[Reference] Leveling Up

When a commoner reaches 10XP they have an opportunity to level up. For most classes they have a sudden realization of their full potential. For Clerics and Elves they feel a calling from their Patron. For Wizards it’s some mind-expanding event that causes their first spells to embed in their minds.

For Elves: You do not earn your mithril item until you reach a community of elves or find a piece from a fallen elf.

For Wizards and Elves: You may either choose your starting 1st level spells from the introductory PDF or roll randomly from the full book.
DCC does not use spellbooks, but you can create one for flavor or use some other method for remembering lost spells the next day.
Do not roll for Mercurial Magic until you first cast your spell! I will tell you the results from the DCC rulebook, not the anemic chart in the PDF!

If you still control more than one PC who levels up I will split your PCs into separate character sheets.

After the intro adventure you may only run two PCs at a time on an adventure unless the the danger comes to them first. Your two PCs may not be of the same class.

If you lose all your PCs? Roll four commoners to accompany the Adventurers as apprentices.
