The sprawling campus of the university is made up of well-constructed lecture halls and verdant courtyards. Students walk along the concrete paths between buildings, enjoying the perfect day. The administration building sits like a castle in the center of campus. A large bee statue labeled "Beau" stands as a tribute to the school's beloved mascot. Student housing dots the outer edge consisting of antique stone buildings that are home to hundreds of students.

Bounding from rooftop to rooftop was one of such great freedoms Walkman allowed him after he bonded to Jaylen. It was always nice to feel that wind through his ebony hair and ever so majestic just leaping over the buildings like a graceful grasshopper.

-you know this does not feel very 'sneaky' as you put it. and it puts odd variables to my equation for success of getting in without being spotted-

"Oh please no one should be up here right now plus you love hopping around with me; just so liberating isn't it?"

At that declaration Jaylen nearly mucked up a landing and twisted to see who it was.

"What the? It's just some chick? They don't look like some kind of 'evildoer'maybe it's nothing"

-hmm not sure. confront them they might be planning something. we can make this quick and get back to our 'sneaking'-

"If this is like another of your 'hunches' this won't be a fun experience, but ugh fine and to think I could get away from having anyone see me. Time to suit up, buddy"

Jaylen boundes towards the rooftop the mystery woman stood and mid jump his body was completely enveloped in a sleek and sinuise morph suit. The armor jutting small red spikes from several joints on the body and upon the morph forming over his head Jaylen landed striking a heroic pose.

Jeanne quickly turned when she heard landing on the roof behind her; seeing the man in the odd suit Jeanne rolled her eyes “Oh great, some person in edgy pajamas.” She thought rolling her eyes. Not wanting whoever this was to see her face she quickly pulled her hood up and darkened the shade it casted too conceal her face. “Who are?” She sakes her voice calm and cold.

Who the hell says “Hark” is this guy from a Renaissance festival” Jean thought as she slowly moved toward the individual. “What you think a little thing like me is up to something “nefarious” she said mockingly “and what if I were would you be here to stop me… Hero?” She slowly circled him at distance “Besides little hero do we’re you even given authority by the school or the hero’s commission to work on these grounds?” As she moved around him she was ready to make a run for it needed, this school provided perfect terrain for her free running skills and if things got to complicated she was always prepared to vanish with the shadows.

At that assumption Jaylen seemed to lower their guard a microscopic amount.

"Maybe we can just talk this out. Whomever this is they don't really seem to be wanting to cause trouble, but this sure is a good scouting area. maybe we- err...I can ask some questions about what they want. A fight would draw some unwanted attention."

The sinuous faceplate receded back around his neck revealing his full face.

"I'm not wanting to cause trouble-at least not with you. The name's Z. And why are you up here exactly?"

Jeanne raised an eyebrow though her face was still concealed in the darkens of her hood “Who ever he is, he’s certainly Naïve. Everyone from petty criminals to too hero’s know to not reveal their faces so freely.” She said easing her posture but staying on guard. “Well Z, if you must know I was up here enjoying the view. I don’t particularly like large crowds and there is one hell of a crowd below.” She said “and for the meantime call me Q. Now why are you up here especially if your not authorized to work in this area?”

"Well, Q, I'm looking for someone or something that'll allow me to look like a hero" Jaylen admitted as he began pacing opposite of the mystery person. "Well that and I like hopping around. It's really liberating"

"You don't truly believe this person is up here for just 'no reason'? No this person is up to something and you not liking them is eerie enough. We wait for some kind of confirmation to that reason alone"

Jeanne chuckled a bit “So your telling me you’re off bounding around the city, looking for some kind of trouble, just so you can play the Hero. That.. really is funny” she slowly started walking towards him “Tell me Z, why do you want to even be a “Hero” in the first place, in my opinion they aren’t all that great. Mostly they are just a bunch of self righteous assholes ” in a brief moment Jeanne vanished, suddenly appearing behind Z “They kinda suck”  she said reaching a hand out as if she were going to touch his back but she suddenly vanished  again, reappearing on a nearby ledge. “And honestly what’s even the point the world fucked up, even with heroes, and the way I see it that’s never going to change.” As she spoke she walked along the narrow ledge balancing her face turned up at the sky above.

