The five-story building stands towards the outer portion of the city. Its buildings are not impressive, favoring simple construction of concrete and brick. The entrance produces a consistent stream of visitors, patients, and doctors coming in and going out. Ambulances sit idle in the ER bay.

The interior is well furnished, presenting a welcoming common area. The upper floors are connected by glass walkways that overlay the area.

Jeanne limped her way through the E.R door of the hospital the burns on her arms and stomach still burning with pain. “I need help!” She yelled to anyone who would listen. Her body wracked with pain and her mind racing, she could feel the adrenaline pumping through her veins but it was fading fast now and with it the pain was getting worse.

The lobby is busy this time of day and the introduction of a distressed, injured person quickly turns into a panic. Patients and their families waiting look on distressed at the situation. Doctors and nurses rush out to see what's going on. Seeing Jeanne's condition, they rush to get her onto a rolling gurney.

Finally laying down she was beginning to truly feel how badly she was injured, “FUUUUCKIN HELL!!!” She yelled in pain shadows of the room pulling towards her. “Some asshole is attacking the university with fire, you better prepare for influx of burn patients”

As she is rushed down the hall the staff seem too focused on the burns to pay much attention to what Jeanne said. One doctor bends her head down so Jeanne can hear her, "how did you get here all the way from the university with burns like this?"

“I walked” she said plainly “I had little options but trust me it was not a pleasant walk.”

She gives Jeanne a strange look and stands back straight to confer with the doctors and nurses. They continue pushing the gurney down the hall until Jeanne suddenly feels a prick in her arm. Looking over the same doctor has drawn a small amount of her blood. She speaks loud enough to be heard over the noise, "she's stable, I'll take her down to the ward." As the gurney turns down another hall the rest of the staff split off to deal with more urgent matters, leaving only the doctor who spoke.

“No I have no plans to stay!” She said with a note of aggravation “Just give me something for the pain, and something to take care of the burns and I will be on my way.” as the nurse walked past her Jeanne stood up bumping into her, she clenched but lifted the vial of blood from the nurse.

Jeanne filches the vial seemingly unnoticed before being gently pushed back down to the bed, "try not to move too much, we need to treat these burns." The doctor pushes her into a patient room, shutting the door behind her. "I understand you think that you'll be fine, but you're not invincible. Will you let me treat you?"

“I know I’m not invincible.” She looked down at the burns on her arms “just fix me, but you don’t do anything without my express consent.” She said turning her eyes on the doctor “is that understood?”

The doctor holds Jeanne's eyes, cautiously raising her hands, "I'm not going to do anything you don't want me to, ok? But you need to rest and recover, I can enhance the speed with which you do so if you'll just let me."

Jeanne held the doctors eyes for a moment before letting out a sight and giving a nod of approval, the tension in her shoulders relaxing a bit. She hated hospitals, she appreciated the work they did, but every test and blood sample was a identifier, something the police could use and in Jeanne’s line of work that was a risk she did not like taking. However, as she was right now she had no choice. “Fine do what you have to.”

Still watching Jeanne, the doctor gathers a number of syringes from a nearby table. "Now understand, what I'm going to give you will not just be normal antibiotics or painkillers." She puts on rubber gloves, "this is going to work rapidly, but it may be extremely painful."

Her eyes glanced the needles then returned to the doctor, before giving a nod of approval. Jeanne took a breath “I’m ready”

As the plunger on the syringe is pressed and the concoction enters Jeanne's bloodstream a warm sensation fills first her arm and then the rest of her body. As it spreads her skin feels as if it is contracting over her muscles. The warmth is soon forgotten as she feels as if she were made of tearing paper. The dead tissue from her burns rips as new skin fills in as a replacement. The shadows in the room seem to flare to life as the pain overwhelms Jeanne's senses.
The doctor glances at the shadows, the fear one would expect to see replaced instead by curiosity and perhaps something less apparent[you can roll an intellect task at level 3(dc 9) to observe her modified by any relevant social skills]. She quickly injects the second of the needles, slowly providing a soothing sensation to replace the pain. After a few minutes that felt stretched to the point of bursting, Jeanne is able to relax down on the hospital gurney once again. The new skin having replaced the burns the doctor watches on with a level of fascination that is almost threatening. All damage has been healed.

The pain was unlike anything she had ever felt before, she did her best hold in her screams of pain, but that was a fight she quickly lost. She felt as though she was being skinned alive and her control over her abilities were slipping, the shadows in the room elongated and the lights began to darken as if the light they were putting off was being consumed by the dark voids stretching towards Jeanne. She opened her eyes expecting to see the doctor cowering away from her, but instead she saw intrigue. Jeanne locked eyes with the doctor for a brief moment before her vision began to blur. In this moment time felt suspended but before too long she came back to reality and her wounds were completely healed with no evidence they were ever there to begin with. “What the hell we that doctor?” She said both confused and relieved that it was over, as she ran her hand over the fresh new skin.

Finally, the doctor turned away and began to pack away her supplies, "it was just something special I cooked up for an occasion like this."She sighs as she sets everything aside, "I am curious why you cam here instead of do a specialist. I'm sure you're not a Warden but surely you have someone who you go to for this." She turns around to face you, looking over the freshly regrown skin with satisfaction.

“Believe it or not, I don’t make a habit out of getting gravely injured. Today was something completely unexpected. But you are correct I am no Warden, and I would appreciate it if you forgot I was ever even here. As I’m sure more burn patients, will be flooding In shortly, due to the villain at the college, and the wardens will be all over that once the cameras arrive.” Jeanne sat up from the bed and stood “You know doctor if you’re interested I wouldn’t be apposed to letting you treat me privately. All I would require is your absolute discretion, and more concoctions like that although less painful ones would be preferred. I can pay very well, but the decision is yours.”
