I understand now.  So the Forgotten will have focused-fire on Menton until he's ashes, then switched to Dr. C.

Not sure how many rounds that takes, if you want to repurpose my rolls it will help resolve things faster, otherwise let me know, and let me know how many rounds there were, and I will make new rolls.

OOC-Just take two attacks on Menton, assuming you got two rounds of actions. Then I will post Menton's actions and then I will post the possible results and we can get the combat back on track. Assuming outside events does not make things change a bit.

Menton's powers seem to extend to some level of TK. While he is unable to move without arms or legs, a field of force covers his remaining torso and head. Thus deflecting the Forgotten's rapid fire blasts.

OOC: 1st burst hits, 2nd burst misses.

11:33, Today: Secret Roll: The Haze rolled 28 using 1d20+11 with rolls of 17.  Menton Toughness save vs heat blast.

Holey Moley is up! Next is both villain's, then onto a new round starting with Forgotten.

The villain was starting to separate under his massive claws. The Forgotten was laying into the Infected. It was time to finish them off. The Weremole gave another big exertion of strength to finally rip the villain to pieces.

OOC: Another DC 25 Toughness check from Dr. Cerebellum at -2 to the roll.

The Doctor's robot body keeps being crushed and mangled, however he does manage to get another headbutt into the Giant Mole, with considerable strength.

Menton's torso and head floats up via an unseen force. There is an unseen force trying to grab the Forgotten and hold him in place.

OOC-11:47, Today: Secret Roll: The Haze rolled 16 using 1d20+8 with rolls of 8.  Dr C toughness save. Another -1 toughness and dazed.

Dr C's action-headbutt.

11:48, Today: Secret Roll: The Haze rolled 17 using 1d20+10 with rolls of 7.  Dr C headbutt on HM.

I believe that is a hit, and HM must make a dc 25 toughness save.

Menton's action is to use TK on the Forgotten. Make a dc 20 dodge save to keep from being grabbed.

Another head butt to the gut made the Weremole grunt in pain. He would surely have several massive bruises when this was all over, but he had to keep pulling until the villain was incapacitated.

11:44, Today: Holey Moley rolled 22 using 1d20+10 with rolls of 12.  Toughness check.

Pulling the guy apart again. DC 25 Toughness check at a -3 penalty

Menton's telekinetic grasp slips aside from the Forgotten, as the scientist is not quite where his foe thought he'd be.

The Forgotten lashes out again at the infect hero with converging lines of flame.  He is a little distracted by the near miss of Menton's powers, and doesn't manage to activate all the beams, but his aim is perfect, fire converging on a weak point in the the telekinetic shield.

21:22, Today: The Forgotten rolled 21 using 1d20+4 with rolls of 17.  Dodge save.

21:25, Today: The Forgotten rolled 25 using 1d20+18 with rolls of 7.  Gauntlet Activation.

21:25, Today: The Forgotten rolled 26 using 1d20+6 with rolls of 20.  Attack on Menton.

Base damage is only 6 out of 10 because of the activation roll; but it's +5 from focusing fire with Multi, and +5 for the crit.

Menton's shield almost holds against the heat blast, but some of the energy manages to get through. Not enough to destroy the thing that had been a hero, but enough to damage it some more. The dead thing's glowing red eyes focus on the forgotten, and then look away. At the wall of all things.

Suddenly, from the monitors and microphones all over the lab, the scene outside changes. The infected that had been attacking the walls have finally pulled down on section of the car barricades. However, on all the monitors Sonar is no where to be seen.

"My lair! My people! What have you done, you fools!" Doctor Cerebellum yells at the two Heroes. Mantis, suddenly having reappeared after going stealth during the combat comes running inside. "They are going to breach the walls! We have to stop them!" She said to Moley and the Forgotten.

OOC: 10:51, Today: The Haze rolled 30 using 1d20+11 with rolls of 19.  Menton Toughness save.

Sorry about Mantis, her player has been MIA for quite some time.

Mantis shakes her head no, and climbs the walls out the hole the sonic villain escaped through. Clearly she hears horrible things going on outside, and quickly goes to assit.

Doctor Cerebellum's body sparks and twists, but is not yet broken. However, he still tries to escape, without success. "Fine, but release me, Beast!" He says.

Menton gets fully blasted through his weakening Force field, causing a scream of inhuman sound of its own. At that point, it decides to fly out the hole Mantis just left.

OOC:
16:22, Today: Secret Roll: The Haze rolled 18 using 1d20+10 with rolls of 8.  Doc C's escape.

The Forgotten allows himself to phase out of sync with the timeline, and everything slows to a standstill.  He heads over to the equipment in the room, and in the space between seconds, takes the time to examine it thoroughly, figure out what it can do, and fully understand it.

Changing power effect to Quickness - one round (six seconds) gives him 30 minutes of subjective time examining the equipment. He will take 10 on the Technology check for a 28, if that's not enough to understand it he will spend his last luck point for a 20 to have a 38.

Edit: Outwardly he blurs rapidly, then vanishes.

In reply to The Forgotten (msg # 139):

After using his technology mastery the Forgotten realizes most of this equipment is to monitor the Mall's security cameras, communications, and improving Sonar's sonic abilities. There seems to be another entire set of devices to keep Menton restrained and disabled. Mostly by damaging the creature's brain with a variety of targeted electric shocks. If the computer files are to be believed, Doctor Cerebellum managed to use the device to force some level of compliance from Menton. However, the precise method seems to be in code-as the Doctor wanted to insure only he would know the method.

The Forgotten stores the files on Menton, along with any other data he can download, on his smartphone - not good for anything anymore except as a portable computer.  Then he makes his way out and up, moving quickly through world of stillness, planning to meet Moley and Mantis back on the surface.

Speed 8 so I think he can get anywhere in a round.

Once reaching the inside of the mall, the scene is chaos. Infected have made it inside, and where fighting with the guards that had remained healthy enough to resist. Mantis is there, fighting alongside the living humans defending their homes. So far her agility and strength have kept her one step ahead of her many foes.

"Help! We need to force them out and reestablish the defenses!"

Sure enough, the 'good' doctor resets his robotic limbs. "You heard her! We have to push them out!" He yells at Moley.

The team manages to force back Menton's horde of infected, and Mantis makes a deal with the survivors of the mall. By bringing the supplies to Thinkmaster, she will instruct Moley to create a small underground town for the community, thus adding to her resources. Also, she would be saving people but only while objecting.

Dr Cerabellum's remaining robot body and active brain is claimed by Thinkmaster, intending to use his science to deal with the infected. However, as Menton has escaped, his ability to control the hordes is very curtailed. Thinkmaster believes there is some possibility to use the tech...and its the only bargaining chip the Doctor has.
