into the PT & OT phase of his hospital internment.  All the crap going on knocked him down so far, physically, that the twice-daily therapy sessions are wiping him out.

But ... you know what they say ... No Pain, No ... agonized screaming for hours on end...

It is with a saddened heart that I inform you all of the passing of Robert Rusk -- better known to many of us as StarMaster.

Rob passed in his sleep on Thursday morning, July 6, 2023, at approximately 10:30am.  He had been hospitalized since early in the year due to complications concerning Cancer & associated surgeries.  He was 73 years old.

Rob was a Comics Fan Boy & fiction writer wannabe his whole life and came to Roleplaying in the Early Days of 1978.  It was my distinct pleasure to have met him, and gamed with him, since that time.

After his Retirement, Rob committed himself to the community he found in RPol, participating in over 20+ games, here.  He was an especial "softie" for GM-adopting abandoned games and working to keep them running, for the enjoyment of the Players.

He will be missed.

Okay so, according to the Cast log, most of us have recently checked this Board.  So I'm just gonna ask straight up...

Is there any interest in continuing with this game?  I would be willing to take on the task--I actually created Drudge to be rather ... Minion-like ^_^  He's friendly, helpful and his personality wants to be Of Service.  I can easily take on the task of GMing and run Drudge as an NPC.

Don't actually have co-GM access to this game of StarMasters.  Yet.

I'm currently going through the process of "adopting" this, and another StarMaster game, with the Admins.  It's my hope, for both games, that I'll just be able to take over this Board without losing access to all its Posts.

So, I'm hoping we won't have to "move", but if we gotta, we gotta.  Work In Progress.

Hmmm...  didn't think they would allow a change of GM, esp. for a game marked as intellectual property...  hope they come through...  I'd hate to start over ..

Turns out I was wrong about my being designated as having GM access, here.  StarMaster must have done it recently and didn't get to tell me before ... well, y'know ...

Just to clarify here: this game is in no immediate danger of being deleted.  We have been aware of StarMaster's passing for some time (there is even a thread in Community Chat on that topic) and, while inactive games are eventually removed from the site, that can take months, or even years.

The game can not be transferred to a new owner since there there is nobody with actual GM access who can take over.  Even if there were, the game has been flagged as "sole ownership", indicating that StarMaster did not want it to be transferred, under any circumstances.

The only option, if you want to continue this game, is to move what information you can to a new board, under a new GM.

Are you just going to create a new game and copy & paste the relevant game information over to the new forum?

Another question: are we going to continue this campaign, or transfer our characters to a new one?