Jaylen let out a sigh and a quick whistle. "Well your outlook on life and how thing's work sound really familiar to how I used to think before I finally got my chance to be something more than human-more than broken." He rolls his neck to adjust and stretch it and as he finished the sinuous mask formed back over his head. "I get to see the world far above what I used to and I get to be the Hero I needed so long ago" With that statement he jolted in a low to the ground bound forward towards the ledge the stranger stood. "You're a very interesting person, Q. You seem like you know some very important things about places you probably shouldn't be. If I may ask. Have you felt something off about this school? I mean other than its constant willingness to produce uppity new heroes who sometimes give the worthwhile ones a bad name. Something strange-threatening- brought me here and I want to know what that might be." He stood waiting a few feet away from Jeanne atop the ledge.

"I don't entirely get what your problem is with them and exactly what it was that's throwing you off. Listen, we gotta find whatever this threat could be and stop it. Whatever, help we can find would be dire to making that a possibility"

-hmm...not sure. this stranger worries me and i do not want to be close-

"I can understand that. I'll keep my distance. In the mean time try to get a scan of her face and see if we can find out more about her."

Jeanne cast her gaze to the bottom of the building and the darkness below, “I don’t know what you mean I’m just an innocent little thing” she said in a mockingly sweet tone before chuckling lightly.  She sat in silence for a moment before reaching into her pocket and pulling out the piece of paper she took from Gift. “Honestly, this campus does have some… interesting characters roaming about, but if you wanna play hero so badly this piece of paper should be of use for you “investigation” it was given to us by some strange man in a very ugly suit.” She placed the paper between two fingers “But if you want the information you’re going to have to catch it first.” She released the paper letting the wind grab and dance it away, as she then leaped off of the building falling to what would certainly be her death, but as she hit the darkness Jeanne teleports to a nearby alley before  slipping into the crowd of students getting ready to attend todays event.

As she fell Jaylen barely noticed the paper dance off with the wind. In shock he nearly leapt down to catch the stranger before they seemed to vanish into the shadows. "...woah"

"Psh-shit, fuck! No it's nothing to be worried about" As Jaylen finally pulled his focus towards something just a bit more important-not that much more but more- and with Walkman's help located the scrap of paper and leapt for it. Snatching it out of the air and began reading

"Well this is gonna be a little harder than I thought it'd be, but this is far from useless. We have something and that's what matters now. Any idea what they meant by Extereus?" ...

"Are you gonna shut down on me a lot today cause if you're getting tired make sure you tell me before I'm 20 feet in the air and suddenly lose the use of my legs again. Buddy, you okay?"

-not a good day. humans i do not like. being worried about things i can not see. it worries me that i feel so blind-

"Existential dread - that one's new didn't think you'd be capable of it. Let's get down and rest up. We can talk while I wheel around looking for a guy in a very ugly suit apparently"

Jaylen finds a pair of buildings to use as a dismounting location and leaps below. In the alley way he dismissed the full suit and pulls out a special device. That after a simple button push folds out into a fully functional wheel chair. Settling down into it and wheeling himself out into the open.

"Rest up Walkie I got some people to talk to"

"Take what time you need it's you and me always remember that"

The football crowd was dense. The game wouldn't start for another few hours 5but pregame festivities were in full swing. Groups roamed the campus, singing the BCU fight song in loud, drunk voices. The smells of grilling filled the air closer to the stadium. As more and more people arrived, it seemed like it would be a pleasant day.

Among the smiling and laughing pedestrians, a figure stands out. Walking at their own pace, they wear a black hoodie and soot-covered jeans. To keen observers, they almost seem to be steaming.

Any characters in the area can make a lvl 4(DC 12) intellect task, modified by any perception skills, to notice the figure.

Jaylen Zilla rolled 11 using 1d20.  To notice the hoodie wearing figure in the crowd. Using 2 points of int effort to lower the difficulty

After a few rolls around the campus and a few questions asked here and there of if Jaylen needed help he settled on heading towards the stadium when he noticed the figure slightly appearing to steam.

