Team Green-Water Slide to hell

Team Green awakens on the beach. The water seems clean and a brilliant blue, the Haze vegetation somehow cleaning the earth of most of mankind's despoiling. Puddle is seemingly like his namesake, and has to reform into a humanoid state before he can start moving on legs. Everyone else feels slightly mentally disoriented, expect for Schism. He feels like his head has been drained of fluid. Only Atheon is not lying down, and is just standing there like a statue until everybody else wakes up.

Roughly 30' from your position is a woman sitting on the beach. She has bright red hair, and is wearing green scale armor made from some form of sea life. She seems to be ignoring all of you, and is tossing rocks into the water to make them skip. They skip a very, very long way.

The women eventually notices the team waking up, and she turns to you. From her few appearances on TV just a few months ago, you easily recognize Merna, wife of the Atlantean and supposed ruler of Atlantis. She was never in the public eye like her husband was, but before she married him she commanded the Atlantis army against the surface world when pollution dumping was poisoning her kingdom. The Justice Brigade intervened, and thanks to diplomacy set up by the Atlantean himself a peace treaty was made. The wedding came months later, although the kingdom of Atlantis itself was never seen by the public.

Now the armored women stares at you. It's clear from her hard expression she has been through much in the last few months. You even see the tell-tale signs of healed burns on her neck and forearms. The signs of infected bites having to be treated with heat in order the stop the plague from spreading.

"Well? Are you going to lie about all day!?" She says, sounding more tired than angry.

Aethon simply tilted his head at the green skinned woman, before walking over to her completely silently. He did not like this messing with his mind. Intellectually, he understood that he could not betray the remnants of humanity if he literally lacked the knowledge to do so. However, it felt like such a violation that all the ninja wanted to do was kill someone.

Good thing this mission was a kill-run.

When he came to a stop in front of the monarch, he gave a bow of respect, and then stood at attention, awaiting orders or further information.

Puddle reformed the muscular green plant body he was using in the conference room "I wasn't really laying down. Just not... being. It is pretty relaxing. Anyway, where are the bad guys?"

He looked around, extending his neck to get a slightly better view.

Team Green-Water Slide to hell

Blinking at the glare as he opens his eyes to find the endless scarlet of the haze tainted clouds whirling overhead, Matthias had a moment to appreciate the stark contrast between sky and sea before his body registered the wrongs done to it.  "Ugh...what the hell did they use this time?"  The psychic moaned, pressing a slightly sandy palm into his eyes to abate the ache behind them that seemed intent on pouring out, possibly alongside his much abused brain.  'We are going to have to figure out a better way to get this done.'  He mused, the new gap in his otherwise flawless memory a nagging reminder of exactly why he felt so wrung out.  Rolling to his side as the soft rustle of others rising reached him, Schism took a steeling little breath and managed to push at least his torso off the ground as he tried to take in more of their surroundings.  Despite his discomfort he could at least appreciate the perfect cerulean expanse of the water stretching to the horizon.  It was one small positive to see that the Haze had dealt with the toxic effects humanity had left on their environment, it was just something of a shame that it had come at so high a cost.  The Atlantean Queen waiting just down the beach was the second notable thing to catch his attention and her call for haste was enough to finally get him off the ground.  "Apologies your majesty, the trip up is disorienting."  He offered, taking a second to try and dust the worst of the sand off himself before heading over.

"Our apologies, your majesty." Alderwood chimed in.

He cast a worried look at Schism, seeing as he seemed a bit worse of than the others. Alderwood then rose to his feet and started beating the dust off of his clothing. He wasn't a huge fan of sand. He took a few moments to scan the area, before returning his gaze to Merna. "It is good to see that you are well, at least. Am I to assume that you are the contact that Thinkmaster spoke of?"

The green woman nodded at Alderwood. She then frowns. "I am no one's majesty." She says in a angry voice, but it was clear it was not directed at Alderwood's and Schism's respect of her office.

"The...thing...that used to be my husband is leading a small army of aquatic infected to the lower section of Canada's coast. I have the means to allow the non aquatic among you to move and exist safely underwater. However, as the magics are temporary I can only insure a few hours of air and environmental safety. I have no idea how long we will have to be down there. I could enchant four shells, one for each of you-but I was told by Thinkmaster it won't be needed for the entire team. The less magics used the better. Which of you is purely air-breathers?" Her hard expression goes from person to person, although she seems to skip over Puddle for obvious reasons.

Puddle shrinks his neck back down to properly talk to the green lady "This body is made of water and plants. I should be OK without a magic sea shell. What exactly does 'aquatic infected' mean. Is this the zombie bodies of Atlanteans, a swarm of zombie piranhas, or like did he dredge up godzilla?"

He sprouts a few extra arms and stretches them out to a few meters long, maybe trying out possible aquatic forms.

In reply to Puddle (msg # 8):

The ex-Queen stares at Puddle, as if trying to translate what he is saying.

"Yes. All of those...things." She says, gesturing at Puddle and nodding yes.

"My apologies, your m-" Alderwood stops himself before finishing the sentance. "My apologies, Merna. I must admit to being 'purely air-breather'. Anything you could do to help me in this expedition would be most helpful."

He casts his gaze out towards the open ocean, frowning. "I could ask the various wildlife in the ocean if they've seen the Atlantean.." he conciously refrain from calling him 'your husband'. "..but I wonder if that is wise. Do you think the Atlantean pick up on that, and warn him of our arrival?"
