It is May 26, 1945, near the end of World War II,  and you are a soldier or resistance fighter from any nation of the world.  You are naturally talented, well-trained, and a veteran of combat.  You have seen the horrors of war first-hand, and survived.

You are unceremoniously kidnapped by a time-hopping UFO and taken far from earth's solar system, and perhaps somewhere else in time.  Something accidental happens and the UFO crash lands on an alien world, and the crash kills all the alien captors in the process.  You survive the crash due to your stasis cell chamber, and awake to find yourself in this unbelievable, yet real, situation.

You discover that you are not the only living survivor of the alien vessel crash landing, and that there are many others.  There are some American soldiers and German soldiers from World War II, but even more amazing there are soldiers from early 17th Century France and people from late-20th Century America.

Even more amazing than these events and revelations, you discover that some of the other kidnapped survivors of the crash are intelligent aliens, vaguely human-like aliens, and indistinguishably human-like aliens who come from different worlds, galaxies, and timelines.

You find yourself in a tropical or sub-tropical climate and among vaguely Mesoamerican looking ruins that are overgrown.  You and the others have climbed a nearby ziggurat to gain an advantageous view of the surrounding terrain, and a good view of the crash landing site.

Unbelievably,  you discover that alien kidnappers had a slave crew of radioactive zombies that also have been freed by the crash landing.  You notice that they were milling about the crash site until they targeted the living - you and the others.  They are rapacious and are moving toward your position en masse to feast upon your incredibly scrumptious and living brains!