"Woah, what the hell? Can you get a scan off on that guy? It's not everyday someone walks around steaming in broad daylight. remember just the eyes no need for a full suit up- at least not yet"

-understood. focus on the target and we can get the scan-

Jaylen pulls up his hood and shields his eyes as a form of sinuous carapace forms over them

As Jaylen watches the figure make its way through the crowd there is an apparent desperation to his movement. He shoves his way closer and closer to the stadium as the scan manages to catch him.

"Good lord this guy is burning up. He seems weirdly focused on getting to the stadium. We gotta tail him."

Jaylen wheels himself faster to catch up to the person. Trying his damn hardest seeing as he's bound to a wheelchair and would be pretty easy to point out in a crowd. Staying within 10 feet of the hooded man and keeping a close eye on him.

Jaylen tries to constantly keep himself within at least sight of the man, but keeps failing to notice his surroundings and bumps into several people, gets stuck on pebbles, and all around fumbles with his chair altogether. Making audible curses just about every time he screws it up.

"Fuckin- piece of useless....I hate this thing so much"

As he made his way through the crowd, Cinder felt his sweet evaporating as quickly as he could produce it. He didn't have to force his way through, people didn't want to be near the heat that surrounded him. The eye shadow he had applied that morning was a mess now, giving him a ghastly appearance. He just needed to get into that damn stadium.

The crowd actively avoided looking at him so he had no fear of being stopped. No fear until he heard the obnoxious sound from behind him. At first, he assumed it was just another attendee having trouble navigating the mob, but looking over his shoulder he saw the wheelchair-bound man watching him. He couldn't mistake the man's intentional pursuit.

No no no no no, Cinder knew he had lost his advantage of surprise, he'll ruin everything. Everything I've worked for.

The air around the man seemed to broil as he stopped and turned. Under his hood, he was a pale face man no older than 20, scowling at Jaylen. After a brief moment of eye contact between the two, Cinder wordlessly reached out to the nearest person and touched them. His target screamed as their body ignited in flames, quickly falling to ash in moments.

The armor forms, enveloping his entire body as he stood. Jaylen leaped himself off and attempted to create a perimeter around the flaming psycho. The left behind wheelchair collapsing back into the small cube form.

"Everyone! Please, clear the area this is an emergency! Head to the nearest shelter and alert the hero's and police!"

"You psychotic son-of-a-bitch! What the hell!"

As the crowd began to push against her Jeanne quickly pocketed the watch she had just slipped off a nearby gentleman’s wrist, quickly however the light shoving became a stampede of panic as a woman life was brought to an end as a screaming mass of charred remains. “you have got to be FUCKING KIDDING ME” she yelled Her voice a mixture of anger and annoyance. Then she heard a voice yell for someone to call the heroes, looking for the voice she saw the familiar figure in his pajama like suit, although this time his face was completely covered and from the looks of it he was trying to control the situation. “ oh fuck me, that guys going to get himself killed. Managing a super as well as a trying to wrangle a crowd this big. … why should I get involved I should get the fuck out before the heroes show up, but I can’t just leave this Pj man to die….. Fuck ME I just wanted a nice calm day of larceny is that to much to ask for.” She thought before pulling darkness around her face and form to conceal her identity.

With extreme speed she ran toward the offender, as she got closer she could feel the heat flowing off of him, but she pushed through. Once she was free of the crowd she sprinted forward and once one him she dropped suddenly swinging one leg around with the full force of her momentum aiming her shin directly for his knee.

Before he could manage to give the  person behind him attention a figure wreathed in shadows burst from the crowd and dashed past Jaylen directly towards the flaming individual. The person seeming to go for a brilliant knee buster.

"Woah, shit! Actually, this is perfect. With the two of us we might actually stand a chance. Time to act, Walkman! Let's snuff this guy out and use him as our springboard to being a hero"

Jaylen crouched and sprang towards the villain and with a swift motion brought his knee up to meet the maniac's nose
