With grim determination, the survivors of the first foray who retained their freewill gather at the cursed well, its toxic secrets still reeking even from up here.

Halton walks with a spring in his step as he continues his story about what the fortune teller said about their adventure.  "And so, though some of us may not come back alive, we will ultimately succeed in our adventure and save the lands from the evil madman Whatshisname!"

The halfling pulls a bit of crusty bread from his satchel.  Between bites he exclaims, "This is the best day ever!"

Uriwan and Katarina both roll their eyes at Halton's cheery demeanor.  They look down the well with a visible sense of revulsion.  Uriwan speaks for the both of them, "I do not wish to return to this god-forsaken hole, but we can't leave Chaoxiang to the whims of some madman.  I only wish we could have gotten some better armor and weapons.  Oh well, what we have will have to do.  Let's get this over with." He sighs and looks at the others, hoping someone will take the lead, because he sure doesn't want to do that.
