To speed things up:

The ring is gift from one of the Seven Elf Lords to his mistress. You can use it as a +1 ring of protection or return it to the elf lord for a boon out of gratitude.

While +1 protection is always appreciated, we need cash to upgrade our tin pots and feather dusters for proper armour and weapons.
Let's return it to the elf lord for boon!

What kind of book do you ask for, specifically?

So was the Elf Lord's ring for his mistress, or for his mistress?  It'd be funny if it was for the latter but the Lord's wife cursed it so the ring not only gives +1 protection but also causes the wearer to gain a hundred pounds.  "How did your girlfriend like that, Mr. High-and-Mighty Elf Lord?  And don't give me that 'but baby, she means nothing to me' crap!  You can go sleep on the throne for all I care!"

Your boon is written in the Book of Elven Boons. But you have to trade the ring in first.

Hey gang, it's been a month since the restart so I should finally admit that I don't have it in me to keep going. I've come to the conclusion that DCC isn't the right system for me. Thanks for the last year and keeping the game going, but I should bow out.

Over the weekend I went to Scrum-Con and ran two funnel sessions of Return to the Starless Sea. We had a total blast! I also played in a friend’s DCC game and a session of Umerican Survival Guide.

I also did some trading at the con flea market. Bought some DCC modules and a bunch of zines, as well as a Black Hack cyberpunk rulebook called Dancing with Bullets Under a Neon Sun. Very tempted to run a game of it.

Yeah, DCC modules are awesome!  I have been a fan of them since before there was a DCC RPG, and the modules were reminiscent of old AD&D modules.

Welp, it's been two weeks so I think I'll call it done. Thank you everyone for playing and I'll see you in other games.
